compare those specs to the alienware's. its relatively fat and heavy, but it has fast storage, and you can expand with a bigger, or second, PCI-E drive if needed. it can support up to 32 gigs of DDR4 memory, also self upgradable, high quality speakers, a 100% adobe sRGB OLED 1440p display, loads of ports (including two USB type C), tons of performance under the hood (heck it rivals my desktop in performance), and can use any software for video editing you ever need, from movie maker to adobe premiere pro. im not saying the macbook pro is a bad machine, it looks all around decent. its just far overpriced and offers too little for the money, especially when there are other machines, for the same money, that cater to professional users much better than the new macbook "pro". seriously, a dual core i5, with integrated iris graphics, 8 gigs of ram, and a 256gb drive for $1500? that's not pro at all.
I've asked Alienware this question in the past and the answer is essentially "no." Technically OLED does have a higher risk of burn-in than IPS but it's no so high that Alienware won't warranty the product, which they do, fully of course.
The fan and heat pipings is directly below the keyboard just like other gaming laptop. i wonder if that hinge forward design is necessary. it makes the laptop square-ish.
can I just point out that this isn't a r13 but a r14 I know it's hard to find any info online but when you look at the system information it's called the alienware 13,15 and 17 r4 I have a alienware 17 r4
How are the noise levels at small loads? Office + chrome and so on. Does it only spin up noticably when gaming? Want this for both studies and as a LAN computer :) Great video as always guys :)
I can tell you, when it's not spun up gaming, it's virtually silent. It's that quiet. Load it up with GPU workload and that's when things get audible. Until then, you hear very little.
How is the color accuracy of the screen out of the box? I know OLED can be cartoony in color saturation when not properly calibrated, but manufacturers should be able to calibrate it accurately. I wonder if it is done here, or if I have to calibrate it.
It's actually pretty good in that regard, though if you're a workstation pro type, I'd break out the colorimeter or Spyder tool and calibrate it. I do it with all my machines because of the web work we do.
How wide it is? dell.com is reporting it at 15.35 inches, which doesn;t make sense because their Alienware 15 R3 is 15.3 inch (shorter than 13 R3). || Alienware 13 R3 : 0.92" × 15.35" × 10.20 || Alienware 15 R3 : 1" × 15.3" × 12"
Strange question...My old laptop had an issue with being used on the charger and it didnt help the battery at all (stupid on my part). Anyways, after I replaced the battery I began using it like a desktop. basically leaving the laptop plugged in to an outlet with the battery set aside and disconnected only to be used for on-the-go stuff like school. Can I do the same with this laptop?
I have the 15 R3 top spec running and having nothing but problems. Just being on the desktop of windows at 4K on the Intel card the laptop cannot handle it and it lags from minimizing folders or you browser. Only way to run smoothly is running everything on the 1070 which isn't good. 4 occasions laptop has over heated with full ventilation and my left shift is broken I am still waiting on them this week to replace the keyboard and a new mobo but it's likely I think the problems will still be the same after they have done the work and if so I am returning for a full refund. My top spec old 17 R3 had non of these problems. Only good thing is the gaming performance I can play Battlefield 1 at 4k medium settings and it looks stunning way better than 1080 ultra
Large OLED displays are expensive and just not as available as smaller version panels, at this point, unfortunately. Hopefully that will change over time.
They aren't making 15 and 17 oled cuz it will make alienware expensive again.. And from many years we have seen alienware trying to improve the reputation of their brand by making laptops cheaper and cheaper every single year.. Putting a oled might just destroy the reputation again lol
Is oled panel for a laptop is a good idea??? I mean image retention is one thing - lg for example has repairing mechanics in their tvs when they powered off - i dont think this one has - and a laptop has soooo much stationary images. But lifetime is worste then lcd panels! Even lgs wrgb panels (i dont think it has lg oled panel, and wrgb is patented) sooo down the line in a few years it will have image problems, isnt it???
I am very torn between getting this or a Razer blade. slightly leaning towards this because of the several factors. -"13 I want a small device and fairly light weight device that has mobility and desktop cpu at least (the mobile cpu in the stealth will not do for VR and be a potential bottle neck in a few years) -Has external graphics support- Though there is the Razor core that uses the more ubiquitous USB-C and has more flexibility, but Alien Ware's proprietary connector has more bandwidth -desktop graphics card I like the more toned down, and "professional" aesthetics of both the new Alienware R series and Razer laptops...I will need to look at using some 'Dbrand'ing to cover those icons.
