Thank you for the very clear and detailed explanation, was trying to find out if I could buy the NEX round trip ticket from the vending machine and your video was the only one that confirmed I could! 😊
This is such a big help, thank you, I’m going to Tokyo on August and nervous about navigating the railway system, I will be flying in from Narita to Shinjuku since that’s where I booked my accomodation.
Very good and easy understanding explanation ! If I stop at Tokyo Station on the Narita Express, are there escalators from the train platform to the station exit? Similar to the escalators at Shinjuku platforms 5 and 6?
this is excellent! I appreciate the visuals and signs. I am arriving on a weekday around 4pm (rush hour). Would u recommend to take this NRT express or Limo bus? I heard Limo bus is longer due to traffic? Also, are there rideshare pickup points in Shinjuku for Ubers? (Or other rideshare/taxis)
Thank you so much for this video!!!! Most helpful. Will be flying into Narita next week and was trying to see how its like on the train. Thank you again!!
My partner and I plan on taking this exact route! My one concern though is the luggage space as we'll be carrying large luggages. Will NEX be able to accommodate 4 large luggages?
Great video, Thank you! Do you recommend getting the NEX round trip ticket if we are only staying in Tokyo for less than 7 days? We are staying in Shibuya. If so, do we select a time for our travel back to the Narita airport when we get the round trip ticket or can we choose that time when we are leaving? Also, does Narita Express run early in the morning? As our flight back will be early. Thank you again so much and I hope my questions makes sense!
Thanks for watching! Yes I do recommend getting this round trip ticket! You can pick when and what time when you go back to Narita Airport at the ticket vending machine. So you don't have to do anything for return ticket when you arrive. And the first Nex from Shibuya is 6:01, you'd be at Narita airport around 7:15. Hope this helps! Feel free to hit me back if you got more questions!
Thank you for your clear explanation! you just answered one of my concerns, which was if I could purchase the round-trip pass to shinjuku at the airport. I have been trying to get them online but keep getting an error message. My other question is How likely is it to be sold out to Shinjuku?
Thank you very much for a very informative video. This has taken my anxiety levels down a couple notches. Im conscious that with train rides and depending on what side you sit on, you get some pretty neat views on the way into tokyo. My question probably sounds incredibly pedantic (especially as i read this back to myself) but was there a particular side of the train that had better views coming in Tokyo? Thanks again!
Hi! Your video is very informative and easy to follow. Can I purchase the N’Ex round trip ticket to Shinjuku and return from Yokohama to Narita? Total stay is 12 days. Thank you
I hope you can do a video on taking Kensei Narita Sky Access train from the airport going to Sky Tree or Oshiage Station, what tickets to buy and platform to take. Thanks in advance.❤
So, is it cheaper to buy a round trip ticket on Narita express if you’re leaving Narita in 14 days? We will be going to Shinjuku on arrival to Narita and on our way back we will becoming from Kyoto. So, I assume we will board Narita express at Tokyo station. Does the round trip ticket work well in that case?
Great video, thank you! Quick question, but if you purchase a round trip ticket upon arrival to Narita, do you have to purchase the return ticket as well from Shinjuku back to Narita at the same time? Much thanks! 😊
Hi! For the basic fare + limited express ticket, is it both on just one ticket? Since the machine prints out two, do we use both tickets or do we only have to use one of them to go through Narita gates + Shinjuku gates? Thanks so much!
Hi! Thanks for watching. If your final destination is same as Narita express stop, you just get on ticket. If your final destination is somewhere but not same as Narita express stop, you will get two tickets. You only need the basic fare ticket to go though the gate!
so if i will stay in Shinjuku, NEX has a direct trip from Narita. Skyliner would be faster but i have to change at Nippori. so NEX would be better? or still Skyliner?
Hi, If I bought a round trip ticket, Can I book my return trip to Narita Airport at any train station vending machine or I can only book it at the train station that has the Nex line? Another question is can I book the return trip on the day itself when I am returning to the airport. Say I book a return trip for a Nex train that is arriving in 30mins time at the vending machine of the Asakusa station Nex line?
Hi, thanks for watching! You can buy a Nex ticket any JR stations. You can buy it from vending machines or ticket office. You can book a ticket when you buy it.
Hello! Just wanted to ask your best advise on my flight situation;)- flight arrival at Narita is at 8:00pm. Undecided whats best train to take going to Shin-okubo/ Shinjuku. Worried if 1.5 hrs is enough to get through immigration to luggage before we can get tickets to trains;) What can you advise? Thank you!😊
Thanks for watching! You can use the both. Please watch it from 1:36. Here is the link below. ua-cam.com/video/lC4UAOd1hQk/v-deo.htmlsi=thLTD5pcT-NO26LG&t=96
There are no baggage restrictions. There are three locations: the luggage storage area right at the entrance (5:48), the space under your feet, and the space above your head.
So initially I thought we would have to get off the train and back on halfway to Shinjuku. Is this not true? Also it seems important to board car 7-11?
Narita Express goes directly Tokyo, Shinagawa, Shibuya and Shinjuku. Car No 1 -6 goes Yokohama and 7 -11 goes to Shinjuku. This train will split at Tokyo station.
Say I buy a JR pass and make a reservation for a bullet train seat. What if I miss that train? Do I have to make a reservation again for the next train?
Great video. Exactly on point. So its around 3k yen in one direction? And 6k for round ticket to Shinjuko. Well maybe NEX round Tokyo ticket its much worth it then. Its cheaper then normal ticket in both ways, and you can use the train for 14 days and travel within Shinjuko, Shibuya, Tokyo Station, Yokohama etc. Very informative. I'll definitely buying this when I arrive there.
Hello. Can I take the Narita express from Narita airport straight to Shinjuku, or do I need to transfer at some point? Please advise how to proceed. Thanks!
@@wearelostinjapan someone mentioned you need to board an specific car number bc it splits in Tokyo station… can you please help clarify? Thanks so much again.😊

Hi does Shinjuku Station have a rideshare area to take a taxi or go to where you’re going?
Unfortunately no.
Hi, is the South East exit near to find after getting off the narita express? Thank you!
Hi Thanks for watching! It's not that hard if you follow the right sign.
Thank you for clear explanation. Do my 5 year old kid need to buy ticket?

Hello, we are arriving at narita airport 6:25 pm, what's the last train going to shinjuku? Thank you.
Thanks for watching! Yes it works. I hardly recommend to get a round trip ticket in your case!!
Does the Suica card work with the nex?
Yes It does as basic fare ticket. You still have to buy a express ticket though.
Great video, thank you! Quick question, but if you purchase a round trip ticket upon arrival to Narita, do you have to purchase the return ticket as well from Shinjuku back to Narita at the same time? Much thanks! 😊
There is no need to buy a round-trip ticket. However, round-trip tickets are discounted.
Thanks! Super helpful!!
Thanks! This helps a lot!
Upon arrival at the Shijuku station, is it easy to find the EAST exit with a luggage?
Hi! Thanks for watching. I gotta say it's not that easy to go EAST exit. It's like 7,8 min walk. South is the definitely easiest!
Quick question.
Does this take you directly to Shinjuku station. Like I won't have to get off and transfer to a different train at tokyo station
Yes. This train takes you to Shinjuku Station directly. No transfer.
is it necesasry to reserve ahead? like via klook? because im worried if the flight gets delayed.
