- Ivy, The Royal Enfield Classic 350 tours North Wales finding mountains, lakes and some fantastic twisty roads.
It was such a lovely evening it would have been a shame not to have a ride out.
Venturing out of Betws-y-Coed I followed the road to Caple Curig, turning onto the A5086, some of the most fantastic views anywhere in the UK open up, lush green fields, blue lakes and mountain peaks reaching high into the sky.
Couple this with the burble from Ivy’s exhaust, and I was in heaven.
Riding a loop around Mt Snowdon, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend an evening.

This really is a lovely part of North Wales; thank you Dave for 'taking us' along on this trip with you. Living as I do in Aust, the last time I was in this area was back over 50 years ago. It doesn't seemed to have changed very much, which is good! 👍

Great video, I’m a member of the VMCC Cheshire Cats, and we have just finished a run on the Snowdon Loop, about 230 miles. Unfortunately the weather was not like yours, cloudy and rain. Cafe in Bedgellert shut. But a brilliant ride.
My favourite part of North Wales, in the 80s used to hire farm cottages in that area you just rode through. One was overlooking Lake Padarn amazingly beautiful I can tell you. Perfect ride for the Classic and what superb weather you had, I think this area is one of my favourite part of the UK. 😊
You done well tagging that bus, that's what makes a good motorcyclist .
Vehicles cutting across us as we approach is very dangerous.
We must be ready to stop quickly if they don't see us coming.

Interesting side point, I don't think I saw a single pothole on roads that get some of the harshest weather in the UK. No gas and electric supplies under the roads I guess - just goes to show what causes the damned things!
Scenery really nice , I normally go over to the ponderosa and on the Betswy Coed , there's a nice chippy there . The more I see the R E classic the more I want one 😍. Enjoy .

Nice one Dave. There is some stunning scenery and great roads in North Wales. I never tire of riding there. I was surprised there were no coffee stops!. I think there's a nice cafe in Llanberis.

Great video! I had a tour of ‘Electric Mountain’ when I was at University. I was studying geology. Very interesting. Hadn’t been opened long and a friend worked on the project again as a student! 👍

Most unusual mountain "range" I've ever seen? Moonscape like- right? Loved ALL the passes- today was a peak pass experience. Oddly, did you notice that not a single pass had any weather variance, a bit unusual?
