I have a very similar testimony about JWs showing up at my door when I was a young mom at home with my first child. I prayed for Christian fellowship because I was so lonely and the JWs showed up at my door. We did a study and I began to research their claims which caused me to solidify my own biblical beliefs in the real gospel and in Jesus Christ as God. Even to this day, 10 years later, I still enjoy conversations with JWs because I know what they believe and I'm able to ask them thought provoking questions. My family is continually praying for my JW neighbor lady to come out of the org. and to be born again.

Yes I too got saved through God’s grace when I believed in Jesus Christ alone.I know that I’m saved, forgiven, a child of God, and going to heaven when I die. I got saved when I was 29 years old, now I’m 79 years old. I’m close to leaving this life, and looking forward to seeing Jesus face to face! God loves you! Bless you!!

Yes. That’s exactly how I got involved. I was raised Catholic and had zero knowledge of the Bible. Praise be to God He delivered me out of the cult. I am now a born again disciple of Jesus Christ.
I discovered much more of the Bible in the Catholic Church. It is NOT a cult. Every single Mass is backed up by scripture. Plus, joining Bible based groups within the church helps.

On closer examination proves it to be a system that negates and distorts scriptural truth by adding erroneous, man made teachings. It dilutes the Word of God by exalting it’s own traditions above the Bible. One Example: Catholicism teaches the deity of Christ but places Mary and priests as mediators between God and believers. Jesus is the “only” mediator between God and man.

I thank God that I’m no longer Catholic! Looking back, after being raised in Catholic school, I’m grateful for my belief in God, but I never understood the simple gospel. At 29 years of age I was presented the simple true gospel. I then repented and understood that 1. I’m a sinner. 2. Jesus died a horrible death on a cross to pay for my wicked sin!! God raised Jesus from the dead after three days in a tomb. He came back to life! Conquered sin, death and hell. Now we are to repent (change our mind) turn to Jesus and believe in him, trust in him, rely on him for salvation and receive God’s free gift of eternal life! Yes I’m forgiven, saved and going to heaven! Not because I’m a good person, but a saved sinner. Forgiven saved and made right with God. I know the Lord and he is my Lord and Savior! I pray you all come to Jesus! He will save you.
Marilyn, compare every thing against the word of God . I too use to be catholic , but I always wondered why they never took their Bibles to church . Have you noticed that . Instead , they are spoon fed what the "clergy" wants them to know. However, I always felt like there had to be more than this . I was hungry for God . Then I began to read the Bible (KJV). As I read the scriptures , I found just how opposite the catholic church doctrines were in comparison to God's word. Brick by brick of catholic doctrine was removed when compared to the word of God, til there was nothing left . Just a heap of rubble . Jesus said the word is truth . We are encouraged to study the word of God so that we will not be deceived. And once we share this truth we others , if they refuse to believe it. They will have to answer for it on judgement day . We did our part as Christians .

I was raised in the cult by an overzealous mother. Fortunately, my father was agnostic and encouraged my attending college. I graduated in the 1990s and left the cult in 1991. I hope that more people become aware of this destructive cult. Keeping up the good work.
Why is this video invaluable? What scripture do you rely on in the information posed? I think only one scripture was used (Romans 8)to share with JW’s while a dozen topics where merely mentioned.
They are NOT as INNOCENT as you think. The information is out there and they have no excuses for not knowing better. They display a deliberate ignorance and refusal to accept reality because they think they’re so smart and know everything, which makes them prideful. If they are NAIVE it is because they CHOOSE to be. As ADULTS we are responsible for the choices we make. This is extremely critical and VERY important. People have been HURT and not just a few have DIED, also many FAMILIES have been DESTROYED and DIVIDED because of the evil and blatantly hypocritical power mongering overlords they follow, rather than God‘s word. It is quite understandable that people have animosity toward this organization and it’s leaders. They have caused SO much PAIN and SORROW and have DESTROYED hundreds of thousands if not millions of peoples lives and careers. They have stolen people's LIVES and SOULS, so I can understand why so many people would want to see this Organization's FALL. If you find a Church that looks out for older ones, fatherless boys and girls, help the poor and less fortunate, and who visits and cares about those who are ailing....That's the CHURCH you should stay with. Newly ex-JW. I saw while I was in, how it could be seen as a cult. But from the inside, its a place of safety for a lot of people. Its a place where people will have a higher chance of being around safe people in this world. But I will DEFINITELY say, the pressure of serving correctly was intense. And the idea of being disfellowshipped, when you feel like you have no one else, was another stress. Also, the thought that if you ask questions, people might look at you weird and keep away from you is just depressing sometimes.
Good luck on your journey. JWs are a terrible cult. I think there are support groups out there that could help if you need. I have family that are JWs and even then there is stress.
My sister and family are JW. I can relate to the difficulty in reaching them. When their son tried to break free, they shunned him until he died of a broken heart. Everything you say falls on deaf ears.

