Well, the mob literally invented random drive bys, and business bombings, and bank robberies. So, you must mean like how the Chicago Outfit lead, by 95 Iq'r Capone, or maybe Bugsy, or whitey burglar. Or maybe Tommy DeSimone, who shot at random pedestrians to test his gun out.

Do you notice how calm and collective his demeanor is compared to these so-called “gangsters” these days? These individuals are the most scariest and deadliest ones. If this man was talking to me and never said anything about his former life, I would see him as a business man of some sort. Never would’ve even think he was part of a legit mob family. That’s why I always show respect and kindness to everyone I meet in my life because you never know what kind of person you are truly dealing with.

Earlier in the 20th century, the mob also shook down people like honest street vendors (who needed every dollar that much more than strip club joints). And as far as the "we only kill our own" thing, when that happens, they don't care if there's collateral damage. That’s where I disagree with a lot of people who debate the mafia vs gangs. To me, the mafia were able to make more connections and I think that was moreso because of the color of their skin.
