Hey Matt good to see your back with the youtube vids they always make me smile which is not an easy thing to do as i am currently have alot of shit happen any way look forward to seeing more in the future great work keep it up bro!! btw East midlands to Alicante would be a nice on to see as i go to my holiday home on that route i checked and Jet 2 do fly this so it would be cool to watch.
This plane looks like such a joy to fly. I've been following the development of this plane for years and to see people flying it and enjoying it is fantastic. Wish I wasn't a poor college student and could afford the plane and the handbook as well.
Great to see you back in X-Plane Matt - looking forward to more of this series. I'll chuck in my vote for EXS207, EGNM to LELC (EXS208 for the return leg). Some reasonably nice free scenery there for X-Plane, and they do fly a 733 specifically on that route, IIRC. :) Scenery link: forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/23471-lelc-murcia-spain/
I haven't really sat down and watched a flight video of yours in a while, and I discovered why I love Flightsim again. Thank You so much for these videos, Maybe one day Ill meet you in the skies. :)
Alicante (LEAL) would be a good place to go next, especially as its approaching holiday season. (I think you already have the scenery, but hears and link anyway: forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/25479-leal-alicante-airport-spain-v2/)
I really like this idea Mr Davies, it's a very good idea to follow a certain company and route, return leg as well! Especially using the 737-300. Comair does still operate in SA by the way (once you exhaust your Jet2 routes)
Great Video Matt!!! Good to seeing you are making videos again, hope everything is better with you and keep doing what you are doing. Ohh and btw in the next episode how about a flight to ibiza?
Hey Matt, Could you please mirror one of the flights jet2.com does for skiers? They fly from Leeds(EGNM) to Salzburg(LOWS) I think this could be an exciting rout because of the alps. Thanks for your great work.
Leeds to Chambray it is a winter route for the Ski season but has great views and difficult visual approaches in the IXEG 737 should be a blast, cheers!
+Matt Davies - Great video and great work as always. Been a long time watcher and fan. Was wondering if you could do Jeddah to Heathrow please? Either Saudi Arabian Airlines B773 SV113 or British Airways B772/789 BA132 (They're introducing the 787-9 onto the route in place of the 772 which was re-introduced in place of the 763 a couple of years ago. Though it was originally served by the L1011 Tristar in the late 80's into the 90's being replaced by the 772 before the route was stopped for a time by BA in the 00's). Sorry got carried away!!! Anyway, thanks again for all the videos, looking forward to the next one.
The reason the orange speed bug on the ASI didn't change when you changed the V2 speed on the FMC is becuase it's not linked to the V2 speed, it's linked to the speed on the autopilot panel. Great vid btw and I look forward to the series

