I'm with you - I love 💕 this channel so much! Great content, great features, great homestead, and overall two great people who I've learned so much from.
Nice updates, brother Sid. Integrating new birds is always a bit nerve wracking. Great hearing the planning processes. If our county regulations ever allow roosters, we will definitely try to handle them more to hopefully stave off aggressive behaviors. Have a blessed week, my friends.
I wish the counties would allow people to own more chickens and allow at least one rooster. But I understand. They [govt] want people to rely on the system.
Wow !! 23 degrees? That's crazy. Michael is a Boss!! 😂 We want to start a meat bird flock next year. We are definitely interested in your breed and the Red Rangers. Y'all are getting it done over there. Nice setup. Let the land pay some of the bills. Great Job 👍. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your day
Yes! Get yall some meat birds especially American Bresse chickens. Best tasting chicken. AND they are self sustainable chickens. We tried the Red Ranger and wasn't a fan. Maybe we raise them wrong and too long. I don't know.
My boy “Patriot” is the “Johnny Bravo” of our crew , but all of the 12 Bresse roos are handsome! I’ve got one that’s a little slower growing and one hen that stays in hiding all of the time. She’s healthy , but she’s slower than the others so they pick on her. She’s doing good nevertheless, she’s found her a place to hide out.
@@TheNakidGardeners I think I’m going to separate her and a couple of my much younger Cemani hens and just let them have their own space with no rooster til she catches up
Haha we just might. Mrs NG wants to change it to Nakid Homestead. We are going to be bringing in another flock from another breeder to increase the quality of these birds.
@@TheNakidGardeners Nakid Homestead doesn't sound bad at all, kind of gathers everything you guys are doing and if the Mrs wants it she will get it 🤣, expanding the flock is awesome. keep it up guys
We normally put new birds in the coop/pen to where the other chickens can see the new birds and not be a threat. We do this for 36-48 hrs. Then release them to the other. They will have a peaking order but just monitor them and they will be fine.

2:03 - Michael? Beat it? HA! I get it now... very funny! 😁
He started out to be the "good" rooster. We had his brother, Lucifer. He some how died from a kick after he flocked me one too many times 🤔

Patriot is a beast. That hen probably isn't going to allow the roos to mount her. Keep an eye on her when the roos learn how to work their magic lol

Dang, the chickens are looking awesome and you are doing such a great job,, soon you will have to change your name to Nakid Bresse Hatchery😂

It was hard integrating mine. But finally their ok. Except I still have the 3 Easter eggers separate from the buff brahma and Columbian wyandotte.
