Really enjoyed this.I loved the way you combined a full flight with some cinematic shots, and cut out everything I normally skip with full flight videos. I think it's a testament that during a 52 minute video I didn't even contemplate skipping as everything felt so needed. Can't wait for more like this.
***** I understand how hard it can be to make interesting shots with a limited shot selection. In the end of the day an aircraft is just an aircraft,I really think P3D adds so much to the immersion factor with these long flight videos. It's a just a shame I can't afford to transition over to P3D for making my films. The final nail in the coffin for me is FS recorder will never be supported in P3D V2 and FSX SE but if that wasn't the case I would have changed over to P3D along time ago.
Great video man! Not gonna lie though, the cars running across the runway made me laugh so hard! Love the comedy mixed with the genuine knowledge and love of aviation. Best sim channel I've ever watched! Thanks for the great videos and the chuckle also!
Matt, Your videos are actually WORTH my time watching, I enjoyed every second of it.The quality of your videos is unparalleled to any other flight-sim channel on UA-cam. Keep up the great work. :)
One of the best FSX videos ive seen in my life! The way you explain things when you are flying and the way you do your things is just amazing Matt! I'm learing so many things of your FSX videos that i am becoming a better pilot to, if only i had such a great pc like you. Cheers mate from Amsterdam! R.
well matt another great video........its taken me about 3 weeks but I have now watched every video you've done. Fantastic work and you are a credit to the flightsim community. Keep it up.
This is absolutely stunning! Your vids were already good before, but they're still getting better. The way you cut and edit them is almost perfect! Keep up the amazing work! :D
That was a really well done video. I agree with the other commenter....I never felt the need to skip through anything. The cut scenes allowed some nice views of the exterior of the aircraft being flown. One of the best "long flight" videos I've seen. I look forward to more like this.
Wow. You have really outdone yourself this time Matt! This is a brilliant video, beautiful editing (Love the cinematic views!), amazing aircraft, scenery, airline! Absolutely love it! Keep up the good work!
One of your best, Matt! Love the guy dancing at the end! The 777 is one of my favorite aircraft, the other being the A319/320. I'd love to see you do a flight from Dubai to Delhi in the 777 or the A380!
First impression - Wow Matt you have put a lot of effort into making it look good 10/10 very professional and fantastic, I don't mind the wait cos everything is done correctly.
Nice video. Just a few pointers if you want to short cut your arrival into DXB. On the D7C arrival, plan GIRGO at around 5000'. ATC will have already cleared you to 3000' if they are going to shortcut you, they will give you around GIRGO(+/- 2m) right turn heading 210, descend 2000' and right turn 270 cleared for the ILS. 180kts until 10, 160kts until 4 DME
already been said here, the traffic crossing the runway is the old position of the A45 coventry road, which now has a large horseshoe around the runway extension, which off course was done to accom the superliners.
+ Matt Davies Did You Know? Emirates is Upgrading Flight EK39/40 Between BHX and DXB to an A380 (2 class layout) and its first flight with the A380 will be on the 27/03/2016
Fantastic!!!!!!!!! Next few weeks i will be buying a very high spec desktop pc for fsx Seeing your video as made me even more excited to the day i fly the PMDG 777 on fsx settings on max. I love the add ons you have for sim. Thanks for sharing.
Great video Matt, apparently it was extended because "there was likely to be sufficient demand for long-range direct services operated by aircraft whose operations were constrained by the previous runway length. The previous runway length was short for an airport with Birmingham's passenger throughput and range of destinations. The old length limited aircraft to destinations on the east coast or in the midwest of North America, in the Gulf and Middle East, or on the South Asian subcontinent."
It was an absolute pleasure to watch that video. Quite interesting to see how the T7 performs on P3D as well. Was that your high density or the low density config you used? A perfect full flight video in my mind, keep up the good work Matt!
Just a tip: you don't have to wait for a door to close to arm it :) you can just double click the LSK and as soon as it is done closing, it will read "DISARM"
Lovely video as always Matt you are a tribute to the flight sim community and all that you have done for it. Prepared looks very nice, i am going to wait for windows 10 as my joystick keeps dropping in windows 8.1 with FSX so i don't want that to happen with p3d :( but great video Matt
I think (and I cannot be 100% on this), but the issue is with the UK2000 scenery having updated the airport (post 2013 I believe). When runway 33/15 was extended they had to push the A45 back quite a bit to accomodate it. Looks like P3D has the old A45, whilst UK2000 has the new A45, thus causing the traffic to slice through the airport xD Awesome video though!
don't ever tell yourself VERY NICE. Let others do it. The landing was rough believe it or not. You should have at least 2 to 3 seconds between call out 20 feet; and the nose came down too soon. In real life it would have been a rocky landing for sure. The approach on the other hand was nice and you seem to know your stuff. NICE WORK and thank for sharing this experience. I learned a lot
At 16:11 for the controls check. I think it would be better to wait with testing the rudder until you know that the guy that is just fiddeling with the nose gear pin is clear of the moving parts. There is probably a pedal disconnect for the 777 in the but to you really trust that to an extend that you would test the rudder pedals while a person is near the front wheel? And also the taxi light. It would be better to stick it on after the tow truck left the area in front of you. That way the guy in that truck is not blendet by the powerfull lights and can safely steer is vehicle back.
Matt, re the cars issue at EGBB. Move the EGBB V3 above all ORBC entries apart from ORBX LIbs. Then run the ORBX elevation tool. All will be good. I had the same issue. Darren
You normally pressurize the hydraulics before doing the Before Start Checklist. Ticking off a checklist item without having completed it is usually not done in real life :p. Nevertheless, great video as always.
not bad matt good video looks like the they forgot to move the road around the runway EK leaves from stand 56R and yes you did take the right route out to R33 EK don't have wing clearance from the main terminal BHX (EGBB) is my local airport i worked at BHX for 2 years as ground staff used to load the EK
the heat if you leave the plane in dubai is intense. But it only is as long as you don't fly towards Hanoi. Had 42° this summer. But I loved to fly Emirates' a380 EK127/28 and b777 EK394/95
Wow nice Matt, very slick looking video. P3-D is looking mighty fine nowadays, thinking of permanently moving over to P3-D myself as it's now starting to leave Fsx behind unfortunately. Don't mean to be rude but it's getting a little repetitive for me seeing so much of the Pmdg 777 and Aerosoft Airbus on everyone's streams lately. Is there any chance that you could think about doing a retro airliner series in P3-D as it has not been done before? Would really like to see you flying the aircraft more instead of us just watching the Fmc. Cheers G.
Is that the 777 for P3D new release or the FSX port over? As for FTX, you're running FTX Global Vector, try running the Vector Configurator airport elevation corrections. You should be doing this each time you install an airport... And the gates at Dubai are dynamic if you have AES (Including A380 dual level boarding)
yeah the landing looked pretty hard but it shouldn't have...your VSI didn't show much. The beauty of the 777 IRL is in the 6 wheels on each leg with the bottom four touching the runway first allowing the bird to settle rather than having to plant like in smaller jets with only 2 wheels on each
Great video Matt, really enjoyed watching it! Just a question though, those numbers at ~ 50:20 indicating how far to the left/right and how much you have left to go, are they a GSX, Prepar3d or FlyTampa thing? I have GSX and FlyTampa Dubai, but on FSX, and I don't get those numbers. Is it something else?
Hi Matt not sure if you know about a sim called Falcon BMS. It's really detailed (not to mention free), it's a F-16 based sim and it would be interesting to see different flying content from you, it's just a suggestion but think about it :D Keep up the good work !
Can you do Durban (FALE) to Dubai (OMDB) please. Or any from Durban NMG Simulations with the same plane you used for this video. 777-300ER. With EK775. Thanks
Hi Matt, really enjoyed watching your B777 on P3D. I was so impressed I purchased the game and the add-on. Unfortunately I am having trouble activating PMDG B777. Just wondering if you can help? Thanks, Justin
After a reasonable amount of research, my findings conclude that the runway was extended due to the phrase *"Bigger is better"*... That's what she said.
i live in Birmingham and I go plane spotting at the end of 33 in the car park they have an a380 departing at 3:00 I saw a full power takeoff #need earplugs!

