I absolutely rate this car 👌
Make sure you’re subscribed for Wednesday’s video it’s a good one and if you’re not following me on insta yet here’s the link:

Cant wait for the Wednesday video drop I wanna no about that bmw lol love ure content keep it coming
i do like these little kia's. would be good to see a 20-70 in the rs7 calv mate
I have one of these. 😁 had it nearly 6 months. Love it. Really good car that not many people know about.
@@andrewmcgill6659 i wonder what tuning options are available for this car, be good to see one with 250bhp
@@bigmatt2896 people have got 260bhp from just a decat, air filter and remap.
It’s great having content that is low budget and high (ish) budget, it’s makes your videos loads more interesting.
You need to get a Kia stinger GT-s on channel another car that’s kinda not really looked at but offers great value for money 💰
Great to look at I saw the 3.3 litre model it was epic
It's a good looking car.
My neighbour has one and it's wicked mate
True this, work colleague has one, mapped stage 1 and it's ridiculously quick, like M3 quick, just nuts man haha
Don't like Kia stinger because it looses value so quick
I’m soo glad you did a video on this car! I had one of these for 3 years, and it was my second car with 1 year no claims bonus it cost me £1500 but for me this was amazing coming from a 1.6 Astra which cost me £3500 for my first year driving, but ye this car is the reason I love cars, driving and anything car related and will forever be the car I should of never sold. So underrated
Is that with a tracker? Im quoted 3.6k-7k depending on the details of the car without a tracker with 1yr no claims
People that slag these cars off are the same guys that can't stand the fact that a Hyundia i30N runs rings around a golf GTI 🤗
Yeah and its broken after 4 laps on a track
@@rossallan6853 evidence of that statement?
I seen 1 at knockhill ,my local racetrack in Scotland. I'm a track day guy myself. And yeah the guy was not amused that it broke. Great car for the road not for pushing hard round a track. Hence GTI wins.
Although it may have been the driver at fault. 🤭
More then likely. Some ridiculous mod that the car doesnt want probably causing gremlins
Awesome review and great editing/cuts. It would also be nice to see more of the road once in a while. Keep it up.
Great fun and informative dude. love your energy and genuine enthusiasm and knowledge.
subbed man
👏
BRAVO!
Editing on point as always Calv!👏🏻
Definitely love to see you get a Stinger now. Been on my radar for a while and on some days i love them and others im not sure - styling wise. Would love to see a video on one of those and see what you think and make my mind up for me. Loving the content, helping me stay sane in lockdown. Much love.
Great content Calvin! Such a good video for anyone interested in one of these cars! 🔥😎👍🏻
Loving the high Milage performance cars bro, much more affordable for many of us. Cheers Calvin 🙌🏽
Impressed it matched that tuned TT on your draggy test with quite a lower power to weight ratio. Kia horses obviously still very strong at 120k miles!
Test drove one at 18 when they first came out, absolutely loved it and wanted one since! They're holding their value well too! Been around the 5-7k mark for the last 2/3 years!
The great thing about your channel is I think people would be more inclined to buy cars from you as you come across as a genuine, nice bloke. So it’s great advertising for your business! Good luck to you
Love the review, definitely adding this to my short list! :)
Nice one Calvin! Loving your channel man.
Keep up the hard work! #ONIT
Brilliant cars 👏 best channel on UA-cam mate keep the videos coming
These are the decent little cars which other "snobs" would put down, nice one Calvin!
Same as my 208 gti which smoked countless S line A3s 😂
2.8 v6 turbo sigmum here. Over 100 in 3rd and pulls all the way to 170 in 6th
I've got s pro ceed sr7 having had VW's all my life, this car outperforms all VW's even my Scirocco! Had it 5 years and only had a bulb go on it, great car!!!
