I have a 2020 4 seater talon I bought for farm use. I had a 2014 polaris ranger but I couldn't keep bearrings in it long. People ask why I didn't spend the money on a new truck and it's because most of my driving is on a farm that is not friendly to anything but sport sxs. Steep washed out hollers everywhere. And I already have 2 running trucks! Love my talon. Neighbor had a commander for a few months before the axles fell out at 120 hours. That was a few years back.
In several states they are street legal. You need to add a Horn, Break lights and turn signals, and some require DOT tires, and windshield. They have complete Kits to do this.
It is called editing. By the time you see a video, 1/2 a dozen or more have been made. And they are often NOT in order. If you watch/listen to the TFLtalk, often they are discussing what they cannot discuss and referencing videos yet to come, that have already been released. 😉 The Alaska series was over with (for me) the moment they released the video showing it was already in Prudhoe Bay. Everything after that is the legs of the journey that should have come before. He did at least 1/2 a dozen if not a dozen videos in Korea before he even got to do his part in Lightning series as it was going on. Then flew to Alaska to do the last bit and there were videos being released of him being in Korea LONG after he had flown to Alaska. 😉
$30,000? looks like you have not been to a dealer lately, RZR Pro R 2 seat around $38,000 4 seat $42,600 Kawasaki 4 seat, quoted with 3 Kawasaki packages: $46,300, Was in the market for a KRX ES (live valve) 4 seat $35,600 out the door (stock) Changed my mind, to much for something that sits in the garage most of the time.

@@patd4u2 That's true. But if you're patient, willing to travel, and find the rare dealer that isn't lubed up and ready to rape you, you can buy any Talon made for under $30k new.

It's great for us out West. Fast driving, dry wheeling, etc. Really it just needs better refinement. It's not an "open diff" that "uses the brakes" to keep the wheel from spinning like people think. It's kind of like a ratcheting auto locker. With power applied and both wheels having traction the wheels are both applying power unless you're cornering or one wheel starts slipping. The brakes are applied to re-engage the cam and follower type lock and try to keep the power applied where it's needed. You can see in videos it works better on some Talons than others. For us that primarily ride in the desert at a faster pace it really is nice over having a normal selectable open/locked locker. The front diff is also very durable, as well. Most of the failures I've seen are cracked/broken cases. I've seen a lot of abuse on camera and haven't seen one grenade.
Dont meet safety requirements for street use, No crush zone in front for one thing. Front tire outer edge in front of body. (great for off road but not for a head on collision)

Does Roman have a twin? How is he in Nashville when I thought he was in Alaska? That guy is everywhere!

These things just rake in profit. I'd be surprised if it cost them $15k to make one of these.
27k for the Talon. According to the website.

Trust me, it’s insane. We have one with 32 inch tires on it, it’s like a Cadillac.
Ditto 👍

This is adaptive suspension, not active suspension.
Pretty much means the same, no?
@@joshc606 No. Search "Bose Active Suspension." Waaaaayyy different thing.
