How did you get the coax into the cab I have a 2022 cascadia daycab and thinking about doing the same thing how far can to talk with this set up
I do all my own installation also and I found out that bundling up the CB coaxial like you did cause a choke in the radio signal and high SWR which will damage the radio.. Stretch the coax cable out in the head line
Yeah because it creates a “coil” the proper way to deal with excess is the make a figure 8 as many times as needed and zip tie the middle

They do but the range is shit

yes common with truck oem Radio antenna. I did SWR close to 4. Very bad.
