Great video, I just purchased one of these from Davco. NOT cheap but worth it, especially if you are working on DD13, DD15 and DD16 engines. Biggest mistake shops make is not priming the engine after major repairs have been made. Keep up the great work TAT
Would you still recommend your homemade HF blaster fuel primer? Thinking about going that route and just adding an inline spin-on fuel filter. Thoughts?
my shop has that same DD primer. works like a charm 9/10 times. the other 1/10 i’d rather just throw the whole truck away but usually the second time you try the primer it works out anyway
Lower quality priming tools may cause air to enter the fuel system and cause failures. The pump in the video is the most reliable tool when servicing DD15

Lotta people need to watch this, good job. I find a lot of people aren't raising rpm to really get the fuel pump flowing and run into dramas.

Great video!!! I work for Penske and we have this machine. Excellent way to bleed the fuel system. Especially for the tractors.

When changing the fuel filter is it beneficial to change the davco/ secondary filter?
I’ve never used none of those tools … just hand prime.
I just fill the filter ups with fresh diesel and pump .
