Best Buy really lost a lot of frequent customers when they got rid of their physical media. Physical media was the only thing that would keep customers going to their stores weekly. They should have at least kept a kiosk with their new releases and Best Buy exclusives.
BB were just getting worse about selling their physical media anyway. I would go by the store and frequently the shelves were half empty or the product was in a backroom and not put out on release day. BB was also getting hammered online by Amazon. They just couldn't keep up in the e-commerce race and they also lost a deal with Paramount to Amazon to sell exclusives.
As much as I love physical media too, that isn’t correct. They were losing money by making physical media available. If it was a cash cow, they wouldn’t have gotten rid of it.

Welcome back, gents! Currently listening to this whilst having a soak in the bath. My favourite part is usually GET OFF MY LAWN because having turned 50 this year I find I agree with both of you. Thanks for all that you do, it's appreciated.
The best thing about that Jaws bath bomb is it turns the water blood red and it actually looks like someone is bleeding. Once the bomb dissolves, it's a mini Jaws figure. Incredible stuff. If you don't watch to open it, watch a UA-cam video of it.
As a Manchester England man I don't get Seinfeld, but Larry David curb your enthusiasm is the best show ever, I love it. 12 brilliant seasons, thank you Larry.
Sean, I know we cross over because of our support for the Waste Some Time With Jason Green podcast, but the last few podcasts I’ve seen on your channel has solidified my respect and loyalty for you as both a business owner and an individual. I’m sick of Hollywood actors trying to cram their political views down my neck. I’m a journalism major who is smart enough to be able to sort things out. We also live on completely opposite coasts , yet similar but polarizing states. I thank you tremendously for staying true to passion in life for horror films.
I agree with the “get off my lawn” where people talk on their phone while crossing the street really slowly and not looking out for cars. Also, people who walk diagonally across the street so that it takes them twice as long to cross while you’re waiting for them in your car. Sometimes I’m amazed at people’s lack of self-awareness and how they’ve survived as long as they have.
Sean, I have to say that I only recently discovered you on here. And man, have I been binging your channel. As such, this was my first podcast and what a freakin' delight. Great to listen to whilst sculpting away...off to find more. Keep up the great work!
Glad im not the only one who liked ISS! It was really good! I actually saw it in theaters, going in completely blind to it, and was surprised how much i liked it!
You guys should do an episode all on life in the 70s and 80s and getting a hold of any horror memorabillia you could as kids, saving up cash and the difference in pricing (inflation), going to magic and gag shops, chris gathering amateur makeup supplies, the monster books you had as kids, birthdays and your parents reluctantly getting monster stuff for you. But MOST importantly dress up as your younger selves! Sean should wear a long black wig with a white band shirt, and Chris with his blonde mullet and soul patch with all denim! Rock it!

Love the show guys. Thanks for keeping us horror geeks entertained. About that Alien movie... Are you both seriously excited to see that? That trailer did not do it for me. Looks like just another retread of the same thing w/ a younger cast. I remember how blown away I was seeing ALIENS in the theater in 1986. Nothing will top the first 2 films. I think they could have gotten close w/ the original idea they had for Alien 3 - setting it on earth and having a King Alien. Do either of you know anything about that original concept? Keep up the good work guys! If you don't mind give a shout out to my boy Jeffrey and his Farm Bus!
I’m on the opposite end of the physical media spectrum; I spend most of my time watching blu rays, dvds and even laserdiscs, those have been great fun to revisit. Especially the Criterion edition of Halloween!