Good to hear. We had a Pro Ceed Gt from 2014 to 2018 and it was a cracking car. Never missed a beat, and turned heads all the time. I was really hoping Kia would progress and develop a hotter version but alas, they didn’t. So we reluctantly changed in 2018 to a I30N. You still see very few actual GT’s on the road. Absolutely loved my Pro Ceed GT. and loads of tech as standard (heated seats and steering wheel to name a couple). Great video.
thats exactly the car that popped into my head when i was looking at the pro ceed gt tonight - its like an i30n with a bit less power BUT they will remap upto 250bhp so id imagine once you do that they have a bit of poke... how did you find the handling with it?
Loving these 20 to 70s Calvin. Keep em coming please. Cheers, Jon.
Owned the very same car for 3 years, it’s called GT TECH ie heated seats/ heated steering wheel. Definitely recommend this car, never had any problems, cheap service cost. Well done to KIA.
Yes mate been waiting for this 👍
Hadn’t actually considered one of these before... got me thinking now 🤔
Amazing vid Calvin ! ♥️
I bought an 09 Proceed Zr-7 with 118k miles. About 50k miles missing in the service history but shes at 160k miles now going strong and serviced every 10k. Hyundai/Kia Gamma engines are pretty solid and are everywhere.
Great honest channel - loved the M3 vs AMG comparison & found it very helpful 👍🏻
I have a question...
If a person buys a CAT write off & insures/declares it as one & then has an accident at some point in the future & wishes to claim
Would the insurance company pay out for repairs?
Would they write it off (again) if damage was bad ?
Or would they just pay out the original scrap value?
Would the different CAT categories make a difference in this ?
What would happen if the car is stolen ?
I’ve never bought one myself as it all seems too complicated...
Maybe you could do a vlog on this one day as you don’t seem to be bothered about buying them
I reckon lots of people would like some honest enlightenment on this subject👍🏻
All the best Calvin & good luck with the business bruv
Bloody love your honest delivery. Brilliant ! I've been looking for a Corsa VXR 2015 onwards for ages (I drive a mapped turbo 1.4) and worry about all the issues,..piston 4 shittin itself, and dodgy gearbox etc etc. I never even thought of the Kia Cee'd GT till I stumbled across your video. I think I'll be looking seriously at getting one of these instead now. 👍🤞
Definitely do it have had one since 2016 and now it's running 330bhp
Ive got a 12 reg kia ceed 1.6diesel. Bought it as a daily...254k and has never let me down. Decent enough cars the kia now👍
Kia is a very good car i have the same but in a 10 plate
I have a 08 same engine kia ceed never let me down bro very good cars
mines a 12 jd also diesel 1.6 remapped to 170bhp would smoke this gt because diesel torque
254k fair play
CCD soundtrack would make a good playlist, some banging tunes on the cinematics 🎧🎧🎧🎧
my current car, i have a 2014 model, with a stage 1 tune, and a de resonated exhaust , cracking motor, admittedly it does feel a little sluggish at stock, but a tune completely transforms it. and the sound it makes just by cutting off the resonator is insane.
you still got it? how do you find the handling? in my head i have them as like the same sort of car as an i30n - mapped to 250bhp with all the gadgets etc i think its a decent buy!
Love it nice lil car Calvin
Didn't think you would do a video on this car however I'm glad you did. I own one and can't fault it wanted a little bit of power but didn't want to go crazy and spend a fortune at the time. Only thing that bugs me is the front suspension seems like it's bouncing across the tarmac when you wheel spin off and sounds like it's gonna break the front end off lol 😆
Lmao Calvin when you go off topic its funny asf, the puddle and the trees 😅😅
Smart little car mate! Video editing on point
good content cal m8,the older 63 plate kia GT pro ceed which your driving in this good video is a great car if you have a low budget nice looking and its very good value for the money
Its called the kickdown on auto,s Calvin , that last bit of spring resistance on the throttle . Good vid Cheers
So what you've got there is the pre facelift GT tech, that's why it's specced with the heated seats/steering wheel, touch screen and directional xenon headlights.
After the facelift in 2016 they dropped the base GT and every GT had the same tech.
