Do you notice how calm and collective his demeanor is compared to these so-called “gangsters” these days? These individuals are the most scariest and deadliest ones. If this man was talking to me and never said anything about his former life, I would see him as a business man of some sort. Never would’ve even think he was part of a legit mob family. I'm simply saying that from a realistic perspective, there were actually some benefits to the neighborhood to having these guys around. My old neighborhood was controlled by the mafia and there was very little "street crime" that went on. Some vandalism, graffiti, and illegal fireworks, but you could walk alone at night and nobody would bother you. (And this was when crime and drugs in NYC was at its highest levels.)

When he begins talking about the murders, I partially agree with him. Every murder in the mafia wasn’t “justified” or “honorable” and that’s going back to the early days before the RICO trashed everything. Double crosses happened, innocent people got hit, etc.
