I am 57 years old, and had one of the best days of my life. I discovered that my favorite music by far is the Blues. And on this same day I discovered Joe Bonamassa. What a gift this man has.
A comment about the talent Joe has around him, SRV'S Keyboardist!, David Lettermans, drummer! Tom Pettys brass!! And all are plucked from great origins not by mistake! And the back up black ladies get really belt it out! Did I miss anyone, O yeah Joe he's all right too! J/k
Mr. Joe Bonamassa, is hands down one of the greatest of this era, and definitely deserves to be on the list of the greatest ever. Anyone who disagrees must not know what good music is. Enough said.
What makes Joe such a treat to listen to is his understanding and interpretation of TONE. There are lots of fast players with great technique, but Joe is a master of tone, He REALLY understands guitar tonal subtility.
Same here @ 73 and I ve fortunate to hear so many live in the small clubs of the 60's and 70's there are still some good players coming up in the small blues clubs
Joe, I’m 78 years old and often your notes come faster than my brain can handle. Not so with this piece, though. I’m tracking with it. I had this feeling listening to Bach. The phrases just seemed to rhyme and I never got tired of hearing them over and over.
SHEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Came here for the guitar stuff, but that drummer is from another planet! All the best to JB and the band (for 2022) and all that love and appreciate true musicians at their best.
Hey docc2222, I am 65! And seen Joe on PBS and knew I had to see him in person! Did, Rochester NY, was without any regret! And trying to put together a trip to GR if that falls thru I got Cleveland Feb 2023! I'll be there!
This is what happens when you start playing guitar in the womb. And how lucky is Reese! Played with 2 of the finest guitarists in the history of the instrument 🎸
Still can't fathom I was playin blues keyboards in bands before this baby was even born. Seems like yesterday I saw Freddy King playin this at the Concourse. Some pricey vintage wood in that Explorer...in good hands. A+++++
Dear Joe!Thank you very much for sharing with us this amazing video. Big thumbs up #229. Today we received Your awesome CD & DVD, Live At The Greek Theatre. Thank you so much to send them in short time. You, Your Band, and the Vocals are brilliant, amazing, super fantastic! With love.Maria & Bela
This is the only man by my opinion who have vibe similar too gary moore. In this moment one of the best guitarist player. I"ll think that his sound will be beter in few years, and i cant wait that. Long live Joe. Best regards from Serbia. Serbia want to hear you live...
Loved it when they all jumped on the groove at 4:38. Joe is incredible. Reece can shred any keys whether it's piano, organ, fender Rhodes, it don't matter. Every other musician is top notch, including the singers. Cannot get enough of this concert. I believe this may be what REAL music is supposed to sound like!
Smokin Joe delivers as usual. Scorching lead. What an excellent drum solo. I started out as a drummer and played my first gig 50 years ago. That guy has incredible skills.
The drummer is Anton Figg from David Letterman Show. He's very good, but I personally like Tal Bergmann better. Haven't seen him with Joe in about 2 years.
One of my favorite artists. A true talent that pushes the blues forward for new generations to come. And the other band members will not be forgotten either of course. Great song with great power in it. The other day I heard Kenny Wayne’s version of this song and that is to badass. Take a listen to it folks.
My Co-worker Mr. Dean would jam this and send me email links to Joe Bonamassa all the time. He passed away on thursday 9-7-23. I'm here to jam and remember Dean. Rock In Peace Dean!!
Absolutely fabulous music - covering a wide range of music - from country to blues to jazz and also incorporating some Arabic and flamenco flavours!!! He certainly is top of his game and the most talented guitarist in the world!!
He descubierto a este genio de la música hace un par de semanas. Es increíble cómo toca la guitarra. Además tiene a un grupo de músicos excepcional y un coro que hace maravillas. En definitiva, a mis 66 años me he convertido en un fan de su música.
I often do listen to him all day. I work online, often boring work, and I'll be playing his videos while I work. When one ends my 11-year-old Autistic speech-challenged grandson comes over and holds onto my hands in case I might be turning him off. ;)
I just discovered him this year. I am mad at myself for taking this long. He is phenomenal in his voice as well as his guitar playing. He is pure genius
This guy is a true blues man it doesn’t get any better than this wow what a musician love his music guy has no bad music. God to continue to bless you and America. Gig joe go
Never has there been a guitarist like this ... there is feekin' nothing Joe can't play. I'm just floored by his raw talent. Always loved the greats: Hendrix, Clapton, Trower, SRV, King, Eric Braunn, Jeff Healey, Robert Cray, but Joe is now top of the list for me!
It's been almost two years since I've listened to Joe last time and I should say that he sings way much better than before! even taking Dust Bowl and Driving Towards the Daylight into account.
Joe and this band are absolutely awesome! But ladies and gentlemen, 4:57 May I introduce The Thunder From Down Under Mr. Anton Fig, formerly from Dave Letterman's band.
Joe doesn't just understand the subtleties of music, joe becomes the music. If you look real close you can see Joe isn't holding the guitar, the guitar is holding Joe!
Every thing Joe does he does justice to.....I Love Gary Moore's version, and it's still the Best, but as usual, Joe's blitzing it, and I'm sure Gary would be impressed.....
Joe's technically and tonally great but Moore was on another level...truly at one with his instrument...able to fully express his soul through his guitar...the best for me by a long way...RIP Gary!
Gary Moore and BB King are sitting somewhere watching Joe’s videos, BB turns to Gary and says “See? What’d I tell you ‘bout that boy?” (In a just universe, it could happen…)😑
What rock solid bunch of musicians. Reminds me of some the acts that used to come through the Commodore in downtown Vancouver during the early 70's. That's a lot of work and talent to put that show on night after night. But a stellar bunch of musicians in their own right.
I am 57 years old, and had one of the best days of my life. I discovered that my favorite music by far is the Blues. And on this same day I discovered Joe Bonamassa. What a gift this man has.
AMEN to THAT!
I'm a little older but I feel exactly the same way
anit no better music than the blues peoples
That is some great music tonight
He's the best
At 83 I can still appreciate the sheer magic of Joes performances. Total
talent.
I hope you're still going great
I am 92 on my way to 93 and still start my day with Joe's music and love it.
@@esthervance3304я восхищён тобой!
Бонамаса-великий гитарист!
Ok ok
One of the things I like about him is that he surrounds himself with really amazing musicians and he lets them SHINE!
The Best always due
Joe is a Badass Artist!!!!!!!! I'm 70 still Rock n Roll!!!!!!!
Best back ground singers in the game.
Agreed!
Mr. Joe Bonamassa, is hands down one of the greatest of this era, and definitely deserves to be on the list of the greatest ever. Anyone who disagrees must not know what good music is. Enough said.
Nuff said.
Listen to Gary Moore’s version. Joe B is a great guitarist but Gary...