John Holmes ok, so you're not a complete idiot. just a partial one. read my initial comment and point out where I said "Dell has 17 inch OLED panels now and we should be getting those in a laptop NOW".
Hey can you verify that (1. Height: 0.92 inch (23.3mm) | 2. Width: 15.35 inches (390mm) | 3. Depth: 10.20 inches (259mm) those are the dimensions of this laptop? That is what Alienware lists on this laptop but it would make it wider than my 15.3 inch laptop if this is the case.
The specs I have, documented by Alienware are 13.0 x 10.6 x .87 inches (W x D x H) Read more at hothardware.com/reviews/alienware-13-r3-review-oled-and-geforce-10 The dimensions you list here do seem to be for the 15-inch variant. Hope this helps.
How bad is the glare on the OLED panel? I read it gets bright enough at 400 nits but i really dislike reflections so i am not sure if i will prefer 1080p anti-glare or 1440p glare.
If you're really sensitive to glossy panels, honestly, you'll probably have an issue with it. Personally, for me it's no big deal and yes, it's very bright. The OLED contrast and saturation more than make up for it.
Mostly reffered to as "response time" on displays yes. Copied from wikipedia: "Response time is the amount of time a pixel in a display takes to change. It is measured in milliseconds (ms). Lower numbers mean faster transitions and therefore fewer visible image artifacts. Older monitors with long response times would create display motion blur around moving objects, making them unacceptable for rapidly moving images. Response times are usually measured from grey-to-grey transitions, but there is no industry standard."
Not at all. Scaling at 1080p is very good with this display. Great question by the way. Dropping down to 720p definitely brings in some grain but 1080 is just fine. That said, 1440p gaming (native res) is totally achievable with the config we tested (GTX 1060).
What kind of difference should I notice between a regular ips and oled? specially in 4K? I'm planning to order this but I'm just hoping OLED screen would reduce the chance of me getting a backlight bleed.. or do I still have to roll the dice and cross my fingers hoping I won't have to get one
Prime 95 and Furmark present unrealistic usage across the board. I do not recommend stress testing with those. Try Heaven Benchmark and 3DMark for more 'real life' results.
That would be incorrect, technically, though I'm not sure what fadoobaba is asking here. If you're speaking about a Razer "Core" graphics box, yes, it has a Thunderbolt port and though you'd need the necessary drivers etc, technically it should be able to be done. However, you also used the word "amplifier" and a purpose built solution from Alienware is already available for that. This machine also has an Alienware AMP port for an external graphics AMP box from Alienware, where you can install any number of graphics cards externally to drive with the machine out to a gaming monitor or what have you.
I just grabbed an Alienware 15 R3 with specs so I can Develop for VR, I waited until Apples announcement but unfortunately their MacBook Pro isn't really much "Pro" which makes me sad as I much prefer the macOS compared to Windows. I'm keeping my old Mid 2012 MacBook Pro so I can have safe email & web browsing and dedicate the Alienware purely for VR dev with my HTC Vive headset. So Apple is GREAT if it meets your requirements, now I just need to work out how to Hackingtosh this Alienware.
I wish. That's definitely a feature add it needs. I'm sure the panel could support it but it would need the extra G-Sync controller and associated electronics in there too.
toocoolforu I actually done some chitchat with the dell support via their website and even she couldn't confirm if it's a g-sync or it a 120hz or 60hz ...it's just unbelievable, !?
HotHardware thanks, im a college student do you think this is something where i can get work done as well as video editing/streaming and all that good stuff?
yeah np. as for it being worth it, the base model comes with a 1366x768p screen and an i5 quad core, 8gigs ram, but still the gtx1060. It could be worth it if u dont mind the low screen, but it will definitely be able to game 60fps+ at that resolution. it should even have decent battery life for a gaming laptop. The only upgrade i'd do is to put another 8gb stick to make it 16gb if i didnt want to spend more for the 1080p/i7 model.
Buy it through Alienware, if you talk to a rep on the site they will probably be willing to reduce the price or throw in extra support for free! I had a pretty fantastic experience when buying my M14x R2
HotHardware Sweet. Was so close to buying it earlier today - but think I'll wait a few weeks to see if any extra promos pop up. Originally wanted a 15/17", but I know how nice OLED looks so I'm leaning towards this one.
