Great video. I just picked this item up today. I'm thinking it may be a faulty model... No matter how loose I make the 2 knobs on the arm, both segments still point upward. I can push it down with some force, but then it pops right back up. Am I doing something wrong, or does it sound like I may have gotten a dud and need to return?
The base of Crane 4 is very wide. It does not pass through the ring. You also said that the part going under the gimbal loosens quickly. What is the best solution for Crane 4?@@BlakeRidder
Thanos SE is good but not great. There is limitations on how you turn the gimbal. For example, if you use the knob for tilt, then you can't do pov. If you handheld the gimbal with a monopod, you can easily do a crane shoot. This can't be done with Thanos se. I can't do a smooth shoot at the beginning. I feel handheld do better result. Later, I saw a UA-cam that mount the gimbal in different way. He put the side handle in the mount. That way the gimbal become horizontal. After that the shoot is a lot smoother. If you put the gimbal battery handle directly in the vest mount, ithe mount will damage your gimbal battery easily. It happens on mine....I would recommend get a vest that has a center volume with a baring so you can turn the gimbal 360 degrees.

I love my Thanos SE. Now I need to get my DJI RS 3 Pro. Fingers crossed for a big Black Friday discount.
What?! 😅 what do you use with it at the moment
@@BlakeRidder I have my Blackmagic Pocket Pro 6K on it for handheld. It's not perfect, but it beats trying to handhold it without it.
Said camera operator here. I can confirm that this was the smoothest gimbal setup I have ever used.
wow thank you so much for the close-up review! The quality is not that great! But love the functionality.
hello any link to find the smallrig clip?

Make sure you already have a gimbal on it. Unless it’s a super light gimbal. The weight should push down
nice, the short was really good.
Thank you!
Is this product compatible with Zhiyun Crane 4?
Yes