When I was a child JW would frequently knock on our door and when my mom would answer she would slam the door in their faces. I’m not saying that’s the right way to do it but I’m thankful that my mom never invited them into our home to push their false, self-written doctrine. I would never want to engage in any conversations with any JW because of the manipulation tactics they’re known for and I’ve also heard that they’re hard to crack. No thanks but I truly hope many JW converts before it’s too late.
I think the 21st Century internet age has exposed these cults more so than when I was a skeptic in the 90’s; it was easier to “dupe” folks. Now we can just google “christian cults” etc. and find out a ton of information. It’s been about a decade since a Witness has come to my door. Also beautiful, the phrase “chip on your shoulder.” I don’t think it’s wise to enter any kind of theological debate with that chip. The Holy Spirit does what it does. Be the Light. Plant the seed. I tried to witness to a JW yesterday. He was a minister. The only thing he asked me was "what is the KINGDOM of God?" I did get him to take a tract because I took a tract from him. He was so nice. But my heart goes out to him. So now I want to truly understand what they believe so I can know how to talk to them. ♥️ Thank you for this!
You mentioned forming a relationship with them but this is dangerous imo bc their recruiting tactics are manipulative and powerful. It’s not worth it. Coming from an ex JW, I would stay far away from them and definitely keep your family, especially children far away from them.
Well, anyone that actually interacts with them in this manner. Must be prayed up and truly grounded in God’s word. I wouldn’t have a new believer start this process.
I 100% disagree. I have been able to build relationships with more than one JW and that relationship is what kept them talking to me for so long. My wife had a relationship with a couple of JW ladies and they talked for three years. Once they trust you, they will reveal struggles they are having that they cannot talk about with other JWs.
The JW people say, “dust your feet and walk away.” That is what they do. Melissa is talking about a FRIEND that is a Christian Scientologist? That is not good either! They get de-programmed and this is not a friend but someone who is practicing Scientology is involved in cult. If we do follow Jesus then we literally follow what His Lifestyle was, which He was a Jew. He even made the statement, in John 4:22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. And this is what Jesus said. So be careful for the many religions that have said they have the truth! Stick to the RED LETTERS and don’t throw away the Old Testament because it shows you all the prophetic words of the ancient prophets. Even many Jews killed the prophets because they were misled by paganism. We must repent and be born from above with a “circumcised heart” to be in The Book of Life. There is a remnant but this remnant is His Lost Sheep of The House of Israel and some that are strangers will be drawn into The Sheep Pen. There is only One God, One Jesus/Yeshua and One Holy Spirit. And the water baptism is included. Tomorrow we celebrate Shavuot just as Jesus did. Each year it is celebrated at a different time between May and June. The christians call it Feast of Pentecost. Even though the Sabbath is celebrated from Friday night sundown till Saturday. Ugh this sundown Shavuot will be considered a second Sabbath for Sunday which is the first day of the week. Anyway. Study and see who Our Hebrew Messiah is and was and is to come.
Forming relationships with JW’S in the hopes of converting to faith alone in Christ is for a Christian who is well equipped in the word of God . A mature Christian who is well rooted and grounded in the word , who knows without a doubt their identity in Christ. We are in a spiritual battle. God knows who to send to witness to the jw’s. I was disfellowshipped. Lost everyone. Yes EVERYONE. Almost didn't survive, drinking myself almost to death. It's been a long haul. I consider myself "spiritual". I trust the universe and energy ... it doesn't lie, it can't. People lie. I will never ever trust an organized religion ever again. I'm hoping and praying my kids see long before I did. The fear, Guilt and shame are unimaginable. Been thinking of writing a book of my experiences. This was a wonderful podcast my sister showed me and im glad she did. This time, rather than looking for a religion, perhaps you could try to know Jesus because He is not a religion, He is life Himself. I trust that as you get close to Him, the Holy Spirit will lead you to genuine believers who will help you grow in the faith. If you want to, just ask Him to help you and reveal Himself to you. I know He will. He never despises a sincere and contrite person.
My husband’s parents were disfellowshipped when he was a young boy and consequently he and his sisters were disfellowshipped too. My mum was shunned, was never believed by the elders who were her friends after being abused and raped by my so called father. They took his side and my mum was looked down on. He abused myself, brothers and my sisters and he never wanted a relationship with us after my mum finally got out. Why is he protected?? He is the one going to hell