The GT button itself doesn't have any effect on the drive it just changes the screen 👌
Interesting to see. I made the jump to Kia back in 2018 for family car duties - Optima Estate. Won’t set the world on fire but it’s the perfect tool for the job. Prior to that I had an XF SPORTBRAKE and it spent more time in the garage than on the road 🤣
Hyundai also impressed me after I drove the I30N- that’s an absolute riot.
P.s your fascination with the puddle was amazing 🤣🤣
popular car on the roads now Calvin might be faster than my unmapped golf gtd .. love the content
Awesome content Calvin, theres something for everyone! Thank you 🙏🏻.The latest Proceed GT is a genuinely good looking car, like a CLA Shooting Brake, but half the price!! Its tempting........🤔😎😎
Have the proceed GT shooting break myself, dct and 200bhp is genuinely more than enough to put a smile on my face on a b road and also super practical to fit stuff in. Loads of kit as standard including heated steering wheel and seats and gets lots of comments from people as mine in the only one I have seen in my city.
I had a regular ford fiesta as my first car at 21 and actually bought a Kia Procee'd GT 2 years later (that I still drive). My insurance changed from around £700 for the fiesta to £1,000 on the Kia, nearly 5 years later my insurance on the same car is under £400 with 7 years no claims. I did have one accident that was not my fault so it could be lower still! I've really enjoyed my Kia but I'm ready to move on to something else when the car starts having a lot of issues.
I've got the 2019 shooting brake... GR8 all-rounder 👍
I love mine. Had it 8 months now, really good quick cars. Insurance for me at 21 is £502
Really glad I found your channel, your review gave me the confidence to go ahead and buy a Ceed GT, I absolutely love it
how is it holding up if i may ask? Are you still proud with that purchase?
@@RopeIsMyHope Brilliant car
Brilliant channel mate
Nice car nice to see something different for a change
I have this exact car, slightly modified, with a stage 1, like you said in the video, it's a good car for the money you pay, great bang for your buck!
It’s a Pro Ceed GT Tech (tech refers to the option pack of heated wheel and sat nav etc)
That a Beast of a car only having 200bhp man love the video's calv keep it up and keep #Onit bro my g
Proper lovely mate!!
Used one at work for a couple of weeks, highly recommend one, if your thinking of buying a fiesta st or 208 Gti these are also a good contender.
I've bought an ST, sometimes I do miss the comfort of something like a KIA
Hope all is well Calvin
im 18 currently drive 2019 kia rio, very underrated cars not the fastest but very fun to drive
Looks likes a smart little car that. Would never think of considering buying a Kia
Love mine and Kia have always fixed any issues within the warranty
I’m a 3rd year driver now and looks at a bright yellow one of these and ended up with a Volvo V40 D3 R-design
Bought one today, im amazed. Got ALOT of car for the money.
Kia ceed good little cars, my old man has a 1.4 58 plate cee apostrophe d 😂 covered 95,000 miles and feels tight as a drum still. Never had anything other than service items and a coil spring. He bought it new and I use it as my safe get you there car occasionally for bigger journeys. Kias used to represent very good value for money but unfortunately with the more recognition they are getting in the motor industry their prices are equivalent to more mainstream manufacturers...
Looks a nice car a good clean it will look amazing
I recently got a sportage same engine 174 bhp and it proper shifts for a bigish car there has been talk of these having carbon deposits on intake valves but I think that's at very high mileage.
Hi,I'm new to your channel and I subbed to u ✌my my question is what do you do with all the cars u buy, do u have a shop or something
You’ll probs find it’s got like the auto click in the pedal as that’s for the the speed limit function so if you set a limit say 30mph it would limit at 30mph until you push past that click, that’s what every speed limit function car I’ve ever driven has has anyway my theory behind it 😂😂
You already showed the mileage before when u showed it had no fuel lol !!!!! Life the content
Never seen one, look pretty cool and accessible
👍 nice motor Calvin
Lovely little car that, something different too
Is there a way to put the new steering wheel in this model? Will everything work i you do?
it really is a good car for the money! still driving mine low mile since a older man drove it before me. and he didnt do kia service, so i got a good deal! no problem since!