Hi Matt. Comair does still exist. They operate in and around South Africa. They fly 737's in the British Airways and Kulula liveries. Keep up the great work.
Aleluyah!!! Awesome! 😊 I just bought the IXEG last week, really enjoying it! But I didnt't get to be able to open the flight deck door in order to setup cameras from the cabin area. Do you know how to do that?
EGNM - GCRR (LBA-LZE). Beautiful flight. We have property there and our local airport is Leeds so make this trip a fair few times a year. Depending on conditions, some of the approaches take you over some fairly spectacular terrain. (4.5hrs flight time). Get back to me about catching up for that beer!
dont forget some jet2's 300s are QC and used as cargo flight during the night. i know there is one aircraft that goes Belfast to East midlands airport twice a night.
yes yes yes this is exactly what I've been looking for this is amazing I love jet2 btw can you do a flight to rues (LERS) in Spain the best possible thing to watch after no vids in a while
Leeds Bradford to Venice (Marco Polo). Just did that route over the bank holiday on one of their 737-300s. Approach has some nice views of the Venice islands!
Hi Matt. Brilliant video shows the IXEG as a suburb model. How did you get into the cabin to view the wings. I understood that the cabin has no yet been modeled. Tried to open the cabin door and walk through walls but as yet not attained the pilot ranking of 'god mode'. Cheers keep up the the professional work you do. Mike EGGP
The orange bug will display the speed in the MCP not the FMS. So when you change V2 in the FMS you then rebug the new V2 speed in the MCP. Also it's good practice to set the DH bug to your acceleration altitude, something like 1500AGL works nicely.
Matt, could you go to Corfu (LGKR)? I was there last summer and watched two Jet2 737s and a 757 land one after another...plus, it's got interesting VOR approaches you could do, and is bloody beautiful to top it all off!
Can I just say your X-Plane looks amazing! If you were to make screenshots of certain parts (wingviews after your first take-off) with would have to look twice to see it is actually a simulator
Matt, Can you Fly to Pula please. That is from Leeds Bradford btw. I just checked the page. Pula is a lovely small airport and the Istrian Peninsula is a beautiful sunny part of Croatia.
Hey, Matt! Welcome back to flight simming! :) I really missed you, my friend. Anyways, I think it's a brilliant idea flying real world schedules of airlines. Anyways, on this whole idea of airline flying and Jet2.com specifically. Can you please do a flight from Leeds Bradford to Malta International Airport using the IXEG 737-300? Don't know if they fly that or the -800 series, but I hope the range is enough for that flight. PS: I don't know what exact number of flight they use for that flight, but I've seen that it is a 3 digit number for other flights to the UK, say to East Midlands or Manchester. Regards, Andrew.
Pushback is supposed to be automatic for now, the fact that you can move it with the tiller is in fact not intended, it goes for a standard distance either nose right or left or straight.
Hey matt, how do you get you x-plane 10 scenery to look really good. On your x-plane everything looks really slick and detailed especially the planes whereas on my x-plane 10 i cant even get my plane to look as detailed as yours. How do you do it, what do you have to download?
Matt that was the best video you have ever done, really really enjoyed that. I flew out of Leeds to Venice in 2011, lovely approach into there. PS - Are you using any mesh enhancements or texture enhancements? Also are you using RWC and SkyMaxx Pro V3? (landing lights reflecting in clouds is awesome).
When you got the time would you make a trip from Copenhagen to Antalya? Would love to see that ;) Keep up your great work I really love to watch your videos. Saw your video from Copenhagen to Heathrow yesterday when you saw that "Clown" plane, it was so fun, especially when I am from Denmark and know the airline, such a great video
What plane simulator do you recommend for a beginner (me.) I want to start getting into them as I love watching them. Also is it complicated to learn all of the commands and how to start the plane off.
Yes please do more Southwest that would be great. I like this new idea! Could you do both X-Plane and FSX/P3D? That way we could get a balance of the old 733 by IXEG and the new with the 737 NGX by PMDG, as well as a healthy dose of both sims. :)
Do LBA (Leeds) to RHO (Rhodes) The greek islands are a really popular european holiday destination and the scenery there is outstanding! Or maybe try LBA - ALC (Alicante/Benidorm) another popular destination! Thanks
Matt, do Leeds to Prestwick, but make sure you are online say Vatsim, just so you can also show how well x-plane does it's model matching and integrating real vatsim traffic LOL
Great video @Matt Davies. Always good videos from you. A couple of things. And im not trying to be the smartguy that knows everything. I dont. But im pretty sure that its not recommended or best practice to arm the A/T before entering the runway, for safety reasons. You did set the "PLAN" fuel. That is only used for planning V-speeds when the aircraft is still refueling. You should delete the PLAN fuel at some point. Because the GW will be ZFW + PLAN fuel and not ZFW + actual fuel. So the vref landingspeed will be wrong if you dont delete it :)
For very short flight the PLAN fuel wont make any big difference. But lets say you burn 5000kg of fuel, then the VREF speed will be very wrong :) with PLAN fuel entered the VREF will be based on ZFW + PLAN fuel and not ZFW + actual remaining fuel. :)
I think Jet2 do a flight from Manchester to Barcelona because I booked with Jet2 but ended up flying on a different aircraft because the pitot tubes were blocked or something.
Might be pushing my luck a bit here but... Leeds to Naples, Jet2 don't do it. Yet. But in April 2017 they are starting it with a B733. Link: www.routesonline.com/news/38/airlineroute/267215/jet2com-plans-new-routes-in-s17/
Nice video Matt. Two questions/suggestions. Don't mean to be a backseat captain, so if I'm wrong I'm ready to stand corrected. 1. Isn't the v2 bug on the analog speedometer connected to the MCP speed bug instead of the v2 entered in the CDU? 2. I always thought that you could arm the autothrottle while at the gate with the NG and not with the classic in stead of the other way around. I actually had the IXEG go all Blackbox on me for arming the autothrottle before entering the runway. Anyway, enjoyable video and looking forward to more videos in these series.
Leeds to Heraklion (LGIR)
Very nice views on approach
Jet 2 also fly there
And a very fun landing even as a passenger
Yup, you get a great view of the coast if you sit on the left of the plane. (Assuming you land on runway 27)
+FMS and a great view of the seat Infront when the pilot realises that autobrake 3 or full just isn't enough
YESS!!! I agree. Leeds to Heraklion.
***** Oh, that's a shame, To be honest i just assumed the they did as I've flown from airports near and around Leeds to Heraklion with jet 2 before.
Glad to see you back making the best flight sim videos on UA-cam!
Really good to see you back in X-Plane Matt
To make it summer go to Palma de Mallorca (LEPA) should be fun.
Great to see you back in X-plane Matt ;-)
This plane looks like such a joy to fly. I've been following the development of this plane for years and to see people flying it and enjoying it is fantastic. Wish I wasn't a poor college student and could afford the plane and the handbook as well.