A great synopsis of their beliefs! I think many people will benefit from this. My manager and his wife and daughter were shunned because the wife smoked. Since then, none of them want anything to do with any religion. My manager and I do have some good discussions though. Hopefully, he will come around as the Holy Spirit works.

So you can see there is a rooted commercial agenda associated with the WTS and the JWS.. 😳
I like the way Melissa is very analytical and reads scripture although I have to disagree with her last statement of the “stone in the shoe”. Hebrews 11:6 clearly states that without faith it is impossible to please God. Further more the Bible states in James that faith without works is dead. So as a married JW I can tell my wife I love her but unless I show her through my actions she probably won’t believe me.
I think the ‘every year’ part was figurative. The idea is that they change their doctrine to fit any new narrative they may have. I was watching a UA-cam video from an ex Jehovah’s witness regarding transfusions. He also mentioned that the organization changes their doctrine frequently. Also, Melissa did say that they document everything, so I imagine there is a trail of their changes online

The rest of this pastor’s video is comparing key doctrinal words that have been tampered with or removed completely in some modern versions compared to the Jehovah false Witness Bible. I also know that for a fact because after my book came out on Amazon in 2014, an X -Jehovah Witness had read the book and then sent me a Jehovah Witness Bible NWT New World Translation where I did a comparison and saw for myself is 90 percent the same as the modern versions. That’s a problem because it broke my heart that most youtubers that read or quote from modern bibles are not testing every spirit in the modern bibles which is what we are all commanded to do in 1 John 4:1.

18:40 I feel like I am taking a basic theological class from a child. Do you think Jesus loves the cross? Do you think God loves the cross? Why do you think Satan hates the cross? Does not God speak against images used for worship? The mention of the cross we must carry or embrace isn't an image or some stick, it's a life of death of our old lives. I agree, JWs overdo it with the cross thing though.
We should not judge to assume negative views indirectly rather than not finding out ourselves. Just because someone knows that Easter, and Christmas are not anything to do with Christ, and refuses to indulge in pagan practices does not make them a Jehovah Witness.
I don't think it's 100% true to say Easter and Christmas have. Nothing to do with Christ. They are the days we celebrate the birth and death/bodily resurrection of Jesus. Personally I believe the dates are accurate. Some people disagree with that opinion but the point is these days def are about Jesus. Just because someone tells you they are not about Jesus doesn't mean it's true.
When I was very young, a aunt and niece became JW. It broke up both their marriages. They shunned my mother( after they tried to get her to convert) She was so hurt she blamed God and would have Nothing to do with Any religion. When I became a Christian , she shunned me. Didn’t work. I still am. But I got persecuted.

Let me rephrase: whether Jesus dies on a cross or stake (or whether stauros is translated cross or stake), what difference does it have to salvation? Using the word "cross" is not the same as worshipping an idol or carrying a cross shaped idol. For example, speaking of Mary or mother Mary is not the same as worshipping an idol of Mary.

JWs don't believe that hell is a place where souls burn forever. Both doctrines, hellfire and the immortal soul, are unscriptural. These beliefs have been used by Christendom(the CC, Orthodox church and Protestantism) as a means to control people and swindle them. Biblically, hell is the grave.

