I have alopecia as well. You aren't alone girl! Mine started out as a bald spot in September 2013. I lost 90 percent of my hair within that year. I have never met anyone in person who has this as well so it's inspiring to know that some one else is sharing their story.

Thank you for sharing. You are beautiful. My story is almost exactly like yours but mine happened at age 41. It is hard at any age but I can't imagine how hard it is at such a young age. I've had alopecia almost a year and a half. I went through all the same things. I am now in the acceptance phase. I've shaved my head twice. Your such a brave young lady. Keep being you and you'll inspire and help so many people. Good Luck!

I am 40,I started at 15. I am a license cosmetologist and probably contributed to some hair liss as well. Do not be afraid to speak to your doctor or guidance conselor. My daughter lost 1/3 of her hair at age 3. She is 22 and has regain all of hers. Her half sister also has the same problem, she and I are still in the fight. So you are not alone. Stay away from chemicals of any kind.Use sulfate free, hydrating shampoos;Make an appointment with a dermatologist as soon as possible! Take care!!!!!

I have alopecia areata as well. l have kept what little bit of hair as well. l have been watching the videos of brave women taking the plunge to cut off the hair. l wear lace front wigs so no one will see my bald head but my family members anyway. l am so inspired to know that l am not alone in this. The shame is gone. Since l work in the legal field, l will not wear my bald head in public but l am proud to say l am taking the baby step to cut off this not needed hair. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

I have alopecia areata. I've had it for about three years now. Im 26 going on 27 and i was around 24 when it first began. Have had a lot of regrowth but it's not 100 percent. Mine started randomly. Actually with me, I started noticing this really itchy/ burning feeling on my scalp at first. I first thought it was maybe dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis and thought it was just one of those things that would clear up on its own. That was until I was taking a shower one day and noticed my hair was actually coming out in my hands when I was washing it. Ofcourse this being the first time I ever experienced anything like it, it freaked me out and made me panic because I thought there was something seriously wrong with me. So i went to my doctor the next day and had my scalp examined and the doctor pointed out several of these small bald spots on my head and told me it looked like a case of alopecia areata. And I had no idea what it was or how I ended up with it. All I knew was I wanted to get rid of it. But I didn't know that it wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be. So my doctor recommended me to a dermatologist who literally looked at my scalp for 5 seconds and confirmed that it was alopecia . He immediately started giving me kenalog injections every 4 weeks into the bare areas of my scalp. Two and a half years went by and I have recovered 80 percent of it. And that's where I'm at right now. The annoying thing about it is, just when you think its going away another spot shows up. Also the fact that it's one of those things that you basically just have to live with. I've grown used to it, but it's hard because there are so many people that judge you, give you weird looks, and people that aren't aware of alopecia. The world can be cruel sometimes. Your video is very inspirational. God bless you, and I think you are a beautiful person the way you are. Physically and mentally. Thanks for sharing

    Pedro.

Call Dr Morse's office he could help you. I think you could get healed by detoxing your organs. Detoxing and juicing is key. It will take time but I believe your hair will grow back. Please keep me posted.
