HEY LOW DARTS.... So you guys are out of CT? My small repair shop, Guitartec Repair, is located in Medway, MA, so if you ever find yourselves near Medway, which is about 35 miles SSW of Boston, please contact me so we can set up a time that works for you to bring your fretted instruments in for a greatly reduced (courtesy) Set-Up. You must bring new fresh strings! If possible, we can do it while you wait, but depending on when you bring it by and how many instruments, it may take a good portion of the day, so you can either hang out or drop off and come back. Please consider this as we like helping young working musicians as much as we can. This is our 48 year of helping all musicians.
Holy cow! They have a Leslie cabinet speaker hooked up to the organ... RESPECT!!!!
And they drag that Leslie and Hammond to their live gigs!
@richarddalkranian3261 gosh I wish! We were so lucky that Park City Music Hall let us use theirs in house
These young'uns are playing songs older than they are. And doing a great job. Respect.
That drummer killed it. Somewhere Jeff Porcaro is smiling.
Definitely bud👍
Bernard is smiling...
Its nice - but if you think this is like Jeff played it - its so far off - am sorry.
@@steffenfriedle3254
This kid’s version is fantastic and you are being silly. I’d love to hear your version. Steve gadd and dennis chambers would play it slightly different than porcaro did too. It’s just different. One of the all time great grooves/songs/players, and these guys did it justice.
@@steffenfriedle3254
Absolutely correct, his beat is way off
It’s a shuffle, perhaps he needs to learn exactly how to play shuffle
👏👏👏 I'm 57 and a former drummer. I can't begin to tell you how happy it makes me to see Gen Z appreciating the music of the 70's and 80's.
former?
I agree with you. I'm 56 and I'm still a drummer ;-) ! Fantastic Work !
Kid's got that Porcaro shuffle down! His playing is really smooth.
@@joegordon2915
I used to play all the time but I haven't picked up the sticks in years...
BTW: I didn't notice it the first time I watched the video but the lead guitarist is playing a Fender Jazzmaster and not a Gibson Les Paul like Steve Lukather did on the original song. You almost can't hear the difference which says a lot for him. 👏👏👏
I’ve been 79 for 30 years, Rosanna would be proud of you
I’m 71 and it is so cool to see the music of my era represented so well by talented young musicians! Bravo folks!
💯☮
Young ppl giving justice to a classic. Wow
I think I’m most impressed at the young cat crushing that shuffle beat that has slain many a drummer. 😅
Shout out to the drummer for doing a great job on that "Jeff Shuffle".
I was thinking the same thing, only Purdie not Jeff. Either way, he nailed it.
@zounds13 it’s been dubbed the Porcaro Shuffle - Jeff explained it as the Purdie Shuffle + Fool in the Rain + the Bo Diddley beat on the kick
Absolutely! Might be the most famous groove in pop music history - and the most difficult to play while staying in the pocket at tempo. The drummer nailed it!
I was a pretty good drummer back in the 80's (high school & college) and I couldn't match Porcaro. Looking back I think he's probably one of the most underrated drummers there ever was.
@@SeanOHanlonin no way is Pocaro underrated…wikipedia…"arguably the most highly regarded studio drummer in rock from the mid-'70s to the early '90s" and said that "it is no exaggeration to say that the sound of mainstream pop/rock drumming in the 1980s was, to a large extent, the sound of Jeff Porcaro
The whole band! But the DRUMMER! The Jeff Porcaro shuffle is so hard but this drummer makes it look effortless. Bravo!
I came to also compliment how the drummer absolutely nails Porcaro’s Rosanna Shuffle! Well done!
Awesome 👌🏻 👏 👍 😍 💖 🆒️. Keep it up! I'm a fanboy now
Jeff Porcaro , Steve Luke and David Paich would all be proud of you. Thankyou for keeping great music alive.
Geez, you guys…I’m 58…I grew up with this music. It really pulls at my heart strings to hear you cover this music with such passion and nail on perfection. Please…keep the torch held high, stick together and keep making the world a better place with your incredible gifts and talents.
I am 59 and I m grinning ear to ear. You guys are off the charts good!
62 here and a drummer for many of those years, also grew up with this music and it's great to see younger people like yourselves carry the torch for us old folks! Keep rockin', kids!!
I agree with you you got to see the young fans that Billy Joel has gotten right now take a look at Billy Joel and what he's doing right now it's amazing with the young kids are doing with him
I'm 60 and these guys are unbelievable good!!!