Random question but do you know how to reset the TPMS light on one of these cars ? Can’t find it anywhere
i've got one pro cee'd 1st editions , 150 000km , and run always great !
I had one. Great little cars
I use to have one of them myself, apparently loved it. Also I had a DTUK turning box on it approximately running at 245bhp
how did you find it once mapped? how did it handle? weighing one up..
@@s1dew1nd3r4 it was fine handle really well. I’ve still got the turning box if your interested in buying it off me?
@@martinbaker7097 potentially mate, need to have a proper look and drive/sit in one of these really first i do like the idea of them but i suppose you never truly know until you have a go.
@@s1dew1nd3r4did you ever get a chance to sit & drive one?
What would you choose out of the Kia to a fn2 type r?
Im tossing up on one of these or an st festy.. what would people say/recommendations?
you should do a video on the abarth punto you have
Like so many small cars, not really different-looking enough to be special. I’m guessing it’s the long warranty and add-on service package etc with a new one, which makes them an attractive buy. Second-hand though, bargain pocket rocket 👍
I had a 16 plate kia ceed gt for a few years really good cars
Just found this video and I'm so glad I did was considering buying one of these and now I'm definitely getting one i dont care like it or not 8m going all-out for the shouty yellow one
bought one yesterday for my first car in white, its so nice
I have a Kia Rio for a bit more than a year now, it's got 109 HP and I want to upgrade. With only 1 year no claim I can't even ensure it. Need to get two more years
Currently one for sale in BCA, might bag it myself.
Seeing a lot of youngsters getting these motors now, shame insurance prices are ridiculous, completely unfair how insurance limits what car you get
One sweet spot I’ve found as a young car enthusiast is the Mini Cooper s and JCW 2014-present. I’m paying £750 a year at 19 with 2 years no claims for a 230hp hot hatch. Whereas GTI quotes at £2500 and s3 at £2700
Don’t you dare ever say bucket and sponge again Calvin! 😂❤️
The GT button doesn’t change anything but the Speedo, wish it did mate.
Just got my proceed gt changed from my fiesta
The only negative i can say if the mpg but everything else is nice
I nearly binned my Clio 182 the other week seeing the icicles from a puddle 😂😂😂
The last 3 cars I've bought have each had over 100k miles on them when I bought them. The first which I guess was the only interesting one was a 2005 3 year old M3 CS. I paid 14.5k for a 3 year old car which cost the guy before me 56K. No brainer if they've been looked after.
The ice tree by the layby was bigger than that the day before and made me stop as well.
Concentrate Calv 🤣 if you ever change your UA-cam name it’s got to be side tracked Calvin 😂 my dads had one of these. Decent for a Kia great looking cars
Really nice looking car
I was pleasantly surprised when I drove a 1.6 turbo Astra H, lagged a little then shot off and took me by surprise.
That puddle snow was amazing.. more interesting than a kia... Still you do a good job of making the video entertaining though mate
I have recently just bought the new kia proceed gt shooting break, I'm 21 with 4years driving and 4years no claims and I payed £550 so not too bad.
i done a quote on this as 2nd car at 21 with 1 year no clams and got 1200 for the year, really considering this as my 2nd car
Had one of the cleanest kia ceed GTs going, on a 13 plate, very low milage and loved it,,,,, but it would not go off road so I sold it for a suzy vitara 😁👍
I’ve got the Gt line on yellow
1L
And the insurance is reasonable, it cost me £780 a year
And the road tax is super cheap £30 a year compared to what I use to pay
My bora got 217.000 miles on . My mates got a Kia gt and he got 180.000 miles on it still sound as a pound . They are good car . Get a stinger on channel. They are incredible.
The front fog lights remind me of the MK8 Golf GTI ones!
You mean this Proceed GT reminds you of the MK8 GTI. The MK8 came after the Proceed/
Cal get a kia stinger. 👍
Take out the backseats and stage 2 it mush🤣🔥
I have this in black stage 2 270bhp thing is insane
