The baffle came off during the wash, our repair guy came out and told me it would be a $900+ to fix. Or just get a new washer, I was devastated. I happened upon a video of yours and ordered the part, the machine is fixed for less then $50 and 10 minutes of time. THANK YOU I am telling everyone about your videos and fast shipping!
+Jenna McDougall Awesome, glad the video helped you get the baffles fixed!

Hi great video. Your explanations are very clear. My baffles broke during a wash and I can hear the screws rattling underneath the drum. They are not in the bottom hose. How can I remove them?
Oh no, that's no good! If your washer has a filter assembly in the bottom of the washer you can see if they ended up there. If not, we'd be happy to help. We'll need your model number; you can look here on our website to help you find it: www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx You can give us a call at 1-877-477-7278 or you can chat us at our website: www.appliancepartspros.com/. Are the 3 little screws that important or do the ones that don't have screws automatically snap completely into place. No screw needed.
What causes the drum baffles to come loose?
Thank you
I only needed 1 baffle and ordered it from your company. It did not come with a screw. Does that mean I don't need one to secure the baffle?
Would you mind making a video on how to replace the front tub balance ring on an older Whirlpool Duet washer (model # GHW9100LW2 ) .... Also would you be able to find a part number for that? I found a balance ring replacement part but it has the front outer tub and seal with it...wasn't sure if I would be able to purchase just the balance ring and seal without the front half of the outer tub. Thank you so much!!
Should these baffles be removed routinely to clean under them?
I'm talking about the rubber gallery baffle
What can i do if my washer kitchenaid washes but the water stays in the washer
what do I do to find the screws if the baffles broke off during the wash and I cannot see them in drum?
+Jonathan Flanders If your washer has a filter assembly in the bottom of the washer you can see if they ended up there also take the hose off the bottom of the tub and check there.
The question is what to do when the hole at the top of the drum does not align with the screw hole for the baffle (this happens in my GE washer).
Tinchote You can post the problem along with the appliance model number on our repair forum and the techs can help you troubleshoot the problem.
The drum in my washer is totally encased.can't access a hole to screw in the baffle.what next?
Likewise, I have a Bosch and there is no access from the top. The new baffles had no screws but a plastic tab that lines up with a hole. Not sure how to secure them, they keep falling off. Can’t seem to find anything on line about it. Must be a very secret process. Any help appreciated.
I have a 4000 series Maytag. I have money jingling in 2 baffles. Not sure how the money got in there because everything looks tight. My question is, is it inevitable that the baffles will break when getting them off?
Same 😞
@@craigb2126 BTW, the answer is most likely yes. the plastic is the weaker part of the assembly so those plastic parts that contact the stainless steel tabs of the drum will break and can't be reused.
@@nicopicco Ok. Thanks. Yeah ive been hearing change noise for awhile and it getting old
my new one wouldn't go in so I submerged it in a pot of boiling water for 3 minutes and it went right into place. I didn't screw it in wasn't really necessary it was in very tight. if it comes off in the future I'll screw it in
No matter how hard I hit the baffle it did not move. From the top I could see that the screw socket was sticking fairly long into the hole for it in the drum, which was preventing the baffle from being released. If I moved the baffle just a little I could see that the screw socket was what was preventing it from releasing. I took a small sharp chisel and shaved as much of the screw socket that I could, removing the plastic that was in the hole in the drum. This allowed me to slide the baffle to the rear of the drum....releasing it. Good video otherwise!
Thanks for that tip!
I have replaced this baffle 5 times now. What is destroying these things? We even do super light loads now. I'm about to take a shotgun to it and will never buy another #whirlpool +Whirlpool