Right in! I’m 62 and loving you guys!
52 years young here. Y’all KILLED it! Tower of Power, the Porcaro brothers, Luke, David Hungate and David Paich would be so happy to hear that the legacy of Rosanna has continued.
I’m sharing this with my little brother, a 59 year old rocker.
No matter what generation, good music will always be good music and musicians will always appreciate it.
I am a 60 year old German guy in Munich and want to congratulate you to this brilliant performance. You guys really nailed it like absolute pros!
Wonderful to see so much talent in your generation - please continue surprising us 🙏
I'm 59 years old and it makes me happy knowing that some of our younger generation appreciates older music that I grew up with in the 80's. You all rock!!
Right???
I pray that this group of friends remain forever, incredible talent. 🕊️
I agree. Just stick together and you all will win! Cheers
I am one of the proud “Grammy’s”, etc - and for me - it feels like winning a true “Grammy Award” - listening to this incredible talent - seemingly “hatched” in the amazing Fairfield, CT music school system.
Thank you to all the parents❣️👏
Thank you to EACH Low Darts band member and to every adjunct band performer contributor!
Thank you, Sean, for being the glue on the incredibly intricate drum beats -
to Luke on his cool and amazing complicated electric bass runs;
to Sebastian on super
nimble piano playing fingers; to Jonas, who is off the charts on his innovative, and exciting “rocking” lead guitar;
to Sydney - whose voice has become even more golden - even in just a few years; to Kevin - and each and every one of the brass players who
make their deliveries SO
unique - adding volumes.
Thank you, Colman - for all that you have accomplished with the help of your parents and Fairfield music teachers - for the production- recording, piano, vocals, and arrangements over the past 4 years -especially during “lockdown” - and thank you especially for being my grandson.
God bless you all and may you keep cranking out these terrific classic rock songs - essential for both the old folks and new folks alike❣️ GKT
PERFECT COVER OF ROSANNA BY THE LOW DARTS!!!👍👍👍🎉🎉🎉🌞🌞🌞😀😀😀🥳🥳🥳
Thanks, Melton!
The Drummer's face when he started out that shuffle. Hell yeah mate, that is one difficult rhythm.
Being 37 and seeing yall play what I grew up listening to. Means we had some kick ass parents. Keep the flow alive yall
It's always refreshing to see young people who appreciate and perform REAL music. ❤
Phantastic, Spot on. Jeff Porcaro would liked … RIP JP
Good old tunes can’t beat it 👏👏
Low Darts keep hitting high🏆
In 1970 I was at a high school dance. I thought, "If I was in the band, I'd never have to dance." It worked. 54 years later, still not dancin'. It's good to see real musicians. Excellent job all around.
Ha ha, love it! That’s pretty much exactly why I became a musician 40 years go 😂
Same here 😂
Ha! ZACTLY!
the vocal mixing in this is absolutely CRISPY, good job guys.
Thank you!
The band has gone from incredible to off the charts. Colman and Sydney's voices have gotten even stronger. The whole band are now as good as any professional studio musicians which is amazing. Don't forget that Toto were top session musicians when they started.
The production quality/video and sound/mixing is as good as any professional studio. I am amazed at the sound mix too. Great horn section as usual including Tristan. Jonas, Sean, Luke and Sebastian make pro playing look easy. I would love to see them live.
Thank you very much, Norman!
You just made this old musician cry.. really.
I get it man. It's a beautiful thing. Gives one hope that great music will continue!
Same
Me too! The harmonies everything immaculate!
WOW!!!!! This is perfection. I'm 54 and have been listening to TOTO since I was 9 years old. You guys are incredible, keep it up. All the best from Birmingham, AL.
WOW!!
That gave me goosebumps!!
THANK YOU ALL!
Absolutely STUNNING!!!!! Toto would be proud!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
high fives to everyone in this band! keep making real music.
Nice job all. Love the organ rig with the Lesley! 💚🎸
Thanks! We were grateful to be able to play it!
I love the faithful reproduction of the original versions. No 'artistic licence' , inprov or missed parts. As a 70's music lover i very much appreciate what you do.
Love that this song from 1982 is still being covered. Awesome job, young people! I’m hooked. Gen X approved. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Standing Ovation!!!!! You Put a Ton of Work into it and it Shows!!! Your BEST SONG TO DATE!!!!