From Leeds (EGNM) to Venice (LIPZ). There are coast and some mountains near Venice.
Alicante (LEAL) would be a good place to go next, especially as its approaching holiday season.
(I think you already have the scenery, but hears and link anyway: forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/25479-leal-alicante-airport-spain-v2/)
Great to have you back Matt!
Good to see another video Matt. Hope things are going well, keep the chin up :)!
I think this is the best series you've ever done and I haven't even watched any of it yet! :)
Also maybe Leeds to Mallorca?
forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/20444-lepa-and-island-of-mallorca/
Mallorca is one of my favourite freeware scenery packs for X-Plane so I'll second that!
I love how Matt just went comanche on the arrival plan on the fmc, you've shown some good skill there mate. lol
Awesome video, Matt! Just missed some replays! X-Plane can handle it! :D
I really like this idea Mr Davies, it's a very good idea to follow a certain company and route, return leg as well! Especially using the 737-300. Comair does still operate in SA by the way (once you exhaust your Jet2 routes)
Finally, X-PLANE! Well done Matt.
Great Video Matt!!! Good to seeing you are making videos again, hope everything is better with you and keep doing what you are doing. Ohh and btw in the next episode how about a flight to ibiza?
He's already done one mate :)
+TehGingerGuy in a 737?
Nah, A319
Hey Matt,
Could you please mirror one of the flights jet2.com does for skiers? They fly from Leeds(EGNM) to Salzburg(LOWS)
I think this could be an exciting rout because of the alps.
Thanks for your great work.
And here is the Link to the LOWS scenery. www.x-plane.at/drupal/LOWS
Yea... This would be a cool flight.
Lol pun not intended XD...or was it??
Leeds to Chambray it is a winter route for the Ski season but has great views and difficult visual approaches in the IXEG 737 should be a blast, cheers!
Nice to see you back at it Matt:)

Yes!!!!!!!!!!
Agreed

This is going to be such a good series, cannot wait!
At long last a Xplane video. Thank you!!
Hi Matt.
Comair does still exist. They operate in and around South Africa. They fly 737's in the British Airways and Kulula liveries.
Keep up the great work.
Good to see you back matt
What a powerfull come back to X-Plane 10! I really missed your videos on this platform, hope you will do a lot in the coming days! Fantastic flight!

Birmingham to Kefalonia? going for real on sat....brilliant vids Matt.
Comair still runs in SA, their home base is OR Tambo (I think) and they use the BA livery. They also operate as Kulula as a budget airline
Hey Matt, I just want to say taht that was a great scenery and I hope you create morel like thsi!
Maybe Fuerteventura would be nice from Leeds as they use the 733 quite a bit on that route. I have seen it many times

It would be great if you could fly to LEMG (Malaga). It is a regular flight with Jet2 from Leeds.
Hey Matt great vid. Any new updates on add-ons you have for xplane current? Thanks
Great video Matt! Hope everything is going well!