Melissa said the Greek scriptures never had Jehovah’s name. Well she just showed me she’s wrong. I’ve seen pictures of the old papyrus manuscripts maybe 2 of them and it absolutely has Jehovah’s name in the Greek. The text was in Greek and Jehovah’s name was in Hebrew. When Jesus or someone else quoted from the Hebrew scriptures that actually had Jehovah’s name in there then it’s clear they used Jehovah’s name in the Greek scriptures. So it was the right thing to do when restoring Jehovah’s name to entire Bible not just the Hebrew scriptures. 11:10 Melissa said the proper use or pronunciation too Gods name is supposed to be Yahweh. It’s clear to me she doesn’t know what she is talking about. Are we all supposed to read the Bible in Hebrew and Greek? I don’t speak Hebrew or Greek. Today the Bible is written in many languages. A persons name would change from one language to another. Like Peter in Greek would be Πέτρου, in Spanish it would be Pedro, in French it would be Pierre, in Spanish Jimmy or James would be Santiago. So Jehovah’s name translated to English from Hebrew makes sense since I found out it was supposed to be something like Yehowah others like Yahweh. In English of course it is Jehovah and that name has meaning from the original Hebrew and I have never see anyone ever talk about the meaning of Jehovah’s name. The leaders of the JWS twist logic and bible scripture to their own biased appeal in that they are receiving spiritual light upon Jah's chosen time, so any of are false teachings are still righteous and sanctioned, they are not to be put to question or debated even using the words of Jesus or scripture. The Bible clearly states that before humans appeared on the earth only Jehovah's family of witnesses existed in the universe. The first witness to leave the family was the angel who began "Satan" the first apostate. Today either one is serving Jehovah or the adversary Satan. There is no sitting on the fence.
Actually, "Jehovah" is a made-up word. Here some history about it: Ancient Jews had a superstitious dread of pronouncing the name YHWH. They feared any pronunciation of YHWH was a violation of the third commandment, so they substituted Adonai in its place. Over time the pronunciation was lost, and since the pronunciation was lost and Hebrew is written without vowels, the vowels were lost also. Over time it was copied with Adonai wrote above YHWH, and as Kyrios in the Septuagint. Masoretes = [6-11 century scribes and scholars living in Jerusalem and Tiberius] attempted to fix divisions of Jewish Bibles for the worldwide Jewish community. They combined the vowels of Adonai [ADONIA] with YHWH to produce Yahowah. During the Reformation, when the church was headquartered in Germany Yahowah was Germanized to Jahovah = Jehovah by substituting the J for Y and V for W. Other names such as Yosef to Joseph, Yud to Jude, Yob to Job were also Germanized. Jehovah is not found in the Septuagint, Samaritan Pentateuch, Apocrypha, or early manuscripts of the New Testament. It is one thing to say that we suspect, we assume, we conclude, that Jehovah is the name of God. It is another to claim without a doubt (as JWs do) that Jehovah IS the right and proper name of God. Also - and this is BIG: if Jehovah is truly and definitely the name of God, then where and when and how did the WTS discover the correct vowels? There is also this - and this is also BIG: In the introductory material in the Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures published by the Watchtower Society, on page 23 of the 1969 edition, it says: "While inclining to view the pronunciation 'Yahweh' as the more correct way, we have retained the form 'Jehovah' because of people's familiarity with it since the 14th century." Let's be clear about this: They're pretty much saying, "Since we've been mispronouncing God's name for a long time, we might as well keep on doing it". For a group that has made and still makes such a HUGE deal about Jehovah being the true and proper name of God and must be used, that simply, flat out doesn't make sense. Or, what about another Watchtower publication, "Aid to Bible Understanding", which says on page 885 of its 1971 edition that Yahweh is "the most likely pronunciation" of the Hebrew letters YHWH. Same point as before. If Jehovah's Witness leaders were saying almost 50 years years ago that "Yahweh" is the more correct pronunciation, then why has not the organization started calling itself "Yahweh's Witnesses"? Shouldn't they be using the correct pronunciation? Even the JW masters admit that "Jehovah" isn't correct. Here's another quote from the JW masters: "Yahweh . .. is admittedly superior to Jehovah. 'The wrong spelling Jehovah occurs since about 1100' and then it offers its arguments in favor of Yahweh as the correct and original pronunciation." (Let Your Name Be Sanctified, Jehovah's Witnesses, p 16-20) See the words "wrong spelling" there? That is an absolutely SPECTACULAR admission on the part of the masters! Here's another quote from the JW masters: "The first recorded use of this form [Jehovah] dates from the thirteenth century C.E. Raymundus Martini, a Spanish [Roman Catholic] monk of the Dominican Order, used it in his book Pugeo Fidei of the year 1270 C.E." (Aid To Bible Understanding, 1971, p. 884-5). So - The word "Jehovah" was made by a Roman Catholic monk in the middle ages. So, whenever the JW cult insists and demands about the word being the true and proper name of God and must be used, they are insisting and demanding using a word that came by way of someone who was a devoted member of the Roman Catholic Church...which they totally despise and condemn.

