Wow, that is interesting. But is it only able to detect if Suica is the recently used card in the wallet? Example, if my last transaction is using Visa, would the default be Visa since it's recently used? Or does it detects all card already registered in the wallet.
Its so great but its really behind the times. In england, you just use your contactless card for everything. Its so much more convenient and as long as they get your money, its never an issue.
Thank you so much for this. I always wanted a Suica card because i visit Japan regularly so the Welcome Suica isn’t very interesting for me. And last August i was near Ueno if i knew that i could get it there…
Thanks! Your videos on airport limousine bus have helped me plan for my Tokyo trip in November 😊 This video on Suica is useful too. Can I buy the Tokyo Metro 72-hour ticket at Haneda airport?
Yes, a special ticket that includes a return trip on the Keikyu Line from Haneda Airport to central Tokyo and a Tokyo Subway Ticket is now on sale. Tickets can be purchased at the Keikyu Tourist Information Center in Terminal 3.
Hi, I was at Tokyo Station, Akihabara Station, and Shibuya Station yesterday, but they said the Suica card is not available at the moment. Is there any specific time to get the card?
@woeisfiq So today I passed by the Tokyo Station and tried my luck there. I finally got a Suica card from a ticket machine. There are two types of regular Suica cards: a nameless card and a named card. The one that is currently unavailable is the nameless card. You can still buy a named card like this video showed. Your name will be printed on the card, and if you lose the card, they will contact your registered telephone number.
Hello Meg, been watching your video for the last 2 days. it was very helpful. One question though, I will be traveling for both business and leisure. is there a way for me to view the itemised transaction on Suica? thanks
From a point of view of transportation in only the Tokyo & Chiba areas. Is there weekly/monthly pas for metro or train? (Assuming that you are there for about 6 months)
I linked my suica card to my iphone wallet then the physical card cant be used how to remove it from the wallet so that i can used it again a physical card please make a video for this concern 🙏🏻
Welcome Suica can be purchased at the JR East information desk in Terminal 3.(For travelers) You can also buy Monorail Suica at Tokyo Monorail stations.(Functions are the same as Suica)
Hi, if I have only 10,000 yen note and reload 1,000yen for my Suica card, will the balance of 9,000 yen be paid to me? Thank you looking forward to your reply.
Hi Meg, I was just in Japan and uploaded the Suica Card on my iPhone, however, did not get to used it because the app was only available in Japanese. Do you know how I can get refunded and who I can contact with electronic Suica? I appreciate your help.
Thank you. My European phone number is 9 digits {or 12 digits including the country code). Does this mean I cannot use the ticket machine to purchase a new Suica card? (the video says a 10 or 11-digit phone number is needed)
Perhaps if you go to the Midori-no-madoguchi counter with your ID, they will be able to correct your name. However, it is important to double-check several times to ensure your name is correct.

Hi, I was at Tokyo Station, Akihabara Station, and Shibuya Station yesterday, but they said the Suica card is not available at the moment. Is there any specific time to get the card?
is it sold out?
@woeisfiq Not sure, but they just said it's not available. I will try it again someday before going back to my country.

@@h_rv_nc_ awesome thanks for the info 😀
@MegLog Trip from TOKYO, may I know if it is easier and better to get a Suica card instead of buying those 3-day passes?
Hello Meg, been watching your video for the last 2 days. it was very helpful. One question though, I will be traveling for both business and leisure. is there a way for me to view the itemised transaction on Suica? thanks
If recharge with cash, does it MUST be in Yen or USD is also ok?
Hi, thank you so much for sharing. I plan to go to Japan next month. May I know where can I get that SUICA card in Narita International Airport?
You can buy SUICA at the green or gray ticket vending machines on the JR line at Narita Airport Station or Airport Terminal 2 Station.
Will Suica card be available in April 2025? I am planning to visit Japan next year.
I'm visiting in April 2025 too!
Is it possible to buy both the suica card and the Icoca card?
Yes, it's possible.
From a point of view of transportation in only the Tokyo & Chiba areas.
Is there weekly/monthly pas for metro or train?
(Assuming that you are there for about 6 months)
If you travel around the same way, you should have a monthly pass
4:38 If I don't have a Japanese phone number, can I still buy a Suica card from a vending machine?
Hi
Can you tell me if it is possible to use an ordinary ic card ticket machine and pay by a credit card or do they only take cash, thank you
I linked my suica card to my iphone wallet then the physical card cant be used how to remove it from the wallet so that i can used it again a physical card please make a video for this concern 🙏🏻
Can I buy suica in Tokyo and return in Osaka?
Aside from suica, can I use welcome suica to Osaka and Nagoya? Thanks
It looks like you need cash to pay for the card. Is it Yen, or does it also take US dollars or credit card? Thank you. Very helpful information.
You need to use Yen. Some might allow the use of credit card but best be safe and use cash.

Hello thanks for the video. Can Nimoca card balance be refunded in Tokyo?
Hi Meg, I was just in Japan and uploaded the Suica Card on my iPhone, however, did not get to used it because the app was only available in Japanese. Do you know how I can get refunded and who I can contact with electronic Suica? I appreciate your help.
I tried to refund but the guy at the counter told me cannot which I don’t understand
Can you add cash to your suica that is on your phone..
Thank you. My European phone number is 9 digits {or 12 digits including the country code). Does this mean I cannot use the ticket machine to purchase a new Suica card? (the video says a 10 or 11-digit phone number is needed)
If you put in the country code, it would be 10 or 11 digits, what do you think?
@@MegLog_JAPAN thanks for your reply. If I use the country code, it will be 12 digits. {9-digit number + 3-digit country code)
@@andrewABW That means you should go to midorino madoguchi or you should buy a welcome suica instead of an Suica.

I need to know

Perhaps if you go to the Midori-no-madoguchi counter with your ID, they will be able to correct your name. However, it is important to double-check several times to ensure your name is correct.
