      Phil haters like to say he's weak. He was under 5 9 at 250 plus in some of the best competition shape ever. Incredibly physique. Obviously with that kind of muscle he's going to have a lot of strength too, and he is a strong guy. Some guys genetically have a ton of muscle, but there muscle can't produce nearly the force you would expect. Phil is actually strong.

      @@billj4525 Phil heath is very strong lol. In his prime he could easily press 160lbs dumbbell for 20 reps. The thing is, all these top bodybuilders with all that mass and gear are very strong.

    The craziest part about these weights and numbers is tge fact he's doing them 8 weeks out in a low body fat/ carb depleted state.

    • @billj4525
      @billj4525 5 місяців тому

      That's true, but a lot of these bodybuilders time these things really well. Quite a few of them are stronger 8 weeks out. Jay Cutler and Phil have both talked about being at their strongest 6 weeks out from a show. Stronger than their off season, and that holds true if you watch their off season workouts and compare them. Now 1 and 2 weeks out, not a chance. Still very impressive that they're able to peak with their strength like that when dieting.

      @@yousefkhoroh8051 nice I was wrestler and I’m martial artist so gaining size was never really my main goal vs strength and endurance and not sacrificing speed, but for me doing more of a “power building” approach put size on me quick without even going for size. I’ve just tried different things to see results, but I don’t really do much of this style of training too often because too hard to recover from when you do chest or back whatever but a full on leg day forget about training anything else just gonna get hurt
