This is one of the best photography video I have ever seen! Inspiring and amazing photography... AND amazing post processing! I love your wildlife photos with the white high key background... creative and beautiful... taking nothing away from your others photos... amazing work!
The Gudmann & Gyda books are amazing. Being the owner of two of their publications I can tell you they believe in their work. This video is inspiring. Thank you.
Thanks so much for this. It feels like a green oasis in the desert of pixel peeping and gear obsessing that makes up so very much of the photographic content landscape. Yes, gear matters. This though is evergreen and so much more rewarding.
Amazing collections and exceptional art work. Inspired to me to put step forward. I am learning to achieve image like you showed up here. Want to satisfied my eye first.
This is so helpful. I deeply appreciate what you are doing, and I always enjoy your videos. Your photos are astonishingly good and a real inspiration. Thank you for all you do.
Fantastic video, your art is beautiful and thank you for the motivation. The editing offers amazing ideas for photography I loved everything about this video! Your channel is at the top of my list.
You two captured the joy of discovering and exploring new areas. I was just in Alaska, the sounds of puffins are so fun. I encourage everyone to watch every post.
Thankyou, I took a lot from this video. Exactly what I needed to see and hear at this point in my photographic journey. At last the algorithm played in my favour and focused on the possibilities of a creative journey, not just the daily droll that stifles creativity.
This video is the best I have seen. It is full of vital information for any photographer. You two are an amazing team ! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and techniques !! Being an almost 72 year old amateur, I get a feeling of satisfaction every time I venture out in nature with my camera.
It is rare to find on UA-cam any Channels or videos that are not fully concentrated on the gear, equipment or the technical aspects of video and/or photography. Although technical information is relevant, I found to be secondary compared to the vision, creative process and the inspiration process. I enjoyed to watch this video. I got the Grimsey Book when of my visit to the Island early July of this year. Cheers to the great county of Iceland.
Well said as we can become suffer from tunnel vision when out and about. Thought the photographs displayed In this video are brilliant I have also enjoyed watching some of your vlogs.👍😃
Superb. Sorry it took me a while to find this video but worth it for, not only the fantastic art featured but also the inspirational description of your journey to make it. Thank you.
I literally enjoy your video presentations. Thank you for your willingness and patience in all weather conditions and thank you for all the video projections and explanations. My gift. Vlado from Slovenia
enjoyed the video, what technique do you use to eliminate the back grounds like the eagle returning to the nest, consider doing A tutorial on how that's done in Photoshop
Your videos are so inspiring 😊 when I watch them I get excited to step out and try new techniques and my eyes open to new ideas of capturing awesome photography. Thank you so much and god bless you for touching my inner self to discover
i love this kind of videos, i guess this type of content should have more exposure instead of the typical and bored new gear video photography..... super inspired, lucky me i found it :) subscribed!
This is the best photography video I have ever watched. For me, it not only comes from a very deep understanding, love and understanding of creativity but a desire to teach. You guys are not only pundits (experts) but gurus (experts who can teach). Thank you for the real and honest insights into your work - it’s inspired me to go back out and try all the time. Your thoughts on fine art have also made me rethink my approach to photography. Lastly, I love the glimpses of Iceland. It’s the only place in the world that is similar to where I grew up (the Himalayas but without the sea) and I’d love to keep visiting for the rest of my life. Thank you again.
We are still experimenting with style in our videos. It´s nice to see you can relate to some of our points and the way we approach the subject. It is inspiring to get nice comments like yours! Thank you.
Thank you Einar and Gyda for the inspiring pieces of advice! Enjoyed watching this so much (same for the rest of your videos though I am trying to catch up!) :)
Wonderful video and I love Iceland for wildlife photography. I like the way you change some of your photos to fine art prints so they look like paintings. Do you use filters for that or is it all done via photoshop? Thanks and great video.
What a generous testimony.... So inspiring to listen to you ... today, I am leaving with your definition of what is fine art but I will come back and watch this video over and over as as there are so many other messages and advices I need to take with me... I received your book "A photo guide to 100 Locations in Iceland" It is a truly a wonderful and indispensable resource... thanks for sharing so many of your secrets... I discovered you two through your bird/wildlife photography interest but I realize now thanks to this video that your art, creativity and talent have no limit!!! Congratulations to both of you for your accomplishments and your passion!
It is wonderful to hear from you. We are so pleased that you liked the book - and your comments about the video are appreciated. Thank you for your nice comments!
@@GudmannAndGyda Hallo again! In the video at time 4.00 there is a white-tailed eagle landing in the nest. I like that image and the technic with the birds I the middle and then white colour to the edge. Is that anything that you can show how to do in photoshop to get that result?? Best regards Hans-Olof
Fantasic video. I've re-watched this multiple times to allow it to sink in. What is the name of the process used to remove some of the color and add a drawn feel to an image (10:00). The effect is stunning and a style I would love to experiment with in my own work
Best photography video I've seen on youtube in a long time, and a great introduction to your work as well. I wholeheartedly agree with many of your points, especially about protecting the passion. That is very important for me and something I constantly consider. Also, "shipping beats perfection": We have a saying in Norway which I live by which is: "Det perfekte er det godes fiende". Roughly translated: "Perfection is the enemy of greatness". In a sense, I've always interpreted that saying like you two say, shipping beats perfection. Bob Dylan also said that "good artists borrow, great artists steal" but he probably stole that quote! hehe. Thanks for the video!
I’m gonna copy some of that :P I’m really wanna get into this free mindset, it’s like small steps at a time, but I’m not really there yet. But who ever is really there? Thanks for this great piece of art, this really moves my heart. Your photos are as always incredible.
Go for it! and thanks for kind words. You are welcome to copy as much as you want - the trick with good ideas it so make them our own - we try to keep an open mind by exploring.
I find this channel very interesting and especially well done by this cool looking duo. However the views and subscriptions are poor. Please warm up the mood to give this couple wings.

Thank you so much 😀 - coming from a master like you we really appreciate it.

Really good to see an inspiring video from professional photographers whose business is based on selling art rather than training

Glad it was helpful! The process is mostly done in PS by adding a layer where a pencil or a brush is used to paint the colors in with transparency.
Fantastic lessons here...