Hi Linda, According to this scripture … John 17:3 This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ. So Life eternal is contingent on knowing the Father and the son is that how you read the scripture? You are the Trinitarian can you tell me please where is the holy spirit? Please do some research or ask some of your church members to help you with this… I am not a Trinitarian.

I’m not a jw. Nor do I follow their beliefs But Ref: the cross. I think they don’t believe there was a cross they believe it was a torture stick. But honestly. I think the cross people give these physical things Such as statues even a statue of Jesus Christ. Or Paul or a cross etc all had no power So it’s not that we should hate the cross but to west a cross around your neck or have one in your church and bow down before it or to hold it up in the name of Christ I think it has no value. And of course Isaiah 44:13-17
I have went to Jehovah Witnesses Church they do not believe in Christmas Mother's Day new year's Thanksgiving any holiday and I feel that is a privilege they have the right to believe what they want to believe just like we have the right to believe that Jesus is the son of God Jehovah Witness I believe they do not believe in Trinity that God and Jesus is one. Can I change a person thought of what they believe or what whatever the world wants you to is it is what it is just accepted live on like God God is love when it so just forget about other things that doesn't apply to us even if I don't agree with them that is their choice and they have the right just like everyone else in the world have a choice to whatever religion they believe in.

I have a very similar testimony about JWs showing up at my door when I was a young mom at home with my first child. I prayed for Christian fellowship because I was so lonely and the JWs showed up at my door. We did a study and I began to research their claims which caused me to solidify my own biblical beliefs in the real gospel and in Jesus Christ as God. Even to this day, 10 years later, I still enjoy conversations with JWs because I know what they believe and I'm able to ask them thought provoking questions. My family is continually praying for my JW neighbor lady to come out of the org. and to be born again.

Yes I too got saved through God’s grace when I believed in Jesus Christ alone.I know that I’m saved, forgiven, a child of God, and going to heaven when I die. I got saved when I was 29 years old, now I’m 79 years old. I’m close to leaving this life, and looking forward to seeing Jesus face to face! God loves you! Bless you!!

Yes. That’s exactly how I got involved. I was raised Catholic and had zero knowledge of the Bible. Praise be to God He delivered me out of the cult. I am now a born again disciple of Jesus Christ.
I discovered much more of the Bible in the Catholic Church. It is NOT a cult. Every single Mass is backed up by scripture. Plus, joining Bible based groups within the church helps.

On closer examination proves it to be a system that negates and distorts scriptural truth by adding erroneous, man made teachings. It dilutes the Word of God by exalting it’s own traditions above the Bible. One Example: Catholicism teaches the deity of Christ but places Mary and priests as mediators between God and believers. Jesus is the “only” mediator between God and man.

I thank God that I’m no longer Catholic! Looking back, after being raised in Catholic school, I’m grateful for my belief in God, but I never understood the simple gospel. At 29 years of age I was presented the simple true gospel. I then repented and understood that 1. I’m a sinner. 2. Jesus died a horrible death on a cross to pay for my wicked sin!! God raised Jesus from the dead after three days in a tomb. He came back to life! Conquered sin, death and hell. Now we are to repent (change our mind) turn to Jesus and believe in him, trust in him, rely on him for salvation and receive God’s free gift of eternal life! Yes I’m forgiven, saved and going to heaven! Not because I’m a good person, but a saved sinner. Forgiven saved and made right with God. I know the Lord and he is my Lord and Savior! I pray you all come to Jesus! He will save you.
Marilyn, compare every thing against the word of God . I too use to be catholic , but I always wondered why they never took their Bibles to church . Have you noticed that . Instead , they are spoon fed what the "clergy" wants them to know. However, I always felt like there had to be more than this . I was hungry for God . Then I began to read the Bible (KJV). As I read the scriptures , I found just how opposite the catholic church doctrines were in comparison to God's word. Brick by brick of catholic doctrine was removed when compared to the word of God, til there was nothing left . Just a heap of rubble . Jesus said the word is truth . We are encouraged to study the word of God so that we will not be deceived. And once we share this truth we others , if they refuse to believe it. They will have to answer for it on judgement day . We did our part as Christians .

