The new exhaust may not necessarily sound "better" but its waaay quieter and way nicer to drive. This will also allow me to talk to camera while driving without having a droning exhaust ruining the audio. Just some clarification, if I was going for a meaner sound I never would have swapped over a old stock exhaust.
Dirt Garage i just for a new exhaust system on my truck and it sounded like garbage! Got home grabbed my wrench and found out I had a loose exhaust manifold and where it meats the crossover was loose 😂 tighten it up and sounds great now , but still just like yours raspy 😂 I really need to put the videos together and post it up.
Haha its crazy how raspy the truck sounds now, eventually I'll replace the muffler, probably with a another stock but brand new one. Right now it's quieter than it ever has while I owned the thing. You should post up some videos!
@@DirtGarage it’s the presentation. You did a solid job of showing a natural flow of work and pieced together with style. I subscribed immediately on principal dude. Can’t wait to see what else is on this channel.
I do the same thing with my exhaust,,never went to the muffler shop,,I will build my own thank you,,I do like my header though,,and the 22r loves to breathe,,do you ever fill the housing the birf is in with grease,,I do not,,I just pack the birf
Not a huge fan of the rasp, but to each their own haha. At least it wont drone anymore, drone is absolutely horrible haha. Ive still got factory exhaust on my land yacht. Im gunna be building custom 3" exhaust for the mazda, but im not sure where im gunna end up dumping it yet haha! I suspect she'll be a coal machine though, so fender dump is out :P
I'm not to keen on the rasp either. But driveability is night and day. I did not mention it, but only got raspy up at 4-5k RPM.. Well worth it in my opinion, especially for filming inside cab talking.
I recently put headers and a flowmaster super 44 on my 94 pickup. I’m really happy with it. Deeper sound when I want it, and fairly quiet when I’m just motoring around. Yours actually sounds pretty good though for a used exhaust.
So is this an example of the Birfs not liking 37's? Or was this one older and due to break? Great video, as always, love the exhaust swap, not having the drone sound in the cab will be so much nicer now. Awesome content, keep it coming. Cheers 🍻
I really like your channel. The normal guys garage, nothing fancy but very functional. Keep it up
Thank you! Gotta use the tools I got 😀 And hopefully show people you don't need the fancy stuff to build capable off-road rigs!

Ok this was ridiculously informative holy shit
Great! Not really a educational video, but glad I could share some information 😂

where is your toyota altis i want to see more on your altis pls im from legaspi Philippines
I just want my truck to sound like it's not turned off 😂
Haha, there is definitely a sweet spot between quiet and to loud. I'm still not quiet enough, I'll probably end up swapping the muffler eventually.
DIESEL SWAP!

Mine had a flowmaster on it, that is what I took off in the video 😂 It's just so much nicer driving down the road.
what kind of front bumper is that?
Mine is crazy obnoxious with the cherry bomb that’s on it now, love the way yours sounds I’m gunna have to do the same 👍🏼👍🏼
I've been there. When my truck was a 3.0, I added the cherrybomb after the original muffler rotted off.
Did ya get a 3rd gen runner?!
I've had the 4Runner for a while now 😃 I think about 3 years, one of these days I will be building it up. When I can afford to anyways.
Really excited to see what u do with the 3rd gen runner
Are you just running wider mud flaps to make those bigger tires legal here in B.C.?
Yup

Both! As far as I know this was a factory birf and 38 years old. Haha, one day I'll upgrade to some beefy ones to handle the 37s better.
Good mod , i like you channel
Thank you!
@@DirtGarage look at me I added a movie about my Toyota 4runner 4vzfe regards
hey when are we gonna see a 4 link swap and a shorter bed :P
Shorter bed sooner than later, 4 link is eventually 😂
A 'little' raspier ROFL.
Sounds like a 4 banger now 😂
No god
