What is crystallize and wrapping means?

    • @LostArtistryLash

Crystallizing is where you create the fan, and bond the base with a very small amount of glue to have your own pre-mades ready for a service!! Wrapping is where you create your handmade fan (with out crystallizing) and place the fan onto the natural lash - you shimmy the base of the fan onto the NL which essentially 'wraps' the fan around the NL. Hopefully this helped!! If you want some more explanation, dm us on instagram with questions :)

I want to ask you something, I make my fans with the pinch metod and I feel that the base of the fans is flat and I can only place it on the side of the natural eyelash because if I put it above or below it is not well adhered, which is the correct form that the bases of my fans have to be?

I don't know if I explained myself in a way that you can understand me

I know exactly what you mean. This is completely normal. The fan is either going to have a vertical or horizontal base, both are wide in some way. The goal with handmade fans are that they form around the natural lash once placed which changes the shape to fully form around the natural lash however this is impossible to achieve always so let's say you can't wrap. For these lashes we want to ensure that the base is no "wider" than 1/3 more than the natural lash once made. This sometimes means we have to use smaller dimensions or diameters even though we know the natural lash can handle the weight. This way we know the mascara wand will not hitch onto the base of the extension and cause issues or poor retention for the client. I hope I answered your question well

can I use a nano mister to crystallize them?

    • @LostArtistryLash

The nano mister is used more for times when artists need controlled curing (the end if a set). Pinching is way more effective for this BUT with hat being said, always try things once. I would love for you to try that out then tell me if you prefer a nano mister!

This makes me want to ask a question about nano misting. I’m a lash artist as well and recently had my lashes done by a lady who has been lashing for 15 years. I’ve been trying to get in with her for months. She nano listed me several times during my appointment. I didn’t have the nerve to ask her why, as I’m a new lash artist and I did tell her that. But I couldn’t muster up the courage to ask her. She also turned out the light other than the ring light above us. I was falling asleep bc she was so gentle and it was so relaxing. But I still don’t really know why she kept nano misting throughout my appointment. It’s been 2 weeks and I’ve only lost 6 lashes. I keep them, take them with me to work and look at them under my magnifying glasses so I can look at the diameter of the fan! I’m so OCD and obsessive! 🤣🤣

@@theresahartley5146 Nano misting offers a controlled mist that helps cure the lash adhesive with out shock curing it. It optimizes retention if not over used!