I was raised in the cult by an overzealous mother. Fortunately, my father was agnostic and encouraged my attending college. I graduated in the 1990s and left the cult in 1991. I hope that more people become aware of this destructive cult. Keeping up the good work.

They are NOT as INNOCENT as you think. The information is out there and they have no excuses for not knowing better. They display a deliberate ignorance and refusal to accept reality because they think they’re so smart and know everything, which makes them prideful. If they are NAIVE it is because they CHOOSE to be. As ADULTS we are responsible for the choices we make. This is extremely critical and VERY important. People have been HURT and not just a few have DIED, also many FAMILIES have been DESTROYED and DIVIDED because of the evil and blatantly hypocritical power mongering overlords they follow, rather than God‘s word. It is quite understandable that people have animosity toward this organization and it’s leaders. If you find a Church that looks out for older ones, fatherless boys and girls, help the poor and less fortunate, and who visits and cares about those who are ailing....That's the CHURCH you should stay with. JW’S could NEVER be right because they are missing the MAIN INGREDIENT...LOVE. Jesus said you can tell my TRUE DISCIPLES by the love they have for each other. Newly ex-JW. I saw while I was in, how it could be seen as a cult. But from the inside, its a place of safety for a lot of people. Its a place where people will have a higher chance of being around safe people in this world. But I will DEFINITELY say, the pressure of serving correctly was intense. And the idea of being disfellowshipped, when you feel like you have no one else, was another stress. Also, the thought that if you ask questions, people might look at you weird and keep away from you is just depressing sometimes.
Good luck on your journey. JWs are a terrible cult. I think there are support groups out there that could help if you need. I have family that are JWs and even then there is stress.
My sister and family are JW. I can relate to the difficulty in reaching them. When their son tried to break free, they shunned him until he died of a broken heart. Everything you say falls on deaf ears.

When I was a child JW would frequently knock on our door and when my mom would answer she would slam the door in their faces. I’m not saying that’s the right way to do it but I’m thankful that my mom never invited them into our home to push their false, self-written doctrine. I would never want to engage in any conversations with any JW because of the manipulation tactics they’re known for and I’ve also heard that they’re hard to crack. No thanks but I truly hope many JW converts before it’s too late.
I think the 21st Century internet age has exposed these cults more so than when I was a skeptic in the 90’s; it was easier to “dupe” folks. Now we can just google “christian cults” etc. and find out a ton of information. It’s been about a decade since a Witness has come to my door. Also beautiful, the phrase “chip on your shoulder.” I don’t think it’s wise to enter any kind of theological debate with that chip. The Holy Spirit does what it does. Be the Light. Plant the seed. I tried to witness to a JW yesterday. He was a minister. The only thing he asked me was "what is the KINGDOM of God?" I did get him to take a tract because I took a tract from him. He was so nice. You mentioned forming a relationship with them but this is dangerous imo bc their recruiting tactics are manipulative and powerful. It’s not worth it. Coming from an ex JW, I would stay far away from them and definitely keep your family, especially children far away from them.
Well, anyone that actually interacts with them in this manner. Must be prayed up and truly grounded in God’s word. I wouldn’t have a new believer start this process.
I 100% disagree. I have been able to build relationships with more than one JW and that relationship is what kept them talking to me for so long. My wife had a relationship with a couple of JW ladies and they talked for three years. Once they trust you, they will reveal struggles they are having that they cannot talk about with other JWs.
The JW people say, “dust your feet and walk away.” That is what they do. Melissa is talking about a FRIEND that is a Christian Scientologist? That is not good either! They get de-programmed and this is not a friend but someone who is practicing Scientology is involved in cult.
If we do follow Jesus then we literally follow what His Lifestyle was, which He was a Jew. He even made the statement, in John 4:22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.
And this is what Jesus said. So be careful for the many religions that have said they have the truth! Stick to the RED LETTERS and don’t throw away the Old Testament because it shows you all the prophetic words of the ancient prophets. Even many Jews killed the prophets because they were misled by paganism.
We must repent and be born from above with a “circumcised heart” to be in The Book of Life. There is a remnant but this remnant is His Lost Sheep of The House of Israel and some that are strangers will be drawn into The Sheep Pen. There is only One God, One Jesus/Yeshua and One Holy Spirit. And the water baptism is included. Tomorrow we celebrate Shavuot just as Jesus did. Each year it is celebrated at a different time between May and June. The christians call it Feast of Pentecost. Even though the Sabbath is celebrated from Friday night sundown till Saturday. Ugh this sundown Shavuot will be considered a second Sabbath for Sunday which is the first day of the week. Anyway. Study and see who Our Hebrew Messiah is and was and is to come.

