I have a 98 as my first car and I would like to learn to work on cars and fix her up I really appreciate the videos you are very clear and to the point
@@anthonym5979 It may need to be replaced. They usually make noise when they're shot. I would remove it from the car by undoing the nut at the front and try spinning it manually. The OEM part number is 38942-P1R-000.
Yea I just bought the car and the AC belt was gone. The other 2 belts was really bad. Thanks alot your vids really helped me out and thanks for the feedback 👍
Yeah, it's a bit strange when searching for this belt. For all model years, except for 1997, 5PK950 is listed as the appropriate part number just about everywhere I look, including RockAuto and Amazon. Both Amazon and RockAuto list 5PK955 as the correct part number for the 1997 RL.
Thank you Car Apprentice. It's people like yourself that make this world a better place.
Appreciate the kind words. Glad the video was useful.
I was about to take my car to a mechanic but I think your video has given me enough info to replace it myself. Thanks!!
Nice! Glad the video was useful. 👊
Would this work on an Accura 1998 cl as well?
I don't know much about the CL, but my guess is that it's similar.

Mark my words, Your up next bro 😎

So u need to take off the alternator belt before u can put on the a/c belt?
Yes, the alternator belt has to be removed prior to removing the AC belt.
Should the idler pulley spin freely?
Yes, it should spin freely when the belt is not installed.
@@carapprentice what would cause it not to spin freely?
