  • My Utah Green River canoeing adventure was one for the books. In this video I share a story about an incredible wilderness canoeing adventure down the Green River in Southern Utah with the folks from The River's Path.
    If you're looking for a unique and adventurous Utah Green River canoeing trip to connect with nature, this is an incredible journey.
    On this trip, you'll explore some of the most beautiful and untouched wilderness in Utah. You'll experience calm waters and stunning scenery as you canoe down the Green River in the southern part of the state. Everything is provided when you sign up with The River's Path, a tour operator specializing in transformational adventures.
    ABOUT THIS UTAH GREEN RIVER CANOEING TRIP
    It was the first night of an 8-day Utah Green River canoeing adventure. The rain fly of my tent removed and the sandman subdued, I rolled onto my back to see the moon directly overhead as it shone through the mesh of my shelter. The diffused stars twinkled through, still glowing bright as the sun was far from shining its light.
    We launched our canoes from Ruby Ranch, a private homestead 30 miles south of Interstate 70 and the city of Green River, Utah. Our group of sixteen camped at Ruby Ranch the night before, the first of four campsites along a 45 mile journey through Labyrinth Canyon.
    John Wesley Powell explored the Green River in 1869, in his journal he wrote…the canyon has towering walls that are symmetrically curved and grandly arched with beautiful colors reflected in the calm waters.
    Our journey, like that of a river, changes course over time-you can either go with the flow, or learn to surf. No matter how hard we fight the current, we will never go back to the point we want, therefore the only way we can change our current situation is to move forward. The present is the place where we create the foundations of our future.
    Escaping the pressure of everyday life for a week, with no outside influence or distraction is a prescription for well-being. Giving ourselves time to self-reflect is an imperative for a life well-lived. The bonds created, the collective consciousness shared during this canoe trip is something I will treasure for a lifetime.

    I and 4 friends did the same trip last year. We pushed off from Green River State Park which is a mile or so above I-70. Poplar by the way I believe. (the arch tree) We used two 20' expedition canoes and one kayak. My policy has always been zero gear above the gunwales,, the lower, the better, as you noted,, the high gear makes the boats tippy. Laughing we wore no jackets on our time,, over 100F nearly every day. That is the second time I have done that stretch. I did a full 'Powell' in 2016 plus a bit.

      @@RoadTripTravel Mike, if you need another paddler some day,, just holler. If you have a non paddler, my bow seat works fine for that

    The AI narration voice felt unrealistic and artificial. Detracted from the story & good footage.

    this has the feel of stock video and a fake story

    • @RoadTripTravel
      @RoadTripTravel  Рік тому

      Really? In what way? Not a single clip is stock, not that it matters. How does this feel like a "fake story?" It was my experience. I can assure you it was 100% real.