You couldn't have said it any better ! I totally agree

Matt Davies What is the songs used?

I think it's fair to say ***** is the best flight sim youtuber going. This is one of his best videos yet. Keep it up!
Wow, great video! I really like the switch between commentary and cinematic shots.
One of your best, Matt! Love the guy dancing at the end! The 777 is one of my favorite aircraft, the other being the A319/320. I'd love to see you do a flight from Dubai to Delhi in the 777 or the A380!
This was really a superb video Matt. Your best produced yet, and you've done some great ones. Well done.

YOUR VIDEOS PUT A FREAKING TEAR TO MY EYE, INCREDIBLE MATT, SP PROUD OF YOU BUDDY
Matt, you made my day! Keep up the great work and do what you do best ;)
Awesome video! You managed to make it really smooth to watch, well done!

I love watching you do flight simulator, I always learn a lot. I really wish I had a computer that could handle P3D with all of these addons.
Stunning very cool thank you for making this episode
Great video Matt. Love the information bar showing flight info etc. Nice job.

Wow great flight, good departre and awsome arrival, one of your best videos indeed, keep up the awsome work..
Greetings from Brazil :)
Matt, watched almost all your vid's and love them. I wish you would do more with the 777. Really enjoyed this one. Thanks very much.

Another VERY NICE video Matt! Very nice music, too! :)
Great vid matt. I noticed the 1000th 777 livery. And the dancing gsx was just wierd lol. Sometimes I go to AVP at Manchester with my dad. Liked ;)
Usually I don't like night flights, but this is AWESOME!!! :D Thank You!

