Yes it is a 2010 R series AWD - goes quite well on the beach as long as you air down, turn traction control off, use 4WD lock and put it in "tip tropic" so you control gear changes and use the cars torque to "pull" it through.
Hey! I've just bought a second hand Hyundai Santa Fe in Brazil. It´s a 2.7 V6 and I totally love it. I Tell that one of the reasons I bought the hyundai was because of this video because I wanted a SUV with a few off-roading capabilities. I'm still unsure about driving it on the sand, as we have a few places like that here in Brazil! Thanks for the great video! Ohh btw, I love the car!
I am actually really surprised at how capable it was in the sand... Impressed.. in Australia they have a Santa Fe series R which is the turbo diesel, impessive amount of torque and reasonable price to.. thanks for the vid
i bet at 1:22 the guy ran up and said ..push the button to lock all the wheels...these things for what they are go pretty good..if you push the button to lock the wheels to all spin
I have one. On really soft sand deflate to 15psi and I've never been stuck, yet. Been to Stockton and many other beaches. Drive it in manual selector. The transmission lock comes in handy.

Some decent offroad tyres and the Santa Fe is more than capable of off road driving. lovely car in this video :)

i've got one of these... AWD but manual transmission. Glad to see what it can do in the sand (without actually taking it out on the sand).

ive got a 2010 r spec diesel highlander. Love this car goes awesome, ive only just started to take it off road and so far so good!

Is this sante fe an AWD? We've just purchased one that says AWD but has a 4wd lock, so hoping we'll be able to take it on Stockton as well!
