for those who dont know, Mandalika is a beach places, you cant see it here on the onboard camera, but if you going to visit there, u can climb those little mountain and see all the view of the mandalika circuit as well the beautiful beaches just beside it..

i loved the last turn. it could be a dog fight zone. late break from short straight line and re overtake on slow chicane. lastly drag battle to finish line. may be the straight line before the finish line could be longer. so we can see another dramatic finish 😎

I just hope this track can host F1 racing. However, if Mandalika can't hosting F1 race because the expensive funding, I would love to see a GT racing or Endurance racing in this track like Super GT, GT3, Road Race Championship, etc.
From the news I read. They will host the final round of GT Challenging Asia. if I'm not mistaken.
Well, I don't really think this circuit characteristics fit for modern F1 cars. If they make the main straight longer and make a second straight into t10 by removing t7, t8, and t9 and make it a bit longer (also possible to make 3rd straight by making longer, deeper run into the circuit from t11 to t12, and make a long straight from t12 to t15) then it would be great for f1

The new Mandalika circuit is very good it has fast flowing corners which will require the riders to build up speed through the corners and it will also test the bike's ability to drive out of a corner (acceleration). Overall it reminds me of the old assen circuit.

It's really not though. Brno has big sweeping lines with multiple straights. I am actually a little disappointed at this track, it's way smaller that what I was anticipating.

@@aerith119 Yeah of course. if you see the Indonesian news about the Mandalika MotoGP pre-season test preparation. The spectator stands in front of the paddock are currently under construction. Whereas in the video footage it is a temporary audience stand and it has now been dismantled

@@heliosans Agree with you, If you saw the final round World Superbike last year, it serve so many epic overtaking from each rider. Especially on the T2-T4 and the last 2 corners.

So much run off, you can get lost finding your way to the gravel trap! 😂😂. You're going to see many junior riders taking the piss with track limits infringments here, but it'll be a lot of laughs for late braking opportunities. If only Andrea Iannone was still in the paddock, he'd be torpedoing the front runners at every opportunity! If the circuit wanted drama on and off the track, I reckon it'll deliver on that front.

The overall combination of slow and fast corner are actually pretty good
All circuits built in each country are different in character, one of which is the Mandalika Circuit. Mandalika circuit has a fast character with speed trap model and also with a flowing character, fast like the Circuit Assen, Jerez, and Philip Island. So riders often compete at speed and overtake, that's what I read from the media. :)
Don't forget mate beside mandalika is a sea that went through Indian ocean so it would be very windy as like as phillip island

Missed the apex turn 1....haha just for fun ! yeah track looks good and free flowing...I like the change of directions
Hopefully the last 3 corners is going to be very crucial area to overtake, especially when it's going down into last lap showdown.
We've also seen T1-2 and T10-11 are several good overtaking hotspots back in WSBK, now wishing that there's plenty more areas for the MotoGP class! 🙏
