- Ivy, The Royal Enfield Classic 350 tours North Wales and ventures on to Anglesey to find a Bridge, a Castle and (almost) a Lighthouse.
Thomas Telford’s suspension bridge, opened on 30 January 1826, is our route onto the island. Looking back over the Menai Straits to Snowdonia, gives lovely views.
Let’s have a ride and see what we can find.
Ride safe, Dave

such a joy to hear your "hey hey hey" as your bike rolls.
Good stuff a nice slow ride through some spectacular scenery 👍
Lovely ride.. familiar roads too.. some great ones in Wales.. thanks again 🤘
Great views, lovely roads, love your Welsh pronunciation 😊 cheers Dave 😊👌
I've done exactly the same route many times, good video. Should have paid the £5 to complete the journey 😄 1st time I went was back in 1968. I was on a 125 suzuki. Still enjoying my riding and will be picking a new hunter up next week as a second bike. Keep the video's coming, 👍
Another evening’s entertainment for myself and her who must be obeyed 🥴. She has always suggested Wales for a holiday which I immediately turn down as I only speak English and am too old now to go to evening classes……👴🏼😉😱😂😂😂
You have been so lucky with your trips and good weather. I haven’t used the bike so much this year as here in east Anglia it hasn’t stopped raining for much of 2023. Extremely enjoyable trip and educational, thank you and be safe.
Thanks for posting these ride-along videos. Really enjoy the great commentary about some of the historical sites. Would absolutely love to be able to take my Royal Enfield around England. We need more slower paced roads here in U.S.
Nice one Dave. When you mentioned visiting a lighthouse I immediately thought of South Stack. That is well worth the ride, be warned it can be awfully windy there. Penmon Lighthouse is worth ticking off your list but South Stack is more impresive. I have spent a lot of time around Llandudno, Conway and Anglessey and never tire of it. The other week I fancied fish and chips so rode my bike to the Galleon at Rhos on sea (just outside Llandudno) a round trip of 140 miles just for the ride out and the meal.
I would gladly pay to go to the Lighthouse, the view must be stunning, they must have some coffee and a scone, well, next time...
That was really entertaining to watch, stunning scenery and I have picked up a few roads that I didn’t know so will be having a tour out, please keep up the good work with these videos they are great to watch and well put together, all the best Nige.
For the record I’ve stayed at the same B and B (twice now). Basic but comfortable; run by a lovely young couple who couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. And yes, there is a garage at back which they allow you to use. It’s a perfect base to explore the area.
Thanks again for the video really enjoying the series. I have a Himalayanr and enjoy a similar mindset although I have … 24 hp!!! 🙏🏽
Oh, and they’ve been charging to go down to Penmon Point for many years. It is well worth it for the iconic lighthouse and the cafe at the end. Used to be £3; not sure what it is now. Did you say a fiver? 🤔
Always great to watch your vlogs and I totally agree, Fred Dibnah is missed, I loved and love all of his past programmes too.
Thanks for sharing and see you on your next adventure 🤟🤙👍
I did the Anglesey part of your journey on Thursday on my Meteor. I was reluctant to pay the toll to Penmon Point. I also only wanted to take a few photos as it’s been many years since I’ve been on Anglesey. But the toll charge for motorcycles was £1 which I paid and got some photos
Wish they had told me it was only a pound I would have gone down.
Next time they say it's a fiver I will show them your message.
Ride safe, Dave
@@thatblokeonamotorbike the prices where on a board by the shed motorcycles £1 through to motorhomes £12-50 . Enjoy your rides and keep sharing them .

Lovely ride once again I’ll remember that little turning to go to the light house but I would not pay £5 either . How are you finding your bike doing these bigger distances? I ask you that and in India they probably do bigger distances and rougher roads👍🏍
Brilliant , certainly given me an appetite for North Wales and of course respect to Fred 👍
Excellent, thank's for taking me along, I have the same bike, & yes they do have a habit of making you grin, a lot.
Great ride and more stunning views. I live in South Wales but as soon as I manage to get one of these cracking little bikes and get it run in, a trip North is definitely on the agenda. Thanks for sharing.
I had a week in wales with my Dad 15 years ago (my last holiday) Dads gone now but l often think about that week, thanks for videos. Oh and the home made bed made me smile as l sleep on one l made years ago, it'l see me out😊
Brilliant roads and love it when I see Araf written on the road ! Lovely ride on the Classic 😊
Wonderful video, thanks for sharing your ride
Remembering the times we were at Anglesey Motor Race circuit, doing our Marshal impressions, and stopping at Conwy and Chester on the way home. Cheers Dave, DINO, PANDA, and Da BOYS.
