The precise rankings in this quartile are not published. • @mikhaildrift
      @mikhaildrift 4 роки тому +5

      Keith Lamb how is he intelligent? Half of shit he kept saying are things that he can’t prove nor we have facts about it. No one know about sex life of hunter and gather, it’s not like they kept a journal/notes.

    • @sulandelemere
      @sulandelemere 4 роки тому +20

      Micheal Pivovarov well you're right you could dispute his arguments as Joe does. His intelligence (from my point of view) comes from his linguistic skills and his ability to take on criticism.

    • @mikhaildrift
      @mikhaildrift 4 роки тому

      Keith Lamb but how does ability to take on criticism is being intelligent?!?! Come on, I hope you aren’t one of those people that think is earth is flat. They (some) could take criticism well and be calm and try to prove you wrong but that insanity to think earth is flat.

    • @sulandelemere
      @sulandelemere 4 роки тому +12

      Well intelligence at least its definition, I believe, is very subjective. If what he says, as you claim, can't be proven either way, why would you believe him not being able demonstrate 100% proof, on an unscientific podcast that lasts a couple of hours, as a measure of intelligence?

    • @mikhaildrift
      @mikhaildrift 4 роки тому

      Keith Lamb Keith Lamb if I understood your question correctly, is because we don’t know history of earth past idk like 500 years. Yes we know what tribes/people lived where but they didn’t really leave any history nor dairy.We could only hypothesize based on bones/tools we find, but not how they lived/social status. He could be intelligent in some other subject/live experience, I don’t take that way from him because I don’t know that side of him, but based on this subject, it’s just illogical to put something that either he or I or anyone could really prove only if to make a time machine and actually interact with some tribe, which we can’t. And mainly not just go back in to the past but interact because just observing won’t allow u to get them completely, you need to add talking to them, understanding their beliefs, so much more. What I’m trying to say, for example, I completely don’t know you, all I see is your name, which could be made up/don’t know how you look/your age/where u live/male or not, but I would probably be able to hypothesize more about your life much more than what happened 1000 years ago as I live in the present as you. But I could only hypothesize, I can’t be for sure about any part of your life/lifestyle. So to say how someone lived 1000 or 5000 years ago is just irrational and illogical.

      @@smokingcrab2290 No, it's a way of saying "sexual jealousy is a corrosive and childish emotion based on low self esteem and insecurity". True love isn't about sexual enslavement via monogamy, it's about amoung many other things, trust and respect. That means allowing each other the freedom to express their sexuality however the fuck they like as long as it doesnt involve raping anyone or bareback anal sex with bisexual Hatian IV drug users.
      Hell, even that last part is negotiable. As long as your partner knows about it, they can choose whether they want to take the risk of fucking you. The fact is that MOST people engage in polyamory to some extent. They just lie their asses off about it, which makes it a form of non consensual sexual behavior similar to sexual assault when in a nominally monogamous relationship.
      For most (but not all) people, mongamy is a struggle against nature and biology.
      Who usually wins that struggle - man or nature?

      Meh 😒 ... you are spouting a lot of “bro science” , a common feature found in many regular JR Podcast listeners .
      If you want facts , try this on for size : Testosterone deficiency is exceedingly less common than marketing campaigns and "The Joe Rogan Podcast" culture would have us believe.
      Low testosterone-known as hypogonadism or hypotestosteronemia-is real for a very slim percentage of men.
      For the rest of us , Testosterone levels fall by only 1 to 2 percent a year after age 40, regardless of lifestyle .
      The guest is more on point here with what the studies ACTUALLY show .
      Rogan is merely spreading his “bro science” silliness , and simultaneously justifying his steroid use .

    Jealous is one of the most misused words in American English today. You are jealous of things that are yours, you don't want others to have them. You envy things that others have, you want them. People usually say they are "jealous" when they should say envious. "Oh my god you got the new iPhone, I'm so jealous!" Nope, that's envy, not jealousy...

      @@nGUNNARp Well those used to be the actual definitions of the terms, I think that now it depends on where you look up the definitions. Some sources will consider them to be synonyms. But, if you think about it either one can be motivating or depressing. Envy of someone else's success can motivate you to go out and achieve success of your own, but it can also make you depressed that you don't have the same opportunities that the other person has. Conversely being jealous can cause you to drive someone away that you are trying to hang on to, which could cause depression as a result, but it could also cause you to be more able to protect someone or something from a real threat that turns up or to improve yourself because you almost lost what you had...

    I like how Joe completely caught the guy off guard by pointing out valid flaws in the data collection, all in defense of his own testosterone levels.

    I love his podcasts but Joe is definitely not as good of an interviewer as he used to be. He pushes his beliefs so hard on anybody that has a difference of opinion and he gets much more defensive than he used to.

    I got married, had two sets of twin boys and my testosterone got really low like 299!!! Less than half of what it should have been for my age. I worked out 5 times a week stayed active but it still dropped. So I started some testosterone therapy........It wasn’t the best situation to be in!! Testosterone got back to normal levels and I couldn’t keep the women away......DEAD SERIOUS!!! This guy is right, not the best idea to be pumped full of test when in a monogamist relationship

    It feels like personal responsibilty is what divides Hippel and Ryan groupies. A farmer sows enough plants that he can handle. Another farmer comes along and admires the farmers plants. The first farmer asks if he may go see the other farmers plants. Second farmer says sure and they go to his plants. They're both pleased. They both have a few drinks and they go hunting. Now they live together... Wait what?
