    In an unprecedented move about 50 lawmakers of Nigeria's House of Representatives have written to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu urging him to direct the Attorney General and Minister of Justice to discontinue the ongoing prosecution of the detained leader of proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. In the letter written under the aegis of Concerned Federal Lawmakers for Peace and Security in the South East argued that the release of the IPOB leader will facilitate the restoration of peace and security in the region. They also demanded addressing the underlying reasons for agitations in the region to ensure sustainable peace in South East and Nigeria in general.     The court of Binta Nyako ordered the plaintiff and defendant MNK to seek dialogue through the attorney general . Nnamdi dis not initiate or indicate anything . please . lt was initiated by the Court.

    It is wrong that you have joined the bandwagon of Nigerian brown envelop media in describing IPOB as proscribed.. You should desist from making such pronouncement..