This date and performance by Joe at the Greek Theater will surely have to go down in infamy as the greatest !! Unbelievable 1 1/2 hr show
The rocking brass section and the backup vocal gals just made it all happen!
I can't believe this kind of music doesn't get a billion views...
i can believe
Blues has different feel or mood to it ,people like pop music to much ,this is good though for something different when your bored .
some people have become less classy less groovy, its slap my bitch up while i hang my cock out the car window
Don't worry my friend, real music stays with real people
You can't believe it because you're most likely an imbecilic millennial with no brain.
Joe’s vocal has gotten stronger. Sounds great!
What makes Joe such a treat to listen to is his understanding and interpretation of TONE. There are lots of fast players with great technique, but Joe is a master of tone, He REALLY understands guitar tonal subtility.
Right on (y)
Exactly.
His choice of guitars is where it's at
Facts are facts, and it's a fact that Joe B. brings out the best tone in every guitar he plays. It's almost unreal.
Ttrree
When a old (62) rock and roller says Joe's music is the best to come around in my lifetime means something, at least to me!
Allan Henke same here buddy.
Word.
I am 71 & have seen Joe in Detroit, Salt Lake City & Tucson. Joe!!
73 and still seeing him
Same here @ 73 and I ve fortunate to hear so many live in the small clubs of the 60's and 70's there are still some good players coming up in the small blues clubs
I read that Joe's dad gave him a guitar early on. I want to thank that man!
That’s the guitar he rescued out of N’Orlins. The TONE!
THE Tone.
The energy level of these performances at The Greek are off the scale.
KILLER SONG!! RIP GARY!!!! ❣️💥. I’m 70, MY FAV OF ALL TIME❣️👏🏻
What's the difference between Joe and other talented musicians. To sum it up in one word CLASS.
Joe Bonamassa the king of the blues !!!
Pure talent. There are not enough adjectives to describe how great Joe Bonamassa truly is with a guitar.
Joe is an awesome Guitar player and The Band is incredible ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Un fenómeno
Anton! What a drummer!
I discovered him when I was 71. I’ve been into the Blues for more than half my life.
this whole band reeks of talent and Kirk Fletcher is unreal himself.
lol I think I've made at least 3 comments about him... he's a badass
@@bluesmakesuhappy massively underrated
EVH was a magician. Jimi was otherworldly. Stevie was Blues incarnate. This dude.........................no words

It's a good time to be old. 70 and counting with no regrets whatsoever. Aloha.😎🤙
the energy from this band is incredible.
Kirk's nod and "fuck yeah buddy!" grimace at @5.27 is so good. That drum solo is nuts
SHEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Came here for the guitar stuff, but that drummer is from another planet!
All the best to JB and the band (for 2022) and all that love and appreciate true musicians at their best.
Bonamassa. Man ! That’s a player for shure. And all the interesting guitars he brings on stage...
He’s in a class of his own.

WOW... WHAT AN AWESOME BAND! Joe was really getting into it at 4:05... I love the intensity in his eyes... Playing that guitar from the soul!
Masterpice!!!
This couldn't have been mixed any better.....Joe at the top of his game...what an accomplishment!
Not to mention the formidable Kirk Fletcher on guitar
Good ear bro 👍
Yeah, that other guitar player is an animal

Anton Fig always comes through on the drums. One of the best. Played with the CBS orchestra on the David Letterman show for many years.
He was drumming as a little kid in my school back in Cape Town. Studied music and has played with everyone...

Ummmm gary moore? The man could play anything, one of joe's idols
Joe B. is the "next blues God"...who else?
yes him or derek trucks
Tim Stoddard I second that! If Live at Royal Albert Hall came out in 1976, it would have been a smash like Frampton Comes Alive, or almost as much.
It's been almost two years since I've listened to Joe last time and I should say that he sings way much better than before! even taking Dust Bowl and Driving Towards the Daylight into account.
I didn't recognize the drummer until that solo at the end - Anton Fig, of the old "Late Night with David Letterman" show band! Still killing it!

Sweet, nice to see an Anton Fig solo too.
I thought so so knew as soon as I saw the hat
Fig was ALWAYS right on the money, with Paul Shaffer's band on Letterman's show, whether in song or accenting. He's great.
Wait...only one bass drum? If I didn't see it, I'd swear it was two.

Joe's talent goes without saying. But HOW ABOUT THAT BAND AND THE GIRLS!

Oh Boy, with Bonamassa there's no BS, no filler... just screamin' blues and scrambling around the fret board like a maniac.