HOW IS THAT JEDDAH GUY NOT HERE IN THE COMMENTS??! This is like his golden opportunity
Düsseldorf, Amsterdam Schiphol and Paris CDG are the main Jet2 routes which are mainly operated by a Boeing 737-300
matt hope you can continue what you are doing you are great
Best video you've had for ages!
Pushback is supposed to be automatic for now, the fact that you can move it with the tiller is in fact not intended, it goes for a standard distance either nose right or left or straight.
Great idea, look forward to seeing the rest. Cheers
Nice to see this plane in action!
A trip up to Edinburgh would be good, always see loads of jet 2 aircraft there!
I think Alicante will be a great flight to do from Leeds as it is a real world flight with the Jet2 737-300.
please fly to jersey EGJJ if possible thanks
I second the Leeds to Jersey route. EXS175
Yeah jersey would be a great place to fly to mate!
that'd be nice
Hi Matt, I was waiting so long for an Istanbul flight. Can you make one ?
Leeds to Corfu would be fun. Interesting approach as well!
The orange speed bug is based on the whatever the MCP speed is set too. So changing that will set the V2 speed.
Could do an afternoon flight from NCL - MJV - NCL. The return would take advantage of the night lighting :)
Hey Matt, please fly to Split in Croatia! Some great scenery there.
Here is some scenery: forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/22127-ldsp-split-airport-croatia-v11/
Matt, i think you forgot to put the checklist link in the description:)
I know EasyJet do Liverpool - Geneva - Liverpool - Tenerife - Liverpool most days. Something like that would be epic
Leeds - Ibiza/Greece would be cool, too
Hey matt, how do you get you x-plane 10 scenery to look really good. On your x-plane everything looks really slick and detailed especially the planes whereas on my x-plane 10 i cant even get my plane to look as detailed as yours. How do you do it, what do you have to download?

I love this video so much because I did this exact flight in a real 737-800 sim with a real pilot for jet 2
plus welcome back matt i missed your vedios
Those clouds and wing views!!! :)
Would love to see a Southwest 737-300 route! I rarely see people actually fly those routes and I would love to see one
***** And Southwest was the launch customer, and operates the most, without the modern flight deck! I mean, this is a golden opportunity!
Hi Matt. Can you maybe do a flight to Alicante? I know that, that is defiantly a route as I flew it earlier this year with jet2 from Leeds. Thanks
Matt could u plz do a flight from Leeds to Berlin? :)
Manchester to Alicante! fab approach and jet 2 flys there
When you got the time would you make a trip from Copenhagen to Antalya? Would love to see that ;)
Keep up your great work I really love to watch your videos. Saw your video from Copenhagen to Heathrow yesterday when you saw that "Clown" plane, it was so fun, especially when I am from Denmark and know the airline, such a great video
OMG I suggested that u fly to Leeds 😅
I'm so glad u did it thx ever so much
Great Video Matt nice to see you landing at my local airport! Which cloud package are you using btw? they look amazing
From 51:38 it really does look amazing. Thanks for the video
Great flight and i was wondering if you could do manchester to majorca
By the way at LBA the 733s very rarely use taxiway E they usually just do a 180 on the runway
Maybe try flying to Dalaman, great scenery, nice airport. Roughly 4h 30 mins.
Great video, Is photo scenery being used in-between the airports?
Matt, a good route to fly of Jet2 is Leeds to Alicante!
Two beautiful landings!
pls start uploading more often because ur videos r awsome and i have been missimg ur content
What plane simulator do you recommend for a beginner (me.) I want to start getting into them as I love watching them. Also is it complicated to learn all of the commands and how to start the plane off.
Hey matt, could you do a video on the equiptment/controls you use to fly with?tah!
hi matt you could fly from Manchester to Venice and back Venice has a beautiful approach if it is over the city
I love the A380 just parked next door 😂
Yes please do more Southwest that would be great. I like this new idea! Could you do both X-Plane and FSX/P3D? That way we could get a balance of the old 733 by IXEG and the new with the 737 NGX by PMDG, as well as a healthy dose of both sims. :)
Do LBA (Leeds) to RHO (Rhodes)
The greek islands are a really popular european holiday destination and the scenery there is outstanding!
How about Leeds to Madeira (Funchal)? A great approach into the airport,,,,
Very nice job Matt! Which clouds and clouds shader you are using? they look good.
Great video @Matt Davies. Always good videos from you.
A couple of things. And im not trying to be the smartguy that knows everything. I dont.
But im pretty sure that its not recommended or best practice to arm the A/T before entering the runway, for safety reasons.

This is a great idea, I was going to do it last summer with a small airline like Cityjet (smallish)! Never got round to it though :(
I think Jet2 do a flight from Manchester to Barcelona because I booked with Jet2 but ended up flying on a different aircraft because the pitot tubes were blocked or something.
+Matt Davies OK sorry. I'll take it back.
