He's been on his own since age 19. When I say he's "home"...he's here from out of town visiting me for a couple days. It's sad that you think because a young adult is serious about life and not a drunk or drug addict that they're a Mama's boy...very sad for you and any children you may have.

Bargo's mother will be too busy basking in vindication to have space left for devastation, as for heartbreak it looks like she's got complete immunity to that.

My grandfather was abandoned by his father and his mother. At 3 years of age, he was dumped on a sadistic great uncle, who lived in filthy, horrible conditions. My grandfather was starved, beaten, neglected when he was sick-- to the point of death, exposed to the elements, worked to the bone, thrown into the mines to work as a young child... He grew up to be the most wonderful, loving, gentle, generous men on the face of the earth. THERE ARE NO MITIGATING CIRCUMSTANCES FOR WHAT THIS GUY AND HIS FRIENDS DID TO SEATH JACKSON! I vote for an eye for an eye for sadistic murderers. Edit: Someone just added a reply. He pointed out that he, too, overcame abandonment, homelessness, poverty, and a host of other challenges. Take a look at the reply.

I don't even take meds for it. Yet I'm not out murdering ppl. There is no excuses. The dude did csuse he was beat up in front of ppl by a 15 year boy and his ego was torn. The death penalty is to easy for Mike Bargo. The parents of Seth Jackson should be the ones to take his life. But they won't cause unlike zMikd Bargo they don't just kill people to kill people.

I instilled in him drugs, drinking and the gang life was NOT in his destiny...College was his destiny and I am proud of the great man that my son has become.

What do you think SHE put him through with such a dismal choice of a garbage man to spawn a child with? Or do women have no accountability for who they choose to mate with? In an age of equality we need to ask why SO many women are factoring as SO irresponsible when it comes to who they will mate with? Let's remember that a number of both evolutionary and legal precedents make women far more the Vanguard of the species' future than men. Men tend to just be waiting around, competing for notice and waiting for their chance to pass on their seed.

@@griz063 these low "quality/garbage men" don't show their true colours until after the woman is in love with him and she is emotionally invested in him. He emotionally abuses her at first and it is very subtle, before she knows it she is completely under his control and is isolated from friends and family (all part of his doing) and believes everything he says. Any time he thinks she's going to leave he either threatens her and/or her kids lives or he turns back into the man she fell in love with and tricks her into thinking he's changed, and the cycle continues.
I know this because I've been that woman, I couldn't believe I was that woman because like you, I judged these women and thought that they must be stupid for staying with men who abuse them. But it happens so slowly and under the radar that you don't know until it's too late.
You will never understand until you find yourself in that situation. I learnt many lessons in the course of that relationship, one of them being.....don't judge a person until you've walked in their shoes, instead, try to put yourself in their place and be kinder to those whom you judge because you never know what they're really going through beyond what it looks like on the surface.

Do you think women are immune to not showing their true colors until after you fall in love with them?? 🙄
And perhaps there WAS some wisdom to the old rituals of a prolonged courtship, going steady, engagement and then finally marriage that was a LOT harder to divorce from than just dropping a few hundred bucks on a lawyer and being supported for the next 18 years.

This is sad all around. I feel sad for the mom. No mother is perfect. Whatever her problems were in the family, there is no excuse for what her son chose to do. He was old enough to know right from wrong. I don't blame her son's actions on her. I also feel bad for the victim and his family. The defendants should all have gotten death for their parts in the murder.

    • @griz063

The automatic response of "sad for the mom" is a relic of a bygone era of inequality. Equality has to mean equal responsibility in reproduction and right now a LOT of women it seems are not vetting the men they choose to produce children with and end up with total garbage. Her son was old enough to be taught by the parents what was right and wrong -- but they were probably too busy in their own drama of their own making to give him the upbringing he needed.
Yea, the dad was an alcoholic and all-round terrible guy. So why did she choose to sleep with him?? Even if he just "put that on" the 7 or so months before their boy was born, there should have been signs. We need to ask what has changed that SO many women are ending up having children with low-quality and garbage men? Because outside of rape, they are the ones with the ultimate say.

