@@chemistryset1 That would have been awesome to experience a grand final at the mighty MCG whilst the result unfortunately didn’t go the Cats way still to be there in the crowd and experience a grand final exhibition a great grand final in front of 100 000 fans is a lifetime experience and yeah Gazza was brilliant with his 9 goals and the Batgirl streaker in the last quarter was hilarious 🤣
@ - it was an amazing experience; I never actually attended all that many VFL/AFL games due to my geographical limitations, but I was there at the famed '89 GF! Gary Ablett was my favourite player at the time, and to see him perform the way he did *almost* made up for not winning a flag. Little did I know at the time that it would still be a further 18 bloody years before I'd actually see Geelong win a Premiership
lovely crisp picture and a great game start to finish. thanks!
Great Quality !
well done Roys what a win !
I remember telling my dad during the week before this game to watch out for Dean Lupson, because he was a nutcase on the field. Didn't let me down.
Ken Hinkley the current Port Adelaide coach played on his 23rd birthday!!!
I think I once heard surnames were historically derived from the family trade. Thus John Ironmonger came to be.
what a massive unit he was.
only an average player at best; had his days though
Geelong lost the U/19s Grand Final, the Reserves Grand Final, and the main event on Grand Final Day 1989 at the MCG
The first team to ever lose three grand finals on the one day wow 😮
@@mattmcmanus957 was there, was a Cats fan. Sucked.
Ablett's heroics nearly made up for it all, as did the Batgirl streaker

Most players would do the snap shot now.