I was disfellowshipped. Lost everyone. Yes EVERYONE. Almost didn't survive, drinking myself almost to death. It's been a long haul. I consider myself "spiritual". I trust the universe and energy ... it doesn't lie, it can't. People lie. I will never ever trust an organized religion ever again. I'm hoping and praying my kids see long before I did. The fear, Guilt and shame are unimaginable. Been thinking of writing a book of my experiences. This was a wonderful podcast my sister showed me and im glad she did. This time, rather than looking for a religion, perhaps you could try to know Jesus because He is not a religion, He is life Himself. I trust that as you get close to Him, the Holy Spirit will lead you to genuine believers who will help you grow in the faith.
If you want to, just ask Him to help you and reveal Himself to you. I know He will. He never despises a sincere and contrite person.
My husband’s parents were disfellowshipped when he was a young boy and consequently he and his sisters were disfellowshipped too. My mum was shunned, was never believed by the elders who were her friends after being abused and raped by my so called father. They took his side and my mum was looked down on. He abused myself, brothers and my sisters and he never wanted a relationship with us after my mum finally got out. Why is he protected?? He is the one going to hell

My manager and his wife and daughter were shunned because the wife smoked. Since then, none of them want anything to do with any religion. My manager and I do have some good discussions though. Hopefully, he will come around as the Holy Spirit works.

Yet the WTS made up a bunch of dates going back to 1874 the first year that Jesus's took his heavenly throne and Armageddon was to most likely occur in 1914, this dating was done by the fictitious theology known as Pyramidology via C T Russell. So you can see there is a rooted commercial agenda associated with the WTS and the JWS.. 😳

I like the way Melissa is very analytical and reads scripture although I have to disagree with her last statement of the “stone in the shoe”. Hebrews 11:6 clearly states that without faith it is impossible to please God. Further more the Bible states in James that faith without works is dead. So as a married JW I can tell my wife I love her but unless I show her through my actions she probably won’t believe me.

I think the ‘every year’ part was figurative. The idea is that they change their doctrine to fit any new narrative they may have. I was watching a UA-cam video from an ex Jehovah’s witness regarding transfusions. He also mentioned that the organization changes their doctrine frequently.
Also, Melissa did say that they document everything, so I imagine there is a trail of their changes online

One was a lesbian on the NIV bible translation committee who goes by the name of Virginia Mollenkott , which several years ago, I for myself had to find out if this was true, so I tested the spirit in her and emailed her and asked her if this was true, and she emailed me back where she admitted in her own words she has been a lesbian all her life and was a stylist consultant on the NIV Bible translation committee, that I have a copy of that is in the last chapter of a book I feel God inspired me to write that took me ten years to complete called “Good Ole Rotten Apples” that to God be the Glory has been given a 4 star rating on Amazon. The rest of this pastor’s video is comparing key doctrinal words that have been tampered with or removed completely in some modern versions compared to the Jehovah false Witness Bible. I also know that for a fact because after my book came out on Amazon in 2014, an X -Jehovah Witness had read the book and then sent me a Jehovah Witness Bible NWT New World Translation where I did a comparison and saw for myself is 90 percent the same as the modern versions. That’s a problem because it broke my heart that most youtubers that read or quote from modern bibles are not testing every spirit in the modern bibles which is what we are all commanded to do in 1 John 4:1.

I don't think it's 100% true to say Easter and Christmas have. Nothing to do with Christ. They are the days we celebrate the birth and death/bodily resurrection of Jesus. Personally I believe the dates are accurate. Some people disagree with that opinion but the point is these days def are about Jesus. Just because someone tells you they are not about Jesus doesn't mean it's true.