Bro. Amazing videos as always. You make it look flawless.
Great video Matt! Really enjoyed it :D
Awesome video mate! I totally enjoyed it!
Hey Matt just wanted to say i really enjoy your videos and there awesome love the way you set up the videos keep it up

Great video buddy. The part with the music was.. ehh... breathless

Maybe it sounds a lil bit weird, but I love that intro so much. Great job.
Matt, re the cars issue at EGBB. Move the EGBB V3 above all ORBC entries apart from ORBX LIbs. Then run the ORBX elevation tool. All will be good. I had the same issue. Darren
I think I laughed harder than I should have when I saw you entering the valley'd in taxi way with car jumping on top of the hill from the runway xD
Good stuff. Just as a heads up, all doors are disarmed on stand and 30% CRZ CG is now standard across the entire Emirates 777 fleet.
Felix Saddler Thanks. Any more tips on EK SOPs?.
MK45 Sure, Cost index 36 and fuel freeze temp of -40 unless polar westbound (-47).
I have been on Emirates and its cool I would recommend Emirates and arsenal come on gunners
So this is P3d with UK2000,i agree, that lighting is amazing!!
You normally pressurize the hydraulics before doing the Before Start Checklist. Ticking off a checklist item without having completed it is usually not done in real life :p.
Nevertheless, great video as always.
Great video as always Matt. S!
I am only a min and a half in but im really liking the new graphics with info about the flight =D
not bad matt good video looks like the they forgot to move the road around the runway EK leaves from stand 56R and yes you did take the right route out to R33 EK don't have wing clearance from the main terminal BHX (EGBB) is my local airport i worked at BHX for 2 years as ground staff used to load the EK
Hey Matt, the gate is not really static, you can use AES to let they work.
***** you can use AES and GSX togther
What is your cruising music?
loved it and the airport looks just like the real one
Just another of your amazing videos!
Awesome videos as usual ... Congrats !
Great flying. I enjoyed it a lot!
Curses Matt - I'm going to have to go and buy P3D now - another great flight Sir :)
Next flight, can we see some more pilotedge action?
Thank you for all your continued hard work Matt! Come em coming!
hi Matt I really enjoy your long haul flights amazing video!
Nice video Matt, I'm requesting u when u get the Airbus A380 to do a full Dubai to Auckland via Sydney flight EK412
John Doe There isn't even one with a FMC sadly
QANTAS 747 Ok fair enough...
the heat if you leave the plane in dubai is intense. But it only is as long as you don't fly towards Hanoi. Had 42° this summer. But I loved to fly Emirates' a380 EK127/28 and b777 EK394/95
Very well made Matt.
Could you possibly do a short video on showing us how you use your EzDok to pan around the cockpit?
Cheers, keep it up!
Superb video always liked your flying !!!!! :)
What is allowing the smooth movement around the cockpit? TrackIR? Ezdok?
He has both :)
Wow nice Matt, very slick looking video. P3-D is looking mighty fine nowadays, thinking of permanently moving over to P3-D myself as it's now starting to leave Fsx behind unfortunately. Great video! Hope to see more EK flights!!
I work Airside there @ BHX Matt. The runway was finished a while back.
beautiful approach and landing mate
i thought he finally did the bloody JEDDAH FLIGHT
ROFL
Very nice video, Matt!
Really Enjoyed This Video !! Great Video ......That dance tho at the end Hahaha ....
Hey Matt, excellent video as always. I just have a quick question, did you use your high density or low density config for this flight?

Hey Matt, great video, watched it when it was released. Just bought FTX global and wanted to know what light settings you had as they look amazing! :)
Again looks epic!!
Nice video Matt! Your next flight should be in Australia. Maybe YMML-YBCG or YBBN YBHM?
Can you do Durban (FALE) to Dubai (OMDB) please. Or any from Durban NMG Simulations with the same plane you used for this video. 777-300ER. With EK775. Thanks
F19 is the exact same gate my a380 was parked on, while going to Mumbai, 1 week ago!!! To passengers, that gate is known as B15.
I seen this plane at Glasgow a while ago, you should do a flight from Glasgow I'd definitely watch it!
Hey Matt, sorry to bother you, I'd like to know how you reproduce the turbulence effects with Ezdok, it's quite awesome.
Great vid, thank you so much
textures are GORGEOUS in p3d. I want an upgrade!
Hi Matt, really enjoyed watching your B777 on P3D. I was so impressed I purchased the game and the add-on.
Unfortunately I am having trouble activating PMDG B777. Just wondering if you can help?
Thanks, Justin
nice vids man you are a great p3d and fsx simmer
I live in Birmingham and they needed the extra runway to accommodate the A380, but they already could just about take 74's but not 380,s
Thank you very much Owen.
love that cars passing middle of runaway
After a reasonable amount of research, my findings conclude that the runway was extended due to the phrase *"Bigger is better"*...
That's what she said.
Absolutely nice video! The nav light reflecting on the ground, is that effect from PMDG that works with FSX or is it a P3D effect? I'm eager to know
i live in Birmingham and I go plane spotting at the end of 33 in the car park
they have an a380 departing at 3:00
I saw a full power takeoff
#need earplugs!
how does your sim run so smooth!!!! its so amazing, did you edit it for smoothness?
you're a good pilot ;)
Looks like the extended the run way but didn't move the A45 at the end ha!
Love the cars driving across the runway lol