Seriously, if you can swing, the OLED panel is well worth it. You'll be starring at it in admiration for weeks as you get used to it and then when you are used to living with it, other panels will look drab.
Ya, I'm like 85% sure at this point I'll just go with the smaller display. Do you know the make of RAM/SSD it has? I was told by Dell that it's all OEM which strikes me as odd.
I cant find anyone benchmarking/games and testing out the real mainstream version with the i5 6300HQ yeah the processor is a i5 quadcore! even if its only 4 threads its still a quad. every review i see the i7. i think more people are gonna buy the i5 1200$ version.
Mikhail Tagallie seen a review with the Alienware 15 with an i5 and the 1060 and apparently the i5 was holding back the gpu in performance. Can't remember where I saw this but was on yt somewhere. Had way worse frame rates than the i7 during gaming even on rather less demanding games like overwatch. I'd go with the i7 anytime just to be sure as you're always stuck with what you're getting in a laptop.
***** thats not true. many laptops in the gaming category have been using mxm slots for videocards(a decade now) and cpus pop in and out like normal motherboards. Where did you see the review?
I'd have to see the Razer in the flesh first. My hunch is, battery life on the AW 13 would be better, but the Razer is thinner and lighter - so trade-offs. And unless it comes with OLED (don't think so), nothing beats an OLED display once you've seen it side by side to a standard panel.
I like most things about the razer blade more, but the display has an very low contrast sadly... I think 380:1 . the resolution is high with its 3200x1800 display but one of the most important things for me is the contrast and it should be >800 in my opinion
I actually got to sit down with the 15 inch version of this and the cooling unit on the back is incredible. zero heat on the keyboard and no louder than desktop gpus at full throttle. I think it actually looks great and is a fantastic design
Triple259772 you found a razer blade for less? plz send me the link! btw, you can get this very model for just 1000$ (the i5 cpu), probably for much less on black friday or cyber monday.
Igor Špiganovič no, I was looking at the blade that cost $1800, the one with the 1060. And yeah I know there's a lower end model, I'm not really that interested in it. I did a bit more research, I found that the gl502vs has a 1070 and it cost $1800 as well.
This is better than MacBook Pro 2016
If you don't care about being the absolute thinnest and lightest, yes, it definitely is. ;)
It is, no one is going to fight over it. Put that popcorn down.
nice bait, but it wont work. if you want to waste your money on a computer "for adults" i wont stop you.
compare those specs to the alienware's. its relatively fat and heavy, but it has fast storage, and you can expand with a bigger, or second, PCI-E drive if needed. it can support up to 32 gigs of DDR4 memory, also self upgradable, high quality speakers, a 100% adobe sRGB OLED 1440p display, loads of ports (including two USB type C), tons of performance under the hood (heck it rivals my desktop in performance), and can use any software for video editing you ever need, from movie maker to adobe premiere pro.
im not saying the macbook pro is a bad machine, it looks all around decent. its just far overpriced and offers too little for the money, especially when there are other machines, for the same money, that cater to professional users much better than the new macbook "pro".
seriously, a dual core i5, with integrated iris graphics, 8 gigs of ram, and a 256gb drive for $1500? that's not pro at all.
well the alienware laptop is cheaper and is made for gaming. (that means it's worth the money)
The cheapest option with OLED is 1799. Check your facts.
I would like the 15 inch with OLED.
Nah, I would like 17 inch
I swear I just had pants on a minute ago....
toastsenorgato o ok
hahahahaha xD
Camera is doing all the justice, I am watching it on galaxy S6 amoled, I can see it perfectly.
cool!
Looks like I've found my next laptop. Was gonna buy a MacBook Pro but we all saw what happened over there. For that price? No ty.
You can just dualboot with windows and mac osx too
Take the alienware, for the price he's 500x better than a Macbook
-xSQUALLY with 500x less battery life. gaming laptops and macbook/xps 13/zenbook arent even in the same categories
true... sadly as an alienware 15 R2 owner it is true... 5 ish hours i think.
Rusty Nugget cant you turn off the Gpu to save a lot of power?
