That's a march by Thomas Bidgood who hailed from Woolwich, Kent, He is perhaps best remembered for his ever popular Sons of the Brave, another of his compositions. Given the significance the Battle of Vimy Ridge has in Canadian military history, Bidgood's march of the same name has, to some degree, been appropriated by Canadians. While he might even be pleased by that development, the origin of the Vimy Ridge march remains undeniably British to its core.

@47:31 the officer starts to give the wrong command. Great realisation and fast change to the correct 'Change Arms'. The realisation he was going wrong in front of Her Majesty and the whole world must have been a real sphincter moment. You can see the 'oh bollocks' look on his face! But well done that man - He stopped, gave the correct command and carried on.
noticed a minor mistake at 47:23, the lead officer told the Escort to the Colour to advance before commanding the changing of arms. you could see him realise the mistake straight after but recovered well. hope he wasn't punished, and if so not too badly!

33:09 Harry doesn’t have any problem sitting near to camilla nor talking to her! He looks quite happy. I wonder what changed his views on camilla and on royal family.🙄

Очень завораживает! В линию без разметки! Супер!
1:12:40 is Vimy Ridge. Canadian march being played in Britain. Class act from the Guards there. God Save The United Kingdom and God Save The Queen.

Much better without the inane BBC commentary. People want the spectacle, the precision and the music, they want to experience what it is like to be there!😊
I was lucky enough to have found Prince Philip's funeral on BBC Parliament (or maybe BBC4) in a commentary-free version. I hope that will be on UA-cam one day.
Thanks very much for this. Great camera and audio work.
It's all the BBC's work.
Es gibt nichts besseres, nur wie die unter der Bärenfellmütze noch was sehen können , verstehe ich nicht. Das ist schon genial.
47:27...nearly buggered it. Forgetting to change arms.
I wonder if the troops would have obeyed the wrong command if he'd not corrected himself. Presumably they'd have had to.
@@jimdaw65 Yes they would have and put up with any discomfort.
noticed a minor mistake at 47:23, the lead officer told the Escort to the Colour to advance before commanding the changing of arms. you could see him realise the mistake straight after but recovered well. hope he wasn't punished, and if so not too badly!
It is great NOT having commentary
...the best part is when HM is tapping along with the band tempo...priceless.
Just a sign that HM is enjoying the event.
1:10:55
this is what i waiting for yeah
Damn that mistake with the change arms and he still manage to carry on and fix his mistake quickly. Can't imagine what would be going on through your mind commanding a massive parade this large scale. Massive respect to all those who serve.
I begin my Phase 1 Training Next month. Really can't wait. 😅
Please could you timestamp the mistake? I couldn’t see it anywhere
@@hardalarboard8876 here 47:17
He’s not the captain of the escort, He is the Subaltern of the escort.
Military men are always sharp!;!!
Yeah, I'm a veteran and noticed that when he did it. I felt his self-consciousness as he made the error. He recovered well, though.
My water tutn into tea. I wish i were a British. Great country Great people. haha
Yes, we are amazing 🤩
No Huw Edwards blathering, what a relief.
Прекрасно обученные бойцы
Those of the military have a clear understanding of the work involved to deliver the goods, on the parade ground.
God save the Queen, long live the Queen
Cheers dits
Greatly improved without the unctuous announcer giving the commentary!
One of the last countries left where this is a real tradition, not some re-enactment.
God Save the Queen! Long live the Commonwealth!
It an inspiring parade of beauty
Somethings we do get right !
Wish for the commentary. It so amazing how the band changes the music for the march past.
Here is the version with commentary: ua-cam.com/video/LgLppqQb2Pw/v-deo.html
I love GB
Did you know that the right marker of the escort is Warrant Officer Class 1 Sam Brooks? you can see him in the Queen's Birthday parade of 2019
He's a Captain now.
May I say I never realized before just how much Charles looks like Philip?
47:28 (oh fuck, what i had to do? oh yes, change arms) xD
If only they went back to using the Lee-Enfield rifle …
tks
i didnt expect a german march would be on the trooping the colour
He smiled at the time that he gave wrong order and he looks nervous. I don't know what happen after this but it's really hard to remember those stuff.
Pov: He's seem cute a little as soldier. Whatever it's really hard to see royal guards smile.💛💚💞💘💓
Anyone know what the name of the quick inspection is?
Quick inspection music is "First and Finest".

47:20 did he mess up the order? I saw him grimace halfway through the order: Escort to the Color, will advance by the center... then he changed it to change arms.
is that a mess up or is that on purpose
I just looked at the 2022 one, yup he messed up LOLOL. Interesting to see
Bliss !

Horse apples all over the parade ground.
How can they even see out of those bearskins?
What’s the music at 1:07:38
Nijmagen Company March
Sirs !
If the English can do anything, it's formal training. We Germans can't do that (anymore) - but we're quick with the 108 mm tank guns, 80/120 mm mortars and 155 mm artillery. You just have to set priorities!
We should just play "Ode to Joy" for the Russians on these instruments - WE CAN DO THAT! We'll finish the pork cheeks!
Bác Tập Cận Bình vĩ đại nhất cái dải Thiên Hà này
What is all the shouting about? At the beginning
Dressing the ranks to a straight line!
Since the termed three distinct battles of the global battle lines that formed in 1998, those remember as the third battle and battle lines developed globally as well as by the Grace of GOD that the third could exist while rallying globally that where in courage, whatever doubts referenced or and of heard holding, that while the third battle you did not lack the courage to continue forward in responses, not knowing, knowing, yet still, even a unit and some platoon complements what it regards by not disheartened even on reflection on the termed third battle field and battle lines globally standing together to further confront. Hold such knowing in courage that thereby ensures such where VICTORY prevails. While the 8-9 from the battle first, to the lines for the 2nd battle, allowing a third battle and battle lines yet still where numbers to further the VICTORY that history may further reveal will prevail as the formations for the third battle grew from 120-to another 1700 then with 1800 (NATO) then allowing yet still to the 20,000 then 40,000 while the numbers of confronted understood, also understand what courage entails, as the global response rose thereby to and towards 1.2 million - 1.8 million standing to shoulder at arms in confrontations. What defines courage, history prevails.
Considering even such entailed, the one "blymy mate, what a fight" among the formed up elements of the Nato complement (considering)....where history may also allow the tale to carry on where age falters since the battles of 1998. A stalwart courier.
I wonder if the Escort Commander was reprimanded for fluffing his lines.
Bollocked by the RSM, ribbed by the NCOs and bantered by the squaddies and had to buy a few drinks I have no doubt!
How come the sailors are not on the parade? Just curious 🤨
It's an army parade. Household Division and King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery only. The RAF only get involved in the fly past.
