Mind showing me where in this presentation it says that these differences were hereditary? I'm of the impression, currently, that Sidky doesn't believe that there really are hereditary scribal errors, due to what he said on his interview with Paul Williams on Blogging Theology.

That’s why Any books can be preserved in written form for a long time period authentically if we don’t preserve it in also oral form like Quran. See Torah & Injil were easily corrupted by banu-Israel because of written form
Quran is not preserved letter to letter and dot to dot but it preserved the message that Allah passed down to prophet and followers until today.
The Torah is preserved letter by letter for the past 2300 years.

This dude basically telling that Quran is not preserved as Muslim is claiming that the Quran is perferctly preserved - letter to letter, dote to dote. So, don't get duped by any Muslim apologetics.

Why was quaranic manuscripts not available to rest of the world? Perfect preservation a modern invention. Later corrections made to various manuscripts to fit Kairo text.