I have this Machine and it's Awesome...my only complaint is that it only has two usb ports. The OLED display is 🔥
It also has two USB-C ports (one is Thunderbolt) which you can use with a dongle
best innovation of 2016 in computer world
Hello. Thank you for the review. I wanted to ask is the OLED going to have any screen retention or burn in problems?
I've asked Alienware this question in the past and the answer is essentially "no." Technically OLED does have a higher risk of burn-in than IPS but it's no so high that Alienware won't warranty the product, which they do, fully of course.
Can you make a video on gaming/heat benchmarks on this? I'm really considering this laptop this holiday
razer blade with this display, the bezels of an xps 15 and the ports of the msi gt72s would be nearly perfect imo
Dell really stepping up their game. Nice build quality with very strong performance and that OLED display - thats something.
Could be 30% shorter in width. That bottom bezel is useless and so is the back hinge.
1000bassnut , And why did they not turn it into an actually useful surface by extending the display? For the end user it's useless.
so u think they're gonna go back to 16:10 aspect ratio panels just to fill in space?
eViL jEsuS they shoild, 16:10 is superior to 16:9
eViL jEsuS, Honestly they could. Or they could just make bezels smaller. It's a 15" screen in a 17" body. No bueno.
Wanna hear a joke?
Apple Macbook 2016
Wanna hear another joke?
2 ports
Carl CIFER
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
wanna hear another joke? Macbook's Price (£3000)
The fan and heat pipings is directly below the keyboard just like other gaming laptop. i wonder if that hinge forward design is necessary. it makes the laptop square-ish.
There's a good chunk of the cooling subsystem in that bump-out on the back, actually.
There are benchmarks out of new alienwares.
Hinge forward design is actually very effective it's around 5-7c lower than other laptops..
can I just point out that this isn't a r13 but a r14 I know it's hard to find any info online but when you look at the system information it's called the alienware 13,15 and 17 r4
I have a alienware 17 r4
How would you rate the long term reliability of alienware gaming laptops? In terms of future components issues.
Thanks for a quick response! Sounds great :)
This is the first gaming laptop that really impresses me.
How is the color accuracy of the screen out of the box? I know OLED can be cartoony in color saturation when not properly calibrated, but manufacturers should be able to calibrate it accurately. I wonder if it is done here, or if I have to calibrate it.

Cool. Thanks for the reply!
when i clicked the video the time on the laptop is the same as my time. pretty odd.
Machine elves bro machine elves

Nice review. Thank you. Very helpful.
how does 1080p look in that screen since its higher res? Figure non native resolution makes games look worse.
Strange question...My old laptop had an issue with being used on the charger and it didnt help the battery at all (stupid on my part). i waited for an Alienware 17 with oled and GTX1080... why do they only giving an oled Option for the 13inch modell??? thats so sad
Is this not worth if you dont get the OLED version and would be better to just go with with the AW15?
Is oled panel for a laptop is a good idea??? I mean image retention is one thing - lg for example has repairing mechanics in their tvs when they powered off - i dont think this one has - and a laptop has soooo much stationary images.
But lifetime is worste then lcd panels! Even lgs wrgb panels (i dont think it has lg oled panel, and wrgb is patented) sooo down the line in a few years it will have image problems, isnt it???
Spec listing on Alienware 13 R3 says GTX 1060 OC, is that overclocked out of the box or just means it can be overclocked?
Is this screen better then the glossy igzo 4k screen on the razer blade pro?
Kensignton? I guess that use Noble...
How is the battery life compared to other laptops?
I am very torn between getting this or a Razer blade.
slightly leaning towards this because of the several factors.
-"13 I want a small device and fairly light weight device that has mobility and desktop cpu at least (the mobile cpu in the stealth will not do for VR and be a potential bottle neck in a few years)
-Has external graphics support- Though there is the Razor core that uses the more ubiquitous USB-C and has more flexibility, but Alien Ware's proprietary connector has more bandwidth
-desktop graphics card
I like the more toned down, and "professional" aesthetics of both the new Alienware R series and Razer laptops...I will need to look at using some 'Dbrand'ing to cover those icons.
cover the icons? if your not about flare I don't think alienwares your thing lmao. Thats like buying a designer pair of shoes then covering the logo
alienware also has a usb-c, a thunderbolt port and the dell amp. port
They really should build a 17" model with that panel. OLED, all glass front...that's my kind of laptop screen.
