- AMAZE takes the awkward out of sex ed. But sometimes no matter how hard we try, the conversations can be a little...awkward. Sometimes it can be awkward to ask a parent or trusted adult questions about puberty and sex. As uncomfortable as it may feel, remember that they were once your age and went through the same things you are going through. A parent or adult you trust can provide the support you deserve as you go through puberty. That’s why it is important for you to have at least one adult you trust and can talk with.

After that... My dad became an alcoholic for a while, things are better now but back then, it was tough to live without a father figure
I'm so sorry you had to experience that during your childhood. I hope that things are better for you. If you feel like you need support, I recommend talking to an adult you trust to find the help that you deserve.
I am so glad that me and my friends are awkward together. So it's is easier to talk to them about some things rather than my family😂

I know when I hit middle school my mom got me a american girl book that was super helpful, so I knew what to do and wasn't all freaked out when puberty hit

I learned from google and UA-cam and sometimes my sister and mom. I didn't full on confront them I was just like hey I got my period. Or when we went shopping for bras at first I felt weird but the second time we went I was perfectly fine. To be honest I was fine because I knew everybody that was biologically born female went through the same thing, so this is perfectly normal and good so why should I care. That was my mindset👍
(P.S: I was smart enough to not believe the internet and it's wacky ideas I actually just found out how the body work and learned over time)
