St Pancras to Sheffield is already in our catalogue. It is MIDLAND MAINLINE Driver's eye view.
Thanks for this. This was very informative as I will be travelling to Paignton in a few days and I will changing at Newton Abbot.
I have been waiting years for this! Newton abbot is my home town!!!!
By HST West. It gets a good mention on there.
NeelyFanForever got it on video
Now that's a title i look forward to buying along with the Barnstaple title both are available at Train Pictures your Australian distributer just after i get my hands on North Wales Coast and Welsh Marches both of which i have on order.
I wonder if the Tamar valley line is most tortuous branch line in Britain, in terms of the tight curves and steep gradients
Liskeard to Looe would run it a pretty close second!
God I miss Devon!
Cool!
Seems odd not hearing Anton Roger's voice on a Devon video. RIP Anton.
He’s been dead for 14 years now
Wow, Just when Wish list
Interesting this one, the steep gradients and tight curves on the Tamar Valley route means that Pacers cannot use it. It was also a revelation that sometimes the sprinters can have problems negotiating the gradients at such slow speeds
Pacers did run on this line about1980 period but made a terrible noise on curves.
If pacers made horrible noises on the curves it would be hilarious to see a mainline train go down there 😆
@@flynnabbott the thing about pacers is that they had a basic 4 wheel setup, based on the High Speed Freight Wagon chassis. This basically meant that they were by design cheaper to build than conventional trains, but in doing so, removed any articulation from the vehicles. This meant that not only were they bouncey over jointed track and points, but incredibly noisy and rough over tight curves. Although intended for branch lines, there were some lines, like the Gunnislake branch, that weren't suitable for use by Pacers
@@SiVlog1989 right that makes sense
