    Fantastic, just a thought, maybe at the end of your videos of fusion you could just freeze the clip for a second just on the node layout, for me i think i would find it much easier to refer back to as can then work on davinci in another window and just slide from window to window, hope this makes sense, Naming each node is so much better then not.
    im sure you have made the fusion page so much easier to use for so many people,
    many thanks

    Hey, Just thought I'd drop some positive Feedback. Had quite a bad time for a bit and wanted to find sth new [[17 yrs old , doing my A-Levels and stressed af, dont really have time to do much at all]]. So, I thought I'd try to get into editing. Tbh, over the past weeks i tried quite a few of your vids and , although I dont have the time to really make something that would bring me any sort of benefit , I really enjoy playing around with random short clips from games I'm playing w friends every once in a while. Sure , my editing skills and creativity is lacking up until now, but some effects due to your tutorials look really dope to me, and, although I dont post any videos or so , I really enjoy doing those edits on the side.
    I hope you have a great day , because you sure made a lot of mine a whole lot better. Gave me something to look foward to at the end of the day when I got some random idea in class to a clip i recorded the day before. Be blessed man.

    One last thing where did you get the sound effect for the building grow part. And what’s the name so I can download. Also look out for a tag I will be tagging you in this can’t wait to post on ig. Took several tries but I finally got it🙌🏾🥳. Also video request can you do a eye transition tutorial?

  • @anscia
    @anscia 5 років тому

    Awesome video, just a note: could you explain how you decide to link the nodes? I didn’t understand why, for example, linking different nodes the wall went behind the building instead of being on the front, at 07:33. Or how that strange masking blob at 05:00 was fixed just linking the building node to the merge1 node...
    If you explain why you do what you do I can understand, otherwise it’s just mechanical learning, it’s compartmentalized to this kind of project.
    Just my two cents, the rest is gold, I love the idea of the effect, I’ll surely try it!!
    Thanks for sharing

    • @JamieFenn
      @JamieFenn  5 років тому

      Hey thank you so much. Honestly with longer more advanced tutorials I tend to try and make is as clear and concise as possible without going into detail on everything because if I didnt then the video would be an hour+ long. I've put a ton of other videos where I explain that multiple times and since this is one of my most advanced tuts I feel like there were a few things I could skip.

    • @anscia
      @anscia 5 років тому +1

      Jamie Fenn thanks for taking the time for replying me, I’ll surely check your other videos out.
      I understand that you had to cut many details, it’s just that I’m not used to the nodes mentality, I’m too used to the adobe ecosystem...

      @JamieFenn  5 років тому

      Ahhh ok. And no problem, I try to reply to everyone the best I can. Yea its quite different (I came from FCPX) and I was like WTF when I tried doing basic compositing. Check out this video -----> tinyurl.com/vujasgg

    Bro such a great video !
    I have tones of questions too since it doesnt go as smooth like in the video.
    when i create the second polygon, it creates a "window" in the luma key too.
    The result it is showing the true colors of the sky footage inside it as if it ignores the luma key.
    Maybe you should create a course for advanced effects :)

    • @JamieFenn

    Very interesting, but please tell us what and why you are going to do something like "click on the polygon tool" before you do it. Showing us the effects of what you have done after you have done it is a constant disconnect. Yes. One can watch the video several times to figure out where you are going and how to get there, which is what I have done. Otherwise, a very informative effort, so thank you for that.

    • @JamieFenn

      I explained why I was clicking the polygon tool multiple times in the video. It's to accomplish the masking needed to cut out pieces of the building. Next time Ill try and be more clear. This isn't a beginner tutorial either so some basic knowledge of how the fusion tab works will help.

      @@JamieFenn thanks!!!
      One more thing, when you're doing the tutorials, show us first the final results in the beginning! That way, we'll know what to expect!!
      You're a big help right now, I've been using premiere/afterEffects for 3 years now. Switching is pretty disorienting, especially when color grading and adding effects!

      Kensley Innocent I did show the effect in the beginning of the video. Did you you watch the first 15 seconds?
      And yea it can be tough to transfer but I put out a lot of videos that shout help you get started. 👍🏼👍🏼

    • @JamieFenn
      @JamieFenn  5 років тому +2

      Because Davinci is free. You can also buy the studio version , get free upgrades, and theres no stupid monthly or annual fee...

      @@JamieFenn hey man videos are pretty fire and well explained i respect u for that but this effect is the one that i hate the most bcz people should clearly figure it out by just looking at it in little bit of slow mo or frame by frame

    • @JamieFenn
      @JamieFenn  5 років тому +4

      But its the workflow I wanted to show. Lots of people just dont know. Most effects you can see watching frame by frame ya know?
