MGS 1 was the best game ever made and you know it, It was the first game I ever got into as a kid (I was 7) and I've loved it ever since. It's the reason I'm a gamer. No game could replicate that experience.. R.I.P Snake
this year has witnessed the end of three of the greatest franchises ever made.. Batman.. the witcher.. and now metal gear.. and the 3 of them ended in a memorable way... it's a sad year for gaming.. but that sadness is covered by how great those games were.. and how great they ended... it's truly an amazing year...
They could do a Witcher 4 as a new series, but unlikely. Also, the last Batman wasn't all that great. You spent far too much time in the Batmobile it was a poor choice to do so and it hurt the game in a big way. Not to say the game wasn't good, it just wasn't great.
***** I was 10 when I played MGS1 on 2000 and I really enjoyed it but MGS2 is my favorite for emotional reasons and it was my "partner" during a period in school where no one paid attention to me. All I wanted was go back home and play MGS2 to feel alive, hahaha. Since then I've enjoyed every game (haven't played 4 cause I couldn't afford a PS3) but Sons of Libery is my fav. It's sad to see the saga end but we still have one more game to go.

Watching this makes me feel very melancholy. I'm very excited for this game and have been waiting a very long time. Watching the the revisits to past games made me remember that I was only 8 since I played MGS for the very first time, I'm 25 now. I grew up with this franchise and knowing this is probably gonna be the final game makes it feel like the ending of generation. This game series has come a long way and I thank hideo Kojima for every aspect of this game helped cultivate along with his staff. I don't think I'll ever get this excited for a game like this ever again. Thanks for a the action packed years you given us.

I really like the whole metal shrapnel embedded into his head, because, if you didn't know, it acts kinda like a Devil's horn, where it increases in size for the more evil actions you perform, like in Dishonored, where playing Stealthy or Guns-A-Blazing actually has an affect, in this game, it changes how big your "devil horn" is, and Big Boss will also have a more angry/evil look on his face. There's also a strap on your main uniform which acts the same way, and it's supposed to symbolize a devil's tail. I think it's really cool, because it's never really pointed out, and it's not a HUGE change, and many people may not even realize this.
Only a couple hours left guys... might as well get this all out. As an old gamer (30 is old for gamers eh? ) Metal Gear Solid was the first game that captured my imagination and made me feel as a part of the game. I first felt empathy for the people I killed and for the character I was playing. I felt as if I was truly in the story and that snake was an extension of myself. It will forever be a feeling I won't forget. I played each game watching snake evolve... along with his "dad" Big Boss. Snake Eater came out when I joined the army and it took me to a familiar place when everything seemed foreign and uncomfortable... a freaking fictional character grounded me and took me to a place I knew. This continued with subsequent games... now I am 30 and in med school doing this whole grownup thing. I find it harder and harder to get "into" a game the way I did when I was a kid as I grow older, my imagination is fading. That's why I find this as not only a sendoff to what will always be my favorite series, but I feel like this is one last time for me to be that kid again and transport to that world... it is actually pretty emotional for me. Saying goodbye to that kid. How fitting...
I've heard from people in the media that these trailers do a very good job at misleading us as to what actually happens in the game, so honestly who the heck knows. It is weird seeing the crispy corpse Big Boss from Metal Gear 2. I wonder if we'll see Solid Snake burn him alive, since in this trailer we see they already have a burned Big Boss model... I was 5 when I play my very first MG in my big brother NES (He's not with us anymore) I'm old but happy to make it trhu the end of the saga but at the same time is the end of an era and it's so sad to witness the closure of everything that MG represent. One last push, in loving memory.

At 2:47 when Big Boss is engulfed in flames could be where Metal Gear 2: Snakes Revenge gives Big Boss that change in facial features, ah man ...that bio-pedal mech at the end sort of a throwback to ZOE SO HYPE.
I may not remember all the crazy details that made this series a masterpiece, but this trailer still gives me the chills from all the "memories" throughout the games history.

This game (Metal Gear Solid Series) is so deeply rooted to my chilhood and it made me think differently when approaching certian situations. This is a great sendoff for Hideo with his creation. Snake Eater came out when I joined the army and it took me to a familiar place when everything seemed foreign and uncomfortable... a freaking fictional character grounded me and took me to a place I knew. This continued with subsequent games... now I am 30 and in med school doing this whole grownup thing. I find it harder and harder to get "into" a game the way I did when I was a kid as I grow older, my imagination is fading. That's why I find this as not only a sendoff to what will always be my favorite series, but I feel like this is one last time for me to be that kid again and transport to that world... it is actually pretty emotional for me. Saying goodbye to that kid. How fitting...

I've heard from people in the media that these trailers do a very good job at misleading us as to what actually happens in the game, so honestly who the heck knows. It is weird seeing the crispy corpse Big Boss from Metal Gear 2. I wonder if we'll see Solid Snake burn him alive, since in this trailer we see they already have a burned Big Boss model... I'm wondering if that's the scene it was made for.

In the hospital the guy in bandages that gets you out is the real Big Boss. The one with the horn shrapnel in his head is actually.......... Solidus Snake, future president of the United States and BB clone with Solid Snake and Liquid.

At 2:47 when Big Boss is engulfed in flames could be where Metal Gear 2: Snakes Revenge gives Big Boss that change in facial features, ah man ...that bio-pedal mech at the end sort of a throwback to ZOE SO HYPE.
Kojima is one of the best of all time and this will be GOTY!!!! I cant wait to see what else he puts out...hopefully another Zone of the Enders!!

Amazing trailer. I kinda spaced out and realized that this trailer made me emotional and I couldn't figure out why. Then BOOM. Nostalgia. This game (Metal Gear Solid Series) is so deeply rooted to my chilhood and it made me think differently when approaching certian situations. This is a great sendoff for Hideo with his creation. His work, his art. Dope
Never played a Metal Gear game. (Except for the crappy 3DS port of Snake Eater) but this made me tear up a bit, for some reason.
