I raced at MSR Houston (clockwise) earlier this year, and am going again Nov 6/7 next month. I had a blast with my Focus ST there, FBO E30. I burned my brakes down to metal because i chose the wrong pads..this time i got a new track dedicated set of rotors and pads (Hawk DTC60), and will have an oil cooler on. I cant wait! Im curious, why were you cutting out or letting off so much on the top end? hitting rev limits? didnt want to shift? CCW looks interesting, looks more brutal than CW...looks like Ill be going CW again. Im from San Antonio so a few of caravan up there the Friday before and stay the weekend. Its so much fun, I just hope we dont get plagued with rain this time lol
fun fact, the st brakes are the same as the focus se brakes, thats why so many people decide to do the rs brake upgrade, I decided to go with slotted rotors and hps brakes (the loudest brakes ever) on a dailyable track car.
This video isn't a good representation of car vs car. There are so many factors to consider when comparing aggressively driven cars. Driving skill is the most important factor. I like both cars. In the hands of most drivers, they won't be able to notice a difference between the two.
From sim racing to real racing. I love it!
Got tired of the fake stuff lol
Looks like an awesome time on the track!
6:43 some tire locking action from the R ..
This looks like so much fun... i miss tracking my type R so much.. and you're a pretty good driver ..
Why does it sound like its constantly cutting out or you are constantly stabbing the throttle off and on ?
fuel cuts. probably running out of gas.
Damn slow CRX! Move Over. LOL
I was suppose to be there for the SCCA Time Trials but the RSX wasnt track worthy in time, still went sunday to vlog as Steve did track sprint tho
I found out about the event too late. Would have liked to try it out.
Great racing guys!
Thanks!
Nice job, I recognize that slow Porsche. I sat many a frustrated lap behind that car, they are super slow.
Great driving!
Thanks!

The car was having ignition issues. That's why the car kept breaking up at higher RPMs

This just shows GSR's with enough time and money into them, can keep up if not be faster than a type R.

Faster than a type R. Never. Owned a gsr it was aight.
maybe so but it will never be a type r ever!
Sweet!
Wondering the same thing.
Why the jumping on and off the throttle?
Nice! What's done to the Type R?
They’re NASA Honda Challenge 2 cars
What's up with motor/throttle cutting out?
The dizzy was starting to give out.
Does texas have smog laws?
It’s only by county, in my county there isn’t but in my friends in Austin there is
Cracking gsr
Dont you have a fifth gear? 😁😁
Man that crx should have given you the point by sooner lol
Right! lol
