I love this wall! I think I should have a wall just like this for my Grandbaby's room, and a name sign as well! I might have to do a LOT of cleaning to get that done!
That looks awesome! Can you tell how big the room is approximately? I would really like do try this in my living room (also with green paint) and I‘m afraid the room is too small so it will look kind of constricting
I didn't get your name in this video but, I really want to thank you for the information. I can't wait to try this in my home. Two questions: Did you need to caulk at the base of the MDF and the wall? Also, did you put up art on your accent wall?
Just wondering what thr dimensions of this wood are? 5/8" x 1 1/2" Or 1" x 2" You mention 1x2 in the video but the screenshot is a different dimension?
This same MDF is now over $6 a piece (also in Ontario Canada like the girl in this video) - I ended up using framing lumber at under $3 each and filled in imperfections (knots etc.) with wood filler/sanded them all down (it takes more prep/effort but it will save you over $70)
yeah I recently made some doors using similar MDF strips and I couldnt believe the price increase! they did have wider stripes that were basically the same price tho that I ended up just cutting in half...saved some money that way!
Wow looks great! I have a textured wall and am debating skim coating it first. Would you suggest smoothing out the wall first or just putting the boards right over the texture? Thanks!
I debated this myself and ended up skim coating our wall and I think it will look more seamless. Our wall is about 111 sq ft and we were quote $3.50/ sq ft. We ended up doing it overselves over 3 nights. It is a lot of work, but not too complex after watching a few UA-cam videos.
What paint finish did you use? I'm looking to get my project started soon and wondered if you used a semi-gloss or something else? I love the way your project turned out!
This is the best video that I have seen so far regarding DIY Accent Walls. Thank you!
You are my inspiration! Congratulations on growing your family tree.

Love the design. Your little one is going to be a DIY baby for sure, having supervised your project from the "inside" LOL!
hahaha i hope so! :)
Great video! Question: what was actual dimension of mdf? 5/8 x 1 1/2 or 1 x 2? Pic in video says one thing, supply list says another. Thanks!

Love the color!
thanks! me too! I was a little nervous it would be too dark, especially since it's called "Black Bamboo" but I think it's perfecT!
I really, really, really want to do this. I’m just scared it’s won’t come out right. I have a mitter box to work with
Congratulations!

You only bought 2 piece of mdf?
This is so beautiful! Would you say the paint color has a hint of green and gray or is that just the video?

I am curious too! I just bought Sherwin Williams cashmere in low luster and am wondering if I should have gone more matte. 😩
@@susanb7594 I used an eggshell finish and it turned out great!
Is it not painting harmful while pregnant ?

Поздравляю.Ты беременна.Храни тебя Бог и твоего ребёнка.
I've seen this exact wall on a dozen other sites. Even the same color. Too cookie cutter for me.