I haven't even been born yet so if I knew what music sounded like, this would be the greatest thing I've never heard!
Outstanding. Great. Next Generation perfect. 😊
OH MY GOD! I've been a drummer since age 13 and now 69. I've covered a lot of bands and am not easily impressed but...OH MY GOD! This brought tears to my eyes just knowing that people like this really exist in the world. Congrats to all of you for absolute perfection! Gotta especially hand it to the girl. Not only is she beautiful but her voice is Angelic! All of you guys! Perfect harmony and masters of your instruments! And as a fellow drummer, you nailed it man. Hardest riff I ever had to learn! You guys are perfection personified! This performance will stay with me for life! Now gotta go find the CD.
The drummer nailing the Purdie shuffle! Love it!
Porcaro*
@@moonlitegram Right. I know it was the amazing Jeff Porcaro on the recording but the beat was invented by Bernard Purdie. It's called The Purdie Shuffle. ua-cam.com/video/sj6o4cxWgl8/v-deo.htmlsi=Lx-U8N-yNL-Vm1v-
I'm gonna start by sayin, lma 60 year OLD truck driver from Mississippi and listen to outlaw country and the blues. These talented younguns have just made me listen to (and appreciate)what I have always called "elevator music"!
So young and so talented, makes me believe that the music of the past will be carried on at least one more generation. Use your youth wisely, and enjoy life, it passes by faster than you can imagine. God bless yall from an ol country boy, stay safe 🙏
Haha this is a great comment
So not elevator music but if it was, lock me in it!
@zedlicious what it is, is good 👍
Nicely done!!
YES!!! Horns are TIGHT! I’m an old bari sax player from back in the day and I love it. My man on drums is in the pocket!!!
Keep having fun!!! You guys are awesome!!
Incredibly talented kids. Deserve way more than 7k subscribers.
Thank you! We'd appreciate it if you shared with your friends to help get us there!
Absolutely

Ive shared w/ a few well-known musical artists from LA…asked them to take a min to listen and offer some words of encouragement
Wow ! Mind blown ! Again !
You kids are GREAT! - Each and every one of you! One of my favorite songs growing up.
Here they are, Luke (Steve Lukather), the young musicians you miss so much in an interview some time ago.
One of my favorite songs with challenging, difficult parts, played by such young people and so good. Wonderful!
DJ for 25 years, just came across your channel...incredible, extremely well done😎👍
Gen X here. For the first time in years, I am filled with hope for the future. Awesome job!
It is so refreshing to see younger people appreciate the effort that actually goes into producing songs that are not computer generated. With AI on the rise it is important that great young musicians like this become the guardians of real music created by extremely talented musicians. Much love to you all.
Low Darts are High Darts in my book! You all are absolutely amazing and fantastic!
Phenomenal job. Shoutout to the young lady. Absolutely perfect.
Props to the horn section on those quick yet jazzy complex bridges!! Nailed it!
Thanks! They nailed it!
This GenX'er appreciates the younger generation's taking a go at music from the 80's compared to the crap of today. Good job!
Thank you UA-cam Algorithm. You guys are fantastic and the depth of talent is amazing!
Wow, you guys should be soooo proud of yourselves, you sound great and are a pleasure to listen to! Well done, this ancient old fossil is proud of you all, for reliving the best years of music. Thank You!
Masterclass in layered vocals. Brilliant, thanks! 👍👍👍👍 (Dad thumbs)
Best cover of Rosanna ever...
That was the goal!
@@LowDarts Great job! However, I do believe you meant: "Why thank you...that was the goal!'' 😉
You’re right, I apologize
@@LowDarts Thanks, however, no apology is needed...you guys ROCK!
Best cover of this on UA-cam…great harmonies, metronomic drumming and excellent Brass ..and that girls voice….
Guitarist lit up after that solo. Great job all around. Good to see the young ‘uns getting their groove on.
There is a reason people don’t cover this song! Absolutely stunning! Great job!
Wow, as a 65 year old cover band musician, wow, just wow.
All these young people are superb musicians and getting better as they mature. Most of these songs are difficult. Played beautifully. These are the people that will create the real music of tomorrow.
Thanks, Phil! We hope so!
It's so nice to see a younger generation get into the good music from the 60s and 70s you guys are all very talented
TOTO 60s and 70s!!! 🤣🤣🤣. Rosanna=1982!
