same my, but with new battery it just not working at all. Have no idea why, it doesn't make sense. I do have SDR so it's not about sync - it's just not sending anything. As soon, as I switch back to original, it's workig again. Same kind battery, 3V. Even one half usage with almost identical voltage doesn't work.
I have a 2006 a4 cabrio with the same type of key fob, however only one battery and takes a 2032. Of course, before finding your video on how to do it correctly, I fear I've damaged it. Is it easy to buy a new fob replacement?
My friend had depeogramisation problems cause he removed the batteries from the key. His a4 tdi's stealing defenss System thought that the cár is being stolen when hé starts it up, any1 knows the solution for this?
My verified steps are: - Insert the key into the ignition - Turn until the lights come on - Press and hold the lock button on the key and at the same time lock the car using the button on the door - Unlock in the same way - hold the unlock button and unlock with the switch on the door - Turn off the ignition and remove the key maybe there are more steps, than needed, but those worked every time, however I've hit another problem - it just won't work with new battery for me and have no idea why. I know it, as I bought SDR dongle and I can clearly see, that with old battery it broadcasting something, but with new, it's doing noting. Maybe you actually hit the same issue as I did.
well, I just don't get it, but in my there is just one, but it works on it's own old one still (but some time it's not, so I want to replace) but it just wont work on new one, after replacement. Same type, same polarity, but it just won't work at all. When I place back the original, it suddenly start working again. And yes, I've even test it by multimeter, I do have even one, half-used, what does have same voltage, but just +0,1 V better and it's not working neither. Do someone hade same issue?
ok, found out myself. Problem is actually CR2025 baterry, instead of RC2032 Looks, that prevous owner used wrong one. It worked, but not really fited and after using brand new, it's probably a bit slimmer and wont reach the contacts because of it.

My 2004 Audi A4 Cabriolet has an identical looking key fob, but uses one CR2032 battery.

I had to go put the key in the car manually and start it and it worked after that
Ditto
So does the 2004 a6 quattro!
Great video always loved these switchblade keys looks like something James Bond would have
I think so too! Put a little pocket knife in lieu of the key and you're all set
Thx my man 🙏 i couldn’t find the battery on the keys
Thank you this helped so i didn't break mine trying to get it open

eBay is probably your best bet to get a replacement - ebay.us/xarhn9
Buy an old key, get the blade cut, get a virgin chip and initialize it.
What did you damage exactly?
Actually found out didn't damage it. My audi guy in Tampa fixed it...didn't tell me how though.
@@karmagirl4009 great to hear.
This is a video! Not that 10-15 min
I appreciate that! Glad the video could help :)
My2004 Audi has CR2032 battery

Did he replace the battery or just full on remove it?
My a6 2003 have 2032 !!!!
I just got my audi tt I assume it's the same
Yes it is.
Ahh how to program them after changing as it does not open with the remote
For me one ignition with the same key fixed the issue!
I'd like to know same thing
My verified steps are:
- Insert the key into the ignition
- Turn until the lights come on
- Press and hold the lock button on the key and at the same time lock the car using the button on the door
- Unlock in the same way - hold the unlock button and unlock with the switch on the door
- Turn off the ignition and remove the key