Melissa said the Greek scriptures never had Jehovah’s name. Well she just showed me she’s wrong. I’ve seen pictures of the old papyrus manuscripts maybe 2 of them and it absolutely has Jehovah’s name in the Greek. The text was in Greek and Jehovah’s name was in Hebrew. When Jesus or someone else quoted from the Hebrew scriptures that actually had Jehovah’s name in there then it’s clear they used Jehovah’s name in the Greek scriptures. So it was the right thing to do when restoring Jehovah’s name to entire Bible not just the Hebrew scriptures.

Actually, "Jehovah" is a made-up word. Here some history about it:
Ancient Jews had a superstitious dread of pronouncing the name YHWH. They feared any pronunciation of YHWH was a violation of the third commandment, so they substituted Adonai in its place. Over time the pronunciation was lost, and since the pronunciation was lost and Hebrew is written without vowels, the vowels were lost also.
Over time it was copied with Adonai wrote above YHWH, and as Kyrios in the Septuagint. Masoretes = [6-11 century scribes and scholars living in Jerusalem and Tiberius] attempted to fix divisions of Jewish Bibles for the worldwide Jewish community. They combined the vowels of Adonai [ADONIA] with YHWH to produce Yahowah. During the Reformation, when the church was headquartered in Germany Yahowah was Germanized to Jahovah = Jehovah by substituting the J for Y and V for W. Other names such as Yosef to Joseph, Yud to Jude, Yob to Job were also Germanized. Jehovah is not found in the Septuagint, Samaritan Pentateuch, Apocrypha, or early manuscripts of the New Testament.
It is one thing to say that we suspect, we assume, we conclude, that Jehovah is the name of God. It is another to claim without a doubt (as JWs do) that Jehovah IS the right and proper name of God. Also - and this is BIG: if Jehovah is truly and definitely the name of God, then where and when and how did the WTS discover the correct vowels?
There is also this - and this is also BIG: In the introductory material in the Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures published by the Watchtower Society, on page 23 of the 1969 edition, it says: "While inclining to view the pronunciation 'Yahweh' as the more correct way, we have retained the form 'Jehovah' because of people's familiarity with it since the 14th century."
Let's be clear about this: They're pretty much saying, "Since we've been mispronouncing God's name for a long time, we might as well keep on doing it".
For a group that has made and still makes such a HUGE deal about Jehovah being the true and proper name of God and must be used, that simply, flat out doesn't make sense.
Or, what about another Watchtower publication, "Aid to Bible Understanding", which says on page 885 of its 1971 edition that Yahweh is "the most likely pronunciation" of the Hebrew letters YHWH.

If Jehovah's Witness leaders were saying almost 50 years years ago that "Yahweh" is the more correct pronunciation, then why has not the organization started calling itself "Yahweh's Witnesses"? Shouldn't they be using the correct pronunciation? Even the JW masters admit that "Jehovah" isn't correct.
Here's another quote from the JW masters: "Yahweh . .. is admittedly superior to Jehovah. 'The wrong spelling Jehovah occurs since about 1100' and then it offers its arguments in favor of Yahweh as the correct and original pronunciation." (Let Your Name Be Sanctified, Jehovah's Witnesses, p 16-20) See the words "wrong spelling" there?
That is an absolutely SPECTACULAR admission on the part of the masters!
Here's another quote from the JW masters: "The first recorded use of this form [Jehovah] dates from the thirteenth century C.E. Raymundus Martini, a Spanish [Roman Catholic] monk of the Dominican Order, used it in his book Pugeo Fidei of the year 1270 C.E." (Aid To Bible Understanding, 1971, p. 884-5).
So - The word "Jehovah" was made by a Roman Catholic monk in the middle ages. So, whenever the JW cult insists and demands about the word being the true and proper name of God and must be used, they are insisting and demanding using a word that came by way of someone who was a devoted member of the Roman Catholic Church...which they totally despise and condemn.

Admitting to making false prophecies doesn't magically change them, they are still Bible defined false prophecies (Deut 18:20-22) Very poor reasoning, probably why JWs "suggested dates" and went beyond and added to scripture.
