I think the main thing is, the jesus car forced him to do the one thing that you need to do to beat this challenge, which is going slowly. The racecar was a good car from a handling perspective, he just drove it too fast.

This stream was so long that people were going to sleep and waking up and Doug was _still_ trying to complete it.
It's even madder that the same thing happened with the voice commands challenge a few streams later. lol

I watched it for a bit, took a nap, taught a night class, and then watched it again when I got home for like two hours until he beat it. It was amazing when I realized he was still live

As a teacher I sometimes plan lessons in my evenings, and one night I was up until 3am.
This stream was live in the background for 6 hours whilst I was working, and when I finally finished I tuned back in right at 19:40.
As I went to bed it brought me immense pleasure knowing I wasn't the only person suffering at that moment - RIP to all the believers!

@@shitfacejohnson4085 Can confirm. Some streamers offer rewards that points can be redeemed for as well, like highlighting a message so that it's more likely to be seen, or fun special emojis. Points cannot be bought, and are earned via time watched. The betting aspect is basically just gambling with monopoly money; nothing serious actually lost or gained, other than bragging rights and pride, and seeing numbers go up or down

Them finding atleast one joke that ends up lasting the entire stream is most of the charm in Doug's videos. It's even better when some jokes recur in other streams. You could find one of the least interesting looking videos in Doug's challenge playlist and it'll still be great because everyone in chat is still depressed after breaking up with their wives.

This was the very first DougDoug stream I actually caught part of.
It had been going for seven hours and I knew EXACTLY what part of the DougDoug cycle it was in.
I wished him luck and moved on. I didn't even stay long enough to learn that betting was an option.
That being said, I love ya Doug, but I would have been rich really quick if you know what I mean.

I think the thing is, it's hard to tell if a challenge is going to be hard or very hard because you don't know how many standard deviations of luck is required at your peak performance, and the difference between 2 standard deviations and 3 is about the difference between requiring 45 runs and 700.
