Thanks guys. Happy Thanksgiving. And I actually enjoy and appreciate your talks about death and the people we have lost.
Ah great to see you guys back again. It was a heavy one…….had to watch one of your more uplifting vids after this. But it’s real stuff….. part of life.
I so relate to you guys. I am 57. Chris, I began to tear up as soon as you started talking about your Mom. I am going through the same thing. I am all my Mom has. My sister, daughter, her grandchildren and great don't see her or haven't for 17 years. Mom was divorced in 1979. I can't shake her off my mind. I see her sitting alone in her room. It devastates me. She is relatively happy. We play scrabble at every visit. It really puts you in to perspective of what the future holds for us. Some days I just don't want to get out of bed. Mom seems like the only thing that keeps me going. It brought me back to a relationship with God. Suffering, after all, isn't that what life's about, beyond a shadow of a doubt. I wish you and yours all the best. I will put your Mom in my prayers Chris.

I was dying over Chris's reaction to the pickled beer. Being only 37 I think about my own mortality a lot too. Not having kids I think the same thing about whats going to happen to me when i'm old. I recently watched george romeros amusement park and made me really think about how i'm going to be treated when I'm old.

Thank you for the kind words.Dave C and his family are very special to me we are from the same town in Massachusetts . Dave and I moved to California together in 1993.I lasted 2 years and moved ba k home leaving my dave to fulfill his dream in music he moved home 30 years or so later.We got together for my bday in July He was only home for a year.
He will always be in my heart. It's truly devastating. It is not yet known how he passed. He passed away 1 month on December 11th. He was 52 years old.

I love David Gordon Green and I was cautiously optimistic for Believer (I was even a staunch defender of the trailers). Then I went to the theatre that particular Thursday night… and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Trust me, I wish I felt differently about it.

This get off my lawn segment hit hard but enjoyed hearing it. I’m only 38 but have been thinking the same thing as my parents are getting older and following all these actors I knew about as a kid getting up there now, still remembering them in like their heyday of the 80s is almost surreal.
Even though it sucks, glad you brought up the topic Chris, and Sean, glad you seem normal after that wreck earlier this year! You guys are real and seems like someone I’d sit around and hang with and talk about movies and random thoughts 🍻

Guys this has to be the most thought provoking show yet, this latest post has made me wake the hell up, its been a wake up call on life. yes we all go through life not thinking about death ,when will it come, how will it come etc but guys like you say ,get real and put in place a will of some sort before the vulture's come and get it. And as Sean said, you don't know when life will end and when its a friend that has suddenly died so young. Listen guys i thank you for your shows on here and talking real life etc. I hope someday we can all meet up but lets just cherish life etc and do things we want now, not tomorrow, do it today or next week etc. And to Chris i feel for you and your mum ,i have my mum who is 82 yesterday and we just don't know when our time will come to an end. cherish the time with family and friends as i do watching your shows and i do call you a friend as well. Thank you guys and respect, David x

Hey guy another good video. I really feel you guys talking about mortality. About parents mortality. I know how Chris is feeling I went through the same thing with my mom at the beginning of this year. In January she fell and broke her hip had surgery a was placed in hospice care in my house. My sister who has experience in that situation being a nurse told me to prepare for the worst she was up & down until she passed in April. It was very hard to see her gradually slip away daily it was devastating watching her take her last breath. I felt like i failed her I didn’t want to eat for days because I felt why should I be able to enjoy a meal when she couldn’t eat at all. Thankfully I have my girlfriend kids & best friends to get me through this. I told m girlfriend when I go ( because I’m 13 years older than her so I know I’ll go first) split my collection between my kids my friends & sell whatever’s left. Sorry if this went too long or dark but his segment of your video just got me a little emotional. Take care guys

Sean, I remember those art pieces at tower and when they close their doors people were asking hey can I buy that artwork what’s gonna happen to it? Sadly, as far as I know back in my hometown of Sacramento, most of the stuff was transferred over to dimple records with some of the tower record stores. Dimple ended up meeting the same fate. But I’ve often wondered what happened to the artwork because that took some real talent to do those. Anyhow, I’m glad to see you guys are back and posted videos again after a two month hiatus. Also I’d like to say I’m sorry about hearing your friend pass, it’s a tough time, especially with it getting close to the end of the year.

You guys are around my age and it’s interesting to see we all share the same thoughts and concerns about aging, health and death, regardless of upbringing and nationality. I’m 53 and I’ve thought of my own inevitable death so much in the last few years. Life is passing in the blink of an eye and no one has any guarantee of how long they have left.

Hi Christopher & Sean. I’m a big fan of you guys and about your age. I’m 52. So, I’m a part of the same horror generation as you guys. And like you, I decided to not have children. We are now at the age where we question our choices we made when we were younger, dammit. But just because you have kids doesn’t mean they’re going to stay with you and take care of you. Having children is no guarantee that you’re going to have people around when you need them. You can’t second guess your choices you made years and decades ago.
My mother and father, both died at the age of 66. I am now 52. Well, what would you think?
We are going to start thinking about these things. But we can’t dwell on them. We are all going to die one day.
I live with being HIV positive. And I have now survived for 12 years.
Keep living your lives.
There is nothing like losing a parent. I am sorry to you, Sean because I know you have had a lot of death around you lately. My heart truly breaks for you. Take that pain, and keep doing what you’re doing. Comfort other people. Lift other people up like you always do. That’s what you’re supposed to do with that pain. I’m the kind of person that, when I’m at the bottom of the barrel, and then when other people fall in, I’m gonna be the one to push them up so they don’t have to stay down where I am.
So, take your pain and keep giving the kindness that I see you giving.
Christopher, I’m sorry about your mom’s health. Our mom is the one that brings us into the world. There is nothing like seeing a parent sick, especially your mom. I’m sorry. I’m sorry that you have to go through this. Don’t think so far into the future. With all of the stuff I’ve been through in my life, what I have learned is that you have to be in the here and now. You have to truly be in the moment. Don’t think about your fate Christopher. I’m sure it won’t be the way you’re thinking. You’ll be OK. It’s not gonna be as bad as you think.
Anyway, I love you guys. Thank you for getting me through so much stuff. I am forever grateful.

I lost 2 parents in 4 years - one with dementia. I think about it all the time. Live every day. I have step kids thank god - death is imminent so throw back some more sour pickle beer and make beautiful horror art because life is short...