John Holmes instead of editing you should have just deleted your comment. Even you must realize how stupid it sounds.
John Holmes ...and there weren't any 13" ones before there were 13" ones. smh. You are so stupid, it's almost sad.
John Holmes ok, so you're not a complete idiot. just a partial one. read my initial comment and point out where I said "Dell has 17 inch OLED panels now and we should be getting those in a laptop NOW".
Please don't hose up this thread with flame wars. Thanks
John Holmes "can't" =/= "won't right now"
Good review I think i found my future laptop for a upcoming cross country trip. :)
really great review
Thanks! It was a quickie, preview but appreciate the kind words. :)
Christian Garces I also would like those dimensions confirmed
seems like no one is willing to confirm.
The specs I have, documented by Alienware are 13.0 x 10.6 x .87 inches (W x D x H)
Read more at hothardware.com/reviews/alienware-13-r3-review-oled-and-geforce-10
The dimensions you list here do seem to be for the 15-inch variant.
The OLED contrast and saturation more than make up for it.
according to dell the panel has an anti-glare coating
When Is this being released I can't find it
this guy invents words throughout the video :P or is "pixel response time" a thing? but nice review! i might get myself one of those lappies :)
Maxence Fulconis Sure is a thing. Google it :)
Marius Nilsen display response?
Mostly reffered to as "response time" on displays yes. Copied from wikipedia: "Response time is the amount of time a pixel in a display takes to change. It is measured in milliseconds (ms). Lower numbers mean faster transitions and therefore fewer visible image artifacts. Older monitors with long response times would create display motion blur around moving objects, making them unacceptable for rapidly moving images. Response times are usually measured from grey-to-grey transitions, but there is no industry standard."
can I rip the oled monitor out of it and use it alone with my desktop as a monitor?
is it blurry if u play games at 1080p on a 1440p display
Not at all. Scaling at 1080p is very good with this display. Great question by the way. Dropping down to 720p definitely brings in some grain but 1080 is just fine. That said, 1440p gaming (native res) is totally achievable with the config we tested (GTX 1060).
I do it with my razer blade with the gtx 1060. I don't notice at all.
Jamsy .billy LOL razer doesnt have a laptop with gtx 1060 lol
Robbe Van Santvliet it does have a 1060, what the heck are you talking about
What kind of difference should I notice between a regular ips and oled? specially in 4K? I'm planning to order this but I'm just hoping OLED screen would reduce the chance of me getting a backlight bleed.. or do I still have to roll the dice and cross my fingers hoping I won't have to get one
nevermind it answered my question. But I hope it would reduce my risk of getting a backlight bleed out of the box
from what i heard each pixel is individually illuminated. so black is black and back light doesn't exist. i could be wrong...
can u do a stress test on this laptop? i want to know the temperature under both prime 95 and furmark.
Sure, will take a look.
Prime 95 and Furmark present unrealistic usage across the board. I do not recommend stress testing with those. Try Heaven Benchmark and 3DMark for more 'real life' results.
Can you open the lid with one hand?
If you know how to do it, yes. :)
Update! We've got an Alienware 13 R3 components servicing how-to of sorts here! ua-cam.com/video/kZoUcQzfQAs/v-deo.html (just posted)
Your hands are almost the size of that lap top.
You know what they say, big hands, big... mittens.
So you are use to touching 13 inch objects then?
i am used to touching u
Did I hear it right this monitor has 1ms response time???
Yep! With better colors than ips! Lol
+Rock GamingTV seriously? how can a 60hz monitor gets a 1ms response rate? lol
Yes, it's an OLED display and pixel response times are that fast with OLED.
He is correct. OLED displays are in a whole different league and excellent for gaming.
I don't know if it is 60hz lol oled also have high refresh rate so maby it's a 120hz? Very possible..
can we connect core and amplifier both for 3 graphic cards?
fadoobaba no
That would be incorrect, technically, though I'm not sure what fadoobaba is asking here. If you're speaking about a Razer "Core" graphics box, yes, it has a Thunderbolt port and though you'd need the necessary drivers etc, technically it should be able to be done. This machine also has an Alienware AMP port for an external graphics AMP box from Alienware, where you can install any number of graphics cards externally to drive with the machine out to a gaming monitor or what have you.
