Being a Doctor, working actively across india I flew quite a lot during pandemic. Airports and flights scared me more than Covid ICUs. Because i know everyone around me is infected, so i use necessary PPE carefully and consciously. But I can’t imagine what the cabin crew went through, flying across the world, constantly in proximity in a closed cabin with people who could’ve travelled from God knows where all while wearing a simple surgical mask. I always thanked them during deboarding & give some chocolates as a token of gratitude.

Recently quit my Cabin Crew Job after six years. Felt connected with so much that she said. It was indeed fun being a Crew but now it feels so much better having a routine life and a regular night sleep.

How do you deal with lesser privileged people who are going for jobs overseas like I know a lot of people go to the middle east and they are getting on a flight probably for the first time in their lives and either they are too reserved/ intimidated or are insanely fidgety?
@@judgementholder I personally always treated every passenger considering they're the ones putting food on my table. These are the best passengers to fly with. I used to try to listen, understand and respond accordingly taking care to keep them easy in the surrounding.

I remember a flight I took to my hometown from Mumbai along with my mom. There was a kid who kept throing things and kicking my mom's seat. The kid's family found his behavior delightful as he apparently was an "active" kid. Hats off to t he flight attendant who took his parents and other family members to task and made them discipline the kid. Me and mom bretahed a sigh of relief else our 2.5 hr flight would have beeen a headache.

@@arpit.sharma I was just kidding man btw on a serious note a flight ticket costs between 3k-4k for 1500km on average if booked a month in advanced. I don't think most of middle class don't take it because they can't afford it, they could afford 4k.... I think it's because either 1. they need to travel regularly so train or bus would save them significant money overtime or 2. they don't travel at all

This is an eye opener for a lot of girls... Kudos to this woman for speaking the truth
The problem with most fatigued crew is layovers are treated as outings, they reach hotel but immediately leave for party and shopping. Then you return zoned out otherwise rest period given by operator and authorities are sufficient for rest, not for party and fun. Handover and reporting time is an issue, that airlines need to sort out.
Salary is good as per the qualification and other criteria 12th pass k baad you are paid 60-70K starting that's same as IAS/IPS.