This is what real talented people are, old or young. Talent has no age.
They're pretty damn good playing and singing by themselves with recorded accompaniment but I'd like to know if they can sound as good playing as a group. A sterile environment for making music is one thing but music is always meant to be an interactive experience... player with player and musicians and an audience.
I'm not impressed. If they can do this all together, at the same time, then maybe they'll have something. Otherwise, this is not impressive at all despite what we're hearing. It sounds very sterile to me.
Absolutely brilliant!! My faith in the youth of today has been renewed. 😊
When I was a lot younger I always thought this song was just OK, but after watching your heart, passion and talent, you have made me really love this song.
Holy crap stick. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard this song and you start to hear stuff more and more after hearing it after 100’s of times and these cats have absolutely nailed it. Thanks for your hard work in recording this song and sharing
Well done, friends...
🎶🎶🎶
Coming from a 52 year old musician who is not easily impressed, I AM IMPRESSED 😎👍
Way to go, just subscribed
I've heard a lot of bands try to cover this, and this group nails it. SOooo good!
That drummer!!!👍
So talented young people - hope you will make your way as studio and/or live musicians - keep on! 👋
One more old guy who is smiling watching this!
You kids do a great job with the classics!
I think this is fantastic. I’m 54 years old and a dad of two girls 19 and 17 and we love this kind of jam. You did an exceptional job on this tune. Which is my favorite song by Toto. Kudos and keep going, you are all incredibly gifted and great.
Those vocal harmonies are killing it. The musicians are spot on. The Low Darts are my favorite new band. I can't believe I've never heard of such a talented group before today. Bravo 👏
Thank you!
I have been a musician (trumpet) since 1967 and these very talented young artists made me sit down to enjoy this! Wow! I think it might be time to get all y'all out of that little room and get y'all into some venues. But promise that y'all will continue to smile and have fun!
So good to see these talented young people being good young people and enjoying it. You instill hope for a nonviolent world!!
The good music is save on these amazing young generation.
Thanks!
Toto had some of the BEST studio musicians ever they were basically Boz Scaggs back up
band for the album Silk Degrees. Your vocals have matured greatly as a group and those were some KILLER 3 part harmonies
Basically Michael Jackson’s band for Thriller, too
Checking in at 67. Loving it! Classic rock lives on!
The future of music is in good hands!🥰
I refuse to say how old I am, but y'all killed it. So much fun. Made my day. We have a brother and sister here? Even better. So great!
Low Darts flying high - these musicians are KOMPLETE!
Timeless how beautiful music connects both the young and the old and makes the old feel young again. This 80s kid thanks you for the superb covers you're doing.
What's Old is New Again! Thanks Darts . . . thought for a minute I was listening to Lukather and the Gang again! So much talent!
Sounds great guys. Sydney is all grown up and beautiful. Wow.
PS: The bass player is the unsung hero in the band.
Thanks, Lukas
I love that you’ve aimed for accuracy in terms of emulating the original…kudos guys!
Shout out to the video taker/editor. Untold hours of work went into making this great video. The Woman singing the male parts grew on me at the end. Us old guys hate change, but you won me over.
Thank you! - Colman, the singer
Oooh that harmony again. Tight.
I was in the 7th grade when this song was released from Toto's fourth album back in 1982..... 42 years later you all absolutely nailed it perfectly! Awesome job!
For me, it was the summer between 6th and 7th grade and hearing this song every day at the public pool.
Great times…
This was awesome. Brought tears to my eyes. The lead guitarist is amazing. Everyone should be very proud of how incredibly talented they are.
So great on this track right? And just 20 now…a bit younger when it was recorded! Thank you for supporting!
51 year old musician here. You guys are phenomenal. You even have a Leslie speaker. Carry on…
Thank you! We'd appreciate if you shared with your friends!
Nice A-100 too
Props to the pianist hitting the deep bass notes that I rarely took the opportunity to highlight!
Thank you!
Great cover, as a drummer myself the drum part stays in the pocket. Great job
Well done youngsters, I’m almost 65 and a music geek. The Porcaro family had such an amazing influence on music from Dad Joe to his amazing sons. Their contribution to contemporary music will be felt and influenced for years to come.
Everyone looks like they are having a great time. This is music from my era and you folks did a fantastic job !!! Never stop rockin'.
