- Head tracking FPV pilots practicing close formation flying in a pair of E-flite Carbon Z T-28 2m trainer planes.
Both CZ T-28 are stock and converted to head-tracking FPV by adding Motionsic BAG (BadAss Gimbal/ pan & tilt), Tally-ho head tracker with DJI FPV Goggles/ and Air Unit.
I setup head-tracking FPV following KISS (Keep it Simple, Stupid) principle😘. No flight controller. Just install pan & tilt with DJI FPV and connect to corresponding receiver channel setup with head-tracking on TX and go!

Awesome flight! It was great seeing Richard out there flying with you.
Thanks, it was a blast. You are welcome to fly with us next time you visit Southern California, too, Steve😊
@@fpvdogfight I’ll gladly take you up on your offer. At least I’ll do my best to come out and meet everyone when y’all are out flying. Thanks!!! 😁
Steve, thanks for inspiring me. I look forward to flying with you someday!
please post more often I love your videos
Thanks to your support! Will do.
I agree 100%
Great to see unedited FPV flight formation training. The cockpit experience is 👍
Around 8:30- to landing had some great moments. Really nice.
Thanks Mark 👍
My buddy Vern wants to get his mustang to this level!
Glad for you to pay a visit Sgt Ray! If you fly quads, adding head-tracker is easy🙂. Need discipline to fly close though, or collision happen easily😉

Vern flys planes. He's got it all mounted in but it's kind of glitchy. He's the only one in his club who's attempting it so he won't be able to fly formation with anybody but me. LOL in a quad flying formation with a plane it's pretty easy at least for me. I've told him about your site often enough that he should look you up to get some of those glitches out
That was a fun watch nice flying guys!
What video transmitter and camera do you use? This looks like a lot of fun! I have flown some FPV but not trying to do formation flying. If you were trying to get B+ level equipment - great but not the most expensive - what would you pick. I assume you require an 8 channel RC receiver
I use DJI Goggles 2 with O3 Air Unit (includes camera). These are being discounted already since the next gen products are already out (Goggles 3 etc). Check out Walksnail Digital Goggles and VTX’s not as expensive as DJI but pretty good. Better than DJI if you use flight controllers - OSD friendly.