HotHardware I know but he was asking if core and the amp can be run simultaneously
Ahhh... my bad. Correct, that's doubtful.
that's what I was asking, deep down I knew what the answer would have been.
what about heating issues in this laptop?
Can it really run VR games well ? I heard that the Nvidia 1060 is not really VR compatible
Paul Bronstein the gtx 970 is the minimum for VR, the 1060 has an edge over the 980 I believe so it should be good
Paul Bronstein it actually is VR compatible. don't know where u heard this.
its branded specifically for VR
I just grabbed an Alienware 15 R3 with specs so I can Develop for VR, I waited until Apples announcement but unfortunately their MacBook Pro isn't really much "Pro" which makes me sad as I much prefer the macOS compared to Windows. 60Hz
HotHardware with g sync ??
I wish. That's definitely a feature add it needs. I'm sure the panel could support it but it would need the extra G-Sync controller and associated electronics in there too.
HotHardware Some people wrongly state 144Hz in forums. Thanks for clarifying!
toocoolforu I actually done some chitchat with the dell support via their website and even she couldn't confirm if it's a g-sync or it a 120hz or 60hz ...it's just unbelievable, !?
is anything user upgradeable on this?
Preet Gurung link below for the teardown. :)
Is it worth it? Is the gaming solid? Just a quick question
209 Cali I feel it is, yes and the gaming is very solid.
HotHardware thanks, im a college student do you think this is something where i can get work done as well as video editing/streaming and all that good stuff?
209 Cali yes I would say so
HotHardware sorry last question i promise... Whats the difference with the r3 and r4 wich one is better or do u recommend?
209 Cali I believe R4 has 7th gen kaby Lake on board for the cpu the and would probably be the best version to get
Those bezels...
is it available ? i cant find it
Pierre Stromae not yet
Pierre Stromae i mean on amazon it is not yet
Do you know what the refresh frequency for the oled screen?
It's a 60Hz, 1ms panel.
can someone tell me when will this come out and is the 1199$ model worth it?
i dont know i cant find it on amazon!
u have to buy it from the main alienware site. i dont think alienware is sold by 3rd parties online, atleast i havent seen them enough to say they do
oh ok thanks for the information.
yeah np. as for it being worth it, the base model comes with a 1366x768p screen and an i5 quad core, 8gigs ram, but still the gtx1060.
I had a pretty fantastic experience when buying my M14x R2
i want to buy this but it is too expensive O_O
jp zodlav still better than a MacBook 😂😂
of course lol, i will only accept macbook if it's a gift
IKR?
same haha
i fckn dont get why they have rgd touchpad like wtf , the rgb was just too over the top it made it look like it was made for 10yr old squeekers
I wouldn't change my dell xps 15 screen for no screen in the world
How much battery life does it get?
Working on those numbers next, actually... stay tuned. I'll update this thread with our full review link when live.
I have to open it up but the SSD is a Toshiba NVMe stick. They typically use solid components.
Razer Blade 1060 or Alienware 13 1060?
In my opinion alienware 13. For many reasons but the main one will be cooling
I'd have to see the Razer in the flesh first. My hunch is, battery life on the AW 13 would be better, but the Razer is thinner and lighter - so trade-offs. And unless it comes with OLED (don't think so), nothing beats an OLED display once you've seen it side by side to a standard panel.
i always think why do you even need a laptop thinner than AW13 lol it's already very portable..
I like most things about the razer blade more, but the display has an very low contrast sadly...
I think 380:1 .
the resolution is high with its 3200x1800 display but one of the most important things for me is the contrast and it should be >800 in my opinion
good job alienwear
JooJoo Flop *alienware
these giant bezels in 2016
if its that important to u get the xps with practically no bezel but say goodbye to gtx 1060 and hello to integrated..
WTF, OLED? I wouldve thought other manufacturers would use oled first... like samsung, or lg....
More like a 15 inch laptop with the protrusion coming out the back.
I actually got to sit down with the 15 inch version of this and the cooling unit on the back is incredible. zero heat on the keyboard and no louder than desktop gpus at full throttle. I think it actually looks great and is a fantastic design

Anyone that owns this care to comment on screen burn in? Is it an issue with this display?
allienware have very good laptops but tey are so expensive
I hate the tacky lit trackpad.
you can turn it off.
OLED has bad burn-in issues. Not good for a PC.
$1800? I'll just go with the razer blade or Asus gl502vm.
