Those bottom two red researches are range/rate, right? If I remember correctly, those two are exceptionally powerful. I think two erns in those upgrades would far outperform the rage guns, it would even make the rage guns you still have angrier. Mortars are most effective on deep layers of creep, so having range makes them able to snipe the deeper parts, and the fire rate makes them chunk through everything. Just a suggestion if you’re having trouble next time, I’m not trying to be one of the top five creeper world players over here.
@@Yaeza31 CW2 also has some. Heck even CW1 evermore has had a borderline impossible world once where you're forced to start near the creeper as the entire planet is flat and that's the only place remotely safe after 2 minutes (I won that one tho after restarting many times and a lot of saving)
I'd say maybe 10-15% of #1444 ones are impossible . It depends on how small the generated map is mostly. some just don't let you stick around at all. I doubt any #4444 is impossible though. Not that I checked. it just doesn't feel like a size 4 can generate a terrain where you can't hold onto some piece of land and crawl out slowly. Maybe in a very rare case when it's mostly void.

Well after an 8 hour game I finally finish and come here to see how your solution differed. Well with being rusty/new I had no idea what the sweeper did so I never built it... Let me tell you, Seeing how useful It was left me slightly annoyed that I spent so long waiting for rockets to launch and airships to build when the a single building was massively more useful and quick.
You probably already know, since this is a year old, but Creeper World IXE is in development. There's videos out about the gameplay by the dev already. I'm so excited! I just wish there was an easy way to restart the campaign of the games so I can replay them all in preparation. Sadly, it's convoluted how you go about doing that.

I found out later in my life that I have autism, and that I can't get other's social cues on when I am taking things too far and had to stop. That annoyed a lot of people and I lost a bunch of friends because of that. After I found out though it took me on a path to rediscovering myself, and get to where I am today. I'm not sure why I typed all of that out. But what I'm trying to say it's this: if you behave like this in real life, you better find out why, so that you can grow and become a better person. I'm not saying that you have autism, but I think the world would be a much better place if people can exert some kind of control on themselves in their lives, online or offline. Of just be a toxic piece of shit, I'm just some weird dude online having a revelation at 4am typing out essays.
I also played the level while watching your video. The other side works, but you have to get there fast with at least 5 energy porters and one arg porter to get a rift going. Once you have that it's just a matter of waiting for the sweeper to start up. What really helps is putting erns into the fire range and fire speed slots, since it makes your mortars much more effective.
Been watching a bunch of your creeper world stuff, & got to the top five best players of all time guy-I really admire the thoughtfulness and care with which you're using your platform when you say you don't want to reduce somebody to content.

This was just a tiny bit painful to watch. The map would have become DRASTICALLY easier if he'd terped the sweeper upwards a few levels when he noticed it was too low. Watching it skim the coasts over and over...
If anything you want the sweeper as low as possible actually. It deletes creep at a set height so if you can make it so the laser sweeps the lowest possible point, it is far better than if it was higher up.
With how much creep there was, a couple levels higher would have much more effective. That said, it worked well enough, and Wander cares much more about fun factor than he does optimal play. It’s his style, but it can lead to some choices that make you scratch your head.
@@l0rf not quite correct. you want the sweeper to cover the whole map. it (usually) doesn't matter what stays below the beam as it's relatively small compared to dozens upon dozens levels of creeper above it everywhere. There are situations where you want it to be low, but generally - more coverage = better.
as someone who thought about it more than once I can say that it might be bad for general gameplay. While I'd love to be able to store something like 500 energy, unlimited buildable storage capacity might make it so that players who have stabilized once will never have a tense moment after that due to sheer amount of expendable energy they have accumulated in their stores. I do share the sentiment though, that at times you really want to just build something like a store for 500 extra energy where you otherwise have to place and disable 10 energy crates until the time they are required.
My single greatest realization has been that I can just block people for any reason on the fanfiction sites and forums that I read. It makes life so much better when I don’t have to engage with vaguely conservative or transphobic noises.
Avoiding the reality of peiole you disagree with isn't great long term. Just deal with it unless your therapist says otherwise, the ability to block people can push people into faux realities and make them incapable of dealing with it later when they have to.
strange i tried the seed and it didnt give me a sweeper at all. EDIT: ah found the issue, i didnt have "allow titan weapons" checked. and ya its impossible without. singularity + two rains and it didnt do a thing to the creep wall.

I've played for both bad and good soccer teams, and one thing common to every bad team was that there was zero communication and the teammates had problems with each other. On the good teams? People knew what they were doing, communicated, and stood up for each other when shit got out of hand. Sorry you had to deal with asshole teammates, that shit's annoying.
Wander did not want to play any of the Creeper World games for some time and attributed his reluctance to the art style. That was mainly before CW4 came out and he was looking at CW3 graphics.

Mark V can generate impossible maps... it's just really rare.
Same thing happened in CW3, there were some maps that were impossible, even with an AI running the show. Like, literally impossible.

I feel like the easy way to take that bottom section early would have been to porter over enough liftec to activate the totems, and use that as a base

They need to make it so you can build energy storage. You run out of energy too fast.
Maybe? But resource control is a primary part of the early game, so it would only get added for minimal maps (where you could just have more land)

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I'm currently playing this map and I don't have access to the sweeper..... I'm not sure this is possible

at 41:00 i would have raised the sweeper by 2 elevation woiuld have saved all your guns in that futile attempt to gain the tip
that sweeper seems quite op... could take out half the map if you have it set up correctly