@griz063 my ex was a great partner and father figure for my 9yr old son from another relationship. He wore that mask well.
As soon as we married( he was convincing we would do well together and my son needed a father image) things changed drastically. Verbal abuse went to physical..I was supporting us now and he began drinking again. I was pregnant and very church involved. It just got worse and I should've left him that 1st year but was encouraged by our pastor to stay married, go to therapy and he would change. He never did..9 yrs of this and now 3 beautiful kids..yes..I know how ridiculous it was but I believed God would fix him..this woman was abused by the husband who turned their son against her. Michael sided with dad because he was never held accountable and dad was a friend so no boundaries or instruction on how to correct bad behaviors.
This is common and he ruined this boy and his mother son relationship.
Thankfully..therapy..sports and me being a good example as a nurse hard worker and college student helped.
My son is successful, loving and on his own since 18 at college now his own apt. He knew early on Not to be like his abusive dad.
My oldest son was doing well until he wasn't. He was and is angry I didn't leave this man way sooner. He is correct. My daughter picks men like her dad..also common with girls.
This kid had no chance while dad was still influencing him and growing up with violence is learned behavior. No excuse for murder but I get why.

I see a version of survivors guilt that I haven't ever thought about. In a way, her son lost his life that day as well. I feel awful for her. 😢

I was talking to my kids about this case before watching this video. I strongly believe children are a product of their environment. While his mom is not to physically blame for what happened, parents play a huge role is how their children turn out, who they become and the morals/values they are taught growing up will influence the choices they make. All it takes is one bad choice. I sleep well at night knowing I teach my kids right from wrong and so much more. I'm sure she wonders everyday where she went wrong in rasing him to be the person he became. As a parent we have to do so much more than provide basic necessities to our children.

I work with her lady that her son is a teen and possibly a future serial killer, he even pulls knives on her, yet she is a great mom. No psychiatric meds seem to work on this boy. I have worked with her for over 10 years since the kid was like 4. She has tried everything!! Some people are just born evil and even the best parents can't change that.

This kids had a 7x better childhood than I had and I didn’t viscously unlive an innocent kid when I was 18. NONE of these are valid excuses for his behavior. However, it sounds like these two parents spent more time being inconsistent with their parenting than coming together for the better good. I have no doubt that there were clear enough signs of his imbalances far prior to the incident…he needed psychological treatment-whether he wanted it or not.

Yet another victim of Bargo's crime's.
No one can save Bargo for what he'd planned against Seath Jackson.
R.I.P. Seath Jackson, justice has been served but nothing can bring you back.

so tragic. I feel really sorry for her, you can see the devastation but it seems the son wanted to be with his father and anger just built up but if he was spoilt, that creates monsters ?

I just heard of this murder and my sympathies go to Seath's mother but on the other hand Michael's mother seem to do everything she could do. When you have another parent doing exactly the opposite there is not much control you have over them. I know as I had issue's with my ex and my son. He undermine everything I did. I can feel for this woman her heart is broken for the son she couldn't save. This young man has made a victim out of her and obviously has no remorse for any of his actions. It's the Mothers who go down fighting and denying that their child has done nothing like Scott Peterson's mother.

Anyone who knows anything about Ssdi knows if the child turns 18 during the process of receiving it, it MOST DEFINITELY is sent to them directly or to their bank acct.

This poor lady did nothing wrong. She tried to do the right thing. She married a monster and I bet he encouraged the son to treat his mother horribly as well as behave like himself. I think all these boys who grow up to be killers were told they’re special because they’re male and, as such, they don’t receive any consequences for their bad behavior. So many of them act like they’re entitled to kill without conscience.

You didn't do a good job raising your kid. Now the state will discipline him. All these kids are messed up because of mom and dads drugs and alcohol.
