Sadly, this looks nothing like the colins. HMAS Rankin only has 4x X rudder, a sonar dome, and looks moch more streamlined than this. Plus, the self noise for this is 7db louder than a los angeles class, which is bullshit. At low speed these are much quiter than 1980s era nuclear boats.
I absolutely agree. I wish I had worded it all better in the video and said it is a 'representation' of a Collins class. I've read some great stuff about the Collins class and antics they've gotten up to when training with Americans and others.
@@BaronQuertier hi there @Baron Quertier, I've been watching your streams over the weekend, as I was originally only looking for cold water videos, but I watch many of your other games streams and thought they where put together quite well.
Excellent commentary, and videography, only down side was your last video was a year old, should had kept with it, as your streams are much better then popular channels like Sub brief and Flambass..

I admit, I regret not continuing, though ironically in recent weeks I have seriously considered recording and uploading again. Even reinstalled cold waters thinking I might start there.
Looks nothing like a collins class!!! It does not have a pointed bow nor does it have vertical or horizontal rudders on the stern! X style rudders only!!! I should know I'm an Aussie... very poor looking Mod!
You're right it's not a brilliant likeness. The modders have to take an existing vessel from the game and transform it as best they can. They are constantly improving the vessels they have modded. The problem is they appear to be going for quantity rather than quality and trying get as many modded subs into selection menu as possible rather than refining a smaller handful of boats. Thanks for the feedback sir and thanks for watching the video.
The modders use different part of different subs to put many of these subs in the game, but many of the game original ships and subs are greatly detailed.
i love this game but my thallasaphobia kicks in when i want to play it so i can only really play the shallow watered missions :(
It is a really good game and sorry that you suffer from that phobia. I myself love the sea and going swimming in the ocean. I'm a big fan of all things nautical.
