On the one hand, the room and gear is unreal awesome. On the other hand, it's kind of sad that you're sitting that close to speakers that size to get them to sound right. A pair of Kef R3's, a 1k amp and a decent DAC w/ DSP and/or room correction would blow this out of the water at that distance. Buy room correction software, it will work. And don't let your installer leave until you're happy!
Thanks for subscribing! It’s a local product here. But similar products should be available elsewhere. It’s 9mm felt-like material, made from recycled plastic. These “tiles” can be used on the ceiling or wall, single or double layer. My ceiling is 12mm plaster board with 8cm air gap before the concrete slab. I glued the tiles to this plaster board.
To take advantage of the full range of the Stellas in my opinion, your listening position is just too close. Imaging would be a lot better at least 11 feet from the Stella's.
Very nice. I added some much cheaper absorbers in my audio room and the impact was huge.
Looks fantastic, well done 👍
Thank you Manuel

What distance do you think my ear is from the speaker?
Try acoustic towel and hang it on the TV. You can make it exactly the TV size. It would also look like a deco.
Yes, covering the TV is important. I have acoustic panels I hang over the TV when listening.
Thank you for posting this video!
You’re welxome
Wow, the Acoustics sure have dampened. Have you ever thought of wall-to-wall carpeting?
No that would be too much. More damping is not always better. My reverberation times are just nice now
magnifique!!!
Really nice changes. The switching of the room is obvious. How is the sound at the seating area in the back?
Thank you. Sound in the back is fine too, but for critical listening, I got to be in the listening position
What a wonderful dampening..!! what's the ceiling treatment name or brand? (BTW I'm subscribing..!!)
Thanks for subscribing!

Currently my ears are 10 feet and 3 to 6 inches away from the tweeters. I test often by moving forwards and backwards, this is a good spot.
I can hear the echo in the room as you speak.
The reverberation times are just fine. They came down a lot after all the acoustic treatment already.
Malaysia? Nice
just a question about the speaker size: when they give you the size that is with the base? because usually speaker base/support is the bigger one.
is the Stella‘s midrange better than the scala?
Yes of course
Are you using any acoustic absorption feet underneath the speakers? Greetings from London
Yes, I’m using isoAcoustics Gaia Titan Rhea. Big improvement, highly recommended
@@robsaudiophilejourney in which ends did you appreciate the improvement in sound?
Wider soundstage, tighter bass. There’s videos on UA-cam with A/B tests, also using Focal speakers. Difference is very clearly audible
@@robsaudiophilejourney do you have Banana plugs or spade on the end of your speaker cables?
@@kace2006 Spades on both sides. I have bi-wire speaker cable from Triode Wire Labs
Hej, nice video! What is the product you used on the ceiling?
Thank you very much! It’s from a local supplier here in Malaysia called Begins Acoustics. Product is called BAT panel 9mm thick
