It's too much water. Usually you just use the water dripping from your hair to begin with, then add water using a spray bottle or a trickle from a cup to loosen any hair stuck to the scalp. Also, wet plopping first before dry plopping will give a chance for your hair to absorb the products. Hope this helps!
I tried this method back in summer, since at that time I use a bucket and jug to shower (since the water will be too hot directly from the shower) and.... I got a much better result from just styling my hair in the shower and just wetting my hair with the shower head/jug when I need to add water back (like how Swavy Curly Courtney does it). I already have to stand in the shower, and if I style upside down my back already is aching by the end, there's no way I could do this every wash day! I am guessing the frizz is because of the water diluting the gel! I have fine hair, so it would make sense to dilute products that are too heavy for me, but using a spray bottle to wet a section of hair + hands and then use an appropriate amount of gel/cream/etc that way, or finding products that actually work for my hair, is much less wasteful of both water and product! You look beautiful as always, thanks for the video ❤️❤️❤️
I haven't tried this method. But i got to say, since i started my curly hair journey it has been the healthiest. It only been 8 months and i didn't like my curly hair, now i love it! You guys can see my hair in my hauls 💫
Think maybe you should not have dumped the original bowl of conditioner/water & used the same water with all products mixed in together to continue squishing all hair strands with complete mixture.
I am not sure what you are doing but if you just invert your waist, you can rest your entire head and almost all of your hair in whatever mixture. What you are doing is a variation of the bowl method. I just find a deep bowl, put my rice water mix and sit my head in the mixture for 5 minutes. Let it run out. Rinse and then condition. I never understand why CG's call it the bowl method and don't fully use the bowl. You'd also be done so much faster.
I get what you’re saying but I see a lot of people saying they like your hair. I love it bc I love being product free look. But of course it’s not for you and I understand ❤️
You consider this undefined hair? Damn. My hair is like that on a defined day. I like frizz and hair doing what it wants though, and never use gel, so I guess we just have very different standards.
Her hair doesn't look bad at all, it's really pretty, it's just not the defined look she usually wants.

I really like the natural curl pattern
Lana is a real one...as soon as I heard of this method I thought how rediculious!
You look drop-dead gorgeous in this thumbnail and your hair is absolutely flawless. You are just pretty, beyond beautiful

You can thank black women for those curly hair tips. The curly hair movement came about following the natural hair movement
This was a lot omg. Wash day is already too much admin. Won't be trying this 😂😂
Thanks for sharing! Too much work for me. I’ll stay with my routine 😇
Do you think this would work for short and a bit tighter curl? I’d like to try it!
I think its more for people with wavy hair cause they get the best results. 3b and tighter hair seems to get very frizzy with the bowl method
lana is army!!!💜💜💜

Also I like your plopping method.
Maybe it's a better method for looser textures?? Who knows!
I think so
That looked like an unnecessary headache.
Fun video but too much work 😆. I don't think I will try.
Just want to say I like the way to tell people things?well explain things to people and I like your shirt it's nice bts right?
