Thanks for the tips on the Uniden 510. Good little radio I left a like. 21 S.C. Old Radio Night.
You're welcome Yes Skip's been coming in strong. Been hearing people over but I can't get out. I need to put my tower up lol. Thanks for watching. Have yourself a great night. I'm glad it helps
Thank you so much i learn about
Well spotted fault and brilliant fix! No-nonsense troubleshooting technique!
One question though, what would have happened if the speaker wires were soddered back reversed?
It really won't bother it too much. It just makes it work backwards. Instead of pulling. It'll push the speaker out which will give it a different tone. Perhaps maybe along jeffity would eventually probably burn it out. That is a good question my friend. Thanks for watching and a comment. Have a great day!
fixing cbs for over 45 years your right it is cheap made,,but better than some new ones now lol
Oh yes I saw a new ones I justice picked up in Dayton Ohio ham fest. Wow! They're really cheap you ain't kidding lol
@@bucketsgarage it now the xenia ham fest ...tornado got the one in dayton,,,
It looks exactly the same as a president Harry 1 but with less internals.
Great idea on those speaker wires, that's also how I do mine. The Pro 510/520 is a great little radio. I don't think the newer ones sound as good as the ones that Uniden produced back in the 80's though. I have several older ones, as well as new model. They are pretty easy to work on.
Yeah, a lot of the older radios. All are a lot better. I agree with you. Big time. Thanks for watching 😁
Awesome repair!
Thanks!
Thank you 😁
As an old CB fan of some time back, late 80ts. What I never found out was a thing called a “Bleed Over Cristal” I’ve fixed a couple of rigs that some numpty wired it the wrong way and shorted out the Diode. I would love to know where this Cristal goes on the rig. So please show me how to do this and end a long time mystery.
Hey bud, thanks for watching the channel. Yeah unfortunately that one I don't know too much about but hopefully someone reads these comments that can help you out with that. There's plenty of great cb ers out there that have good knowledge on that spacific item. Thanks again for watching bud
I will check that out!
What can be done for a galaxy 959 that has little to no receive without a preamp running.
You know what it seemed like. I had an issue like that once and that was actually the RF game knob was bad. I'd kind of start with that or it could be a zinger diode but I checked the dial first. Hope that helps
I have 2 of those and both have lost audio.
Yeah, hope this video helps you out bud. Thanks for watching. Have yourself a great day ☺️
Why can't Americans not say solder is the English way
I’m in total agreement with you on this. After all, English is English.
